Inspired by the seaweed washed up on our village beach, I have taken its silouette and cut it from silver sheet to create simple yet elegant & striking earrings. Choose static (post) or movement (earwire) styles.

The seaweed shape measures about 2 inches long and 3/4 inches at the widest leaves. An additional 1/2 inch is added with the ear wire.

This ooak sterling silver cast ring is part of my Seaweed series and is inspired by sea life.

Each anemone tentacle was hand formed with malleable wax and multiple tentacles were modeled into a ring, invested, cast, and then finished and patinaed.

A solid, nicely weighty ring with a 5/16 inch wide and 1/8 inch thick band.
This ring is a size 6 and 1/2 (M 1/2). It is one of a kind and cannot be resized.

This one of a kind bracelet mimics the tangled seaweed that washes up on sea beaches with all kinds of interesting pods and shapes which are part of the kelp plants. This bangle looks like a bit of abstract lace nestled around the wrist. Asymmetrical, it is interesting at every angle.

A dark patina gives depth and definition to the satin finished woven and twisted wires while the 11 pods and flower shapes are highlighted with a buffed finish.

Life in a tropical paradise. Unfortunately most of us can't be there, but wearing this talisman close to your heart can take you there in spirit.

Made from sterling silver sheet, the stylized tapa flower has an operculum shell at it's center. An operculum is a spiral shell on the foot of a sea mollusk that protects the animal from predators. When the animal is under attack it basically pulls into it's shell and pulls the 'trap door' shut so no soft parts are exposed. The pendant measures 1 & 1/4 inches square and hangs from a black braided imitation silk cord which can be adjusted, by pulling on two knots, to any length from choker to 24". Pieces will vary slightly because the shells vary in size, shape and color.

This pendant is part of the Lonely Bay Series and made with shells picked up from the beach of Lonely Bay in New Zealand.

The inspiration for this pendant / brooch came from the Monsteriosa plant growing beneath our deck in New Zealand. I think of our area of New Zealand as a garden of eden. Growth there is almost palpable, prolific and larger than what I am used to in the U.S.

Made of hand fabricated sterling silver and white shell pieces, this piece measures 2 inches by 2 inches.The shells are loosely set and impart lifelike animation by their movement. It comes with a black organza ribbon and can be worn as a choker or at any length. it also has a protected pin mechanism so the pin stem does not prick when worn as a pendent. It is lightweight and sturdy.

This is a perfect talisman for those who resonate with the undulating movement of the sea.

This brooch measures 2 and 1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide and approximately .25 inches in depth. It is made of sterling silver with a soft matt finish and features three operculum shells.

This design, from a group of art jewelry named "Relics of Lonely Bay", is based on shells collected on one of my favorite beaches: a very secluded beach called Lonely Bay on the Coromandel peninsula in New Zealand.

The Spiral Shell is called an operculum and is basically the safety hatch; attached to the foot of a mollusk and it is pulled in like a trap door so that no soft tissue is exposed to predators. The spiral is also a universal symbol for life and spiritual journey. I pair this symbol with the the feminine shape, the heart and the wave - representing the sea- our source.

Two looks in one necklace! This pendant changes sides with the movement of the wearer.

This two sided pendant hangs from an 18 inch doubled leather cord with a silver clasp. The pendant itself measures 1 and 1/8 inches wide by 2 inches and pivots on a 3/8 inch swivel bail. Plain and patterned silver spirals are artfully arranged on one side while in the middle is a copper branch of leaves viewable in it's entirety on the reverse side where a suggestion of a mountain top sits in the corner. The pendant has been given a patina which gives the copper a warm brown color and brings out the pattern in the etched silver.

This cheerful pineapple, a symbol of hospitality and success-as in abundance-hangs from an 18 inch sterling snake chain. The pendant measures 3/4 " by 2" and features an oval Mexican jelly opal. 3 layers of silver are soldered together giving depth to the piece that is further brought out with a patina which darkens the recesses.
