A 10" (25.5cm) square wooden mirror rescued from the local thrift store breathes new life after being creatively transformed into a work of art! It's been painted in a matte black finish on both front and back, and adorned with a multicolor glass beaded hanging wire (affixed by sturdy eye screws on the backside). The mirrored area itself measures 3 3/4" (9.5 cm) square, and the hanging wire is roughly 12" (30cm). My favorite part (okay, well, I'm quite fond of the colorful glass beads on the hanging wire, but I digress...) is the blue cabochons affixed in whimsical swirls across the front. It brings a whole new connotation to black and blue in the mirror! (Nobody's ever gonna call me Grace though...)

Why pretend. They're silly and usually not worth our time. Perfect for anyone with good sense; especially those we never told "I told you so". Anyway, this spunky gem measures 20" long. A duo of large (3/4") crystal clear faceted glass balls flank the truthful pendant (handmade of shrink plastic) on either side. The majority of this piece is comprised of black seed beads, interspersed with frosted glass bowtie shaped beads, textured silver balls, and 1/2" faceted plastic beads in a saucy raspberry color. My first attempt at steampunk (or thereabouts...), though I know it will not be my last! Totally unique, whimsical, and spirited. A silver swallow supports an intricate balance on fine gunmetal chain, from which hangs a vintage metal gimballed compass, clock components, a vintage button, and faux pearls-- all atop a secondary length of gunmetal chain. The result? A fascinating marriage of beauty and balance!

The bird and pendant hangs from two 9" lengths of silver chain, via two very striking merlot colored genuine freshwater pearl sticks.

This necklace measures approximately 24 inches in length (60.5 centimeters); the pendant hangs 6 1/2 inches in addition (16 centimeters).

What better to send to that special someone when they need it most?!? Autumn is here, and though it's my MOST favorite season of all, it brings with it all sorts of maladies as the season progresses. And before you know it, winter is here, and well, we all know what that means. I have no specific idea of how old this card is, but suffice it to say, it's an antique. I did some research online to try and narrow this down some, and the best I can surmise is that it is likely from the 1930s. Very playful and feminine in nature, it features two gray kittens playing with a ball of pink yarn. Three dimensional flowers adorn the corners of the focal area. It's in EXTREMELY good condition-- the only flaw (aside from age) that I can see is that one of the kitten's right ear is slightly bent; it was designed to stand up a bit from the rest of the card and has been smooshed some over time. No tears or other damage at all. And obviously, no writing-- it's still pristinely unused inside. The front cover is of a vellum-like paper- you can see through to the inside of the card, where more flowers are. A lovely pink border resembling loop stitching flocks the scalloped outside perimeter, matching the 'for you' upon the front. The inside reads:

Get Well Wishes are being made
Each hour the whole day through,
And they're all very special ones
Because they're meant FOR YOU!

The original envelope is missing; I've included a new one it will fit into. Enjoy! This is a real treasure!

This lariat style necklace is one of my longer pieces, measuring 20" (51 cm.) in length. The smouldering brick colored genuine freshwater pearl sticks in this necklace are very dramatic, set off by the claret red colored seed beads and faceted frosted glass red drops. Hanging from the center is a pendant comprised of frosted amber colored tumbled glass and genuine swarovsky crystals dangling from a 1 3/4" length of silver chain, wrapped in fine red copper wire. Shimmery ivory colored seed beads through the remainder of the piece allow the dramatic reds to shine through. It's all strung on durable nylon coated jewelry wire and fastens with a silver tone barrel clasp. Work it!

"Chocolate" flowers are all the rage-- way beyond my own obsession! In gardening, the term chocolate is used to describe any plant whose flower or foliage color is brown in tone, OR-- perhaps even SMELLS like chocolate! There really ARE some flowers that smell like chocolate; unfortunately, many of them are sterile (meaning they must be reproduced by cuttings, because they don't produce seeds). Some of my favorite blooms are rich tones of espresso, walnut, toffee, and caramel! Seeds included in this breathtaking collection include rhodochiton, geranium phaeum, nicotiana 'hot chocolate', viola 'angel amber kiss', salpiglossis 'chocolate royale', cerinthe retorta, and chocolate scabiosa. Add a touch of nostalgia to your living space! I incorporated a soft-as-a-tshirt cotton knit seed sack into a lovely square throw pillow. Super squishy and comfy! The chocolate brown screenprinted image is of two California poppies on creamy ivory cotton knit. I hand stitched a double blanket stitch in vibrant orange cotton thread across the top seam. I also embellished the top edge with gorgeously fascinating vintage wooden shank buttons for added nostalgic effect. My favorite parts are the cheerful french knots I stitched upon the center of the flowers, in the same cheerful orange thread used on the top seam's blanket stitch.

Okay, so my family eats a lot of rice. (A few other people in the world do too). Made from a 10 pound bag of rice, this permanent shopping bag is roomy and strong. It's really colorful, too, and I'm always in awe of the beauty of eastern languages in print (this one is Chinese). The sewn in handles are white woven nylon and measure 6"long by 1".

I gussied it up a bit, too, with some colorful faux flowers in shades of aqua and red, affixed with durable metal brads and eyelets.

Bag measurments are 12" across by 16" long (30x40cm). And I figure, if it can hold 10 pounds of rice, it can hold your farmer's market run, right?

All of my light switch plates and electrical outlet covers are sealed with 4 (or more) layers of matte finish sealant, and are more than capable of surviving typical use. You prolly don't wanna take a bath with them though. Just saying.

Lovely! Practical and comfy enough to be worn every day, but beautiful and sparkly enough to be worn on a night out! I especially like the shorter length: 16 1/2 inches (41.5 cm). Gorgeous crimson glass beads comprise the lengthb of this piece, with lovely silver and swarovski medallions flanking the central pendant. The pendant itself is a tinted photgraph I personally took, of a Buddha face. It is baked on plastic and very durable.

This unique, one of a kind necklace will have everyone looking twice (or perhaps running away quickly, but isn't sometimes the latter the better option anyway?). Measuring 19", this necklace is part silver chain, part beaded nylon-coated jewelry wire, and fastens with a silver tone barrel clasp. A copper wire wrapped plastic skeleton leg and foot is adorned with delicate silver jingle bells. The pendant hangs from a 3/4" silver ring and is flanked on either side by silver vintage/antique style keys. The beaded portion of the necklace (black seed beads, graduated peacock faux pearls flanked by burgundy seed beads) begins just below where your ears are-- as if you appear to be wearing two different necklaces depending on the view. Back half: all business, front half: all play. (I promise to include no other mullet references) Total dangle length of the pendant is just over 3". If goth really isn't your thing, it would still be perfect for halloween, but if you're like me, it's a sweet everyday treasure to wear and behold.
