A lovely vintage brass oak leaf, soldered to a 3mm wide brushed sterling silver cuff. The entire cuff is formed and tumbled for several hours to add strength. The leaf is then etched (non-toxic!) to a lovely matte finish, and lightly sanded here & there for a bit of shine. A matte fixative is applied to help prolong the finish. A care card is included with this bracelet, so you can learn how to keep the matte finish if you wish. Otherwise, a warm patina will form over time, with a little love from a polishing cloth now and then.

Leaf measures approx. 5.5 cm long. Bracelet shown in small (6"). Please specify size during checkout. If no size is given, a medium will be sent by default.

These pre-treated 2 inch squares are great for polishing or removing oxidation/tarnish from your metal jewelry quickly and easily. They are made of tight-bond cellular foam, and permanently bonded micro-abrasives.

You can use these pads until they're almost black on both sides, and then it's time to toss & reach for a new one. Since these are not recyclable, I continue to use them long after they've turned black to remove heavy tarnish. Truth be told, I've been using the same pads for almost 6 months now! Though they may not work as great as newer pads, they still do the job quite well! A real workhorse of a polishing pad.

Make sure the piece you are polishing is completely dry. If you get these pads wet, they get gooey and can create a real mess. Yuck!

These pads are much safer to use than commercial "dips", which can alter the patina if you aren't careful, and will definitely ruin some softer stones and pearls.

Pieces with stones, pearls, etc.
Chain (be gentle with sterling or fine silver, as these metals are fairly soft)

Very limited, only a small handful to be made (about 4 or 5 pairs!).

Another variation of our "Longstem" earrings, this time featuring lovely vintage blue enameled flowers.

None of the blue flowers are exactly alike. Some have very little purple at the center, and some have a lot more, but they are all simply gorgeous! They are extremely limited, and I'm not sure that I'll be able to find more, so if you love these too, get while the getting is good (and available!)

They spin freely on the earring, which is made of sterling silver with teeny brass flowers soldered securely to them. Lightweight, comfortable, fun and graceful.

I have only a small lot of these thick & lovely, intricate vintage brass butterflies, in 2 sizes. This is the smaller of the two, soldered to a handmade (by me!) 3mm sterling silver ring band. The band is slightly beveled for comfort, and given a soft satin finish. The butterfly is oxidized, sanded to bring out the detail, and then varnished. Look for the cuff featuring the larger butterfly!

Ring shown in a size 5.5 US. Butterfly has a wingspan of approx. 3.75cm. Please let me know your ring size during checkout. These butterflies have a bit of weight to them, so I suggest these be worn snug.

They're back, and just in time for the holidays...

A stunning lobated leaf of vintage brass joined with sterling silver to make a gorgeous wrist-wrap cuff. The leaf has gorgeous details, and is left with a somewhat matte finish. The sterling wrap is lightly sanded, and flexible enough to bend slightly to fit your wrist. Don't bend it too much or too often, or it will break!

Leaf measures approx. 6.5cm x 4cm, and the cuff will fit up to an 8" wrist.

Silver Nouveau Earrings - Vintage Brass and Sterling Silver - Made to Order

These spectacularly detailed vintage nouveau brass pieces have to first polish to a high shine before anything else. They are then heavily silver plated (by me!) with a light polishing between each layer, then drilled and hung from heat-formed elongated sterling silver ear wires. Lastly, they are buffed with micro-crystalline wax to slow tarnishing, but can also be varnished upon request (longer-lasting protection).

I don't know when they were made, but was told that they were found in a storage room in an old factory 20-some odd years ago (and they were old then) and just sat in a box along with glass marbles and junk since then. Unfortunately I have a limited (and ever dwindling) supply of these gorgeous pieces, and will not be able to get more when I run out.

Measure approx. 2" (5.08 cm) from the top of the ear wire.

Please look at all 3 pictures in order to get an idea of just how wonderfully detailed these are...

Look for the cuff bracelet as well, which can be plated for a small added charge, as well as the original Nouveau earrings in this shop!

A gorgeous little forget-me-not blossom, hand cast from the real thing by the talented Stratussilver, and turned into a simple, everyday ring by me. I solder, file, and tumble the ring band for several hours to add strength and an unbelievable shine. The flower is then carefully & securely soldered to the band, and left with a beautiful satin-white finish...a lovely contrast to the shiny band. The flower or entire ring can also be oxidized or tumble-shined upon request.(The third picture shows what the color would look like if oxidized).

Looks GREAT stacked with other rings...

Teeny Hoops - Vintage Solid Yellow Brass Copper and Steel Hoop Earrings - READY TO SHIP

These hoops were a great find! They are solid brass hinged hoops, with copper rivet and catch, and steel posts. They are oxidized, then given a soft satin finish and waxed to prevent them from tarnishing quickly. Easy upkeep using fine sandpaper or steel wool, or you can let them do their thing. I am unsure if the posts contain nickel, but I have been wearing my pair for almost a week now with no reactions. I wouldn't, however, recommend these earrings for those with severe sensitivities. These have a slight heft to them, but are by no means heavy enough to pull on the earlobe. Very comfortable.

Prefer these BRIGHT, or oxidized? Just ask!

The backs of the brass pieces are not polished so as to show their age. I don't know when they were made, but was told that they were found in a storage room in an old factory 20-some odd years ago (and were old then) and just sat in a box along with glass marbles and junk since then. They have been securely soldered, then tumbled for several hours to ad strength. Finally, just the butterflies are oxidized, then sanded and polished to really bring out the detail and add drama. The butterflies can be varnished to help slow them from oxidizing further, (request this upon checkout) or you can let the metal do what it wants. I would suggest giving them a good rub with a polishing cloth now and then if you decide to go without varnish. This will only add to their beauty over time..

These have been soldered, filed, and left with a layer of fine white silver on the surface for the 14k gold accent to better adhere. They can be tumbled for shine, but this will not make the gold stand out as much. Another option: oxidation! Sterling backs included.

Simple, modern & elegant. Curved vintage brass is lightly sanded to let the bright brass underneath shine through. It is then hung from vintage brass chain, and given my own handmade wire-wrapped brass hook & eye clasp. Everything is buffed with museum wax to help preserve the finish, but as with all brass, this will tarnish with time and regular wear.

Necklace measures approx. 16" from end to end.

Care is simple: use a polishing cloth for the chain if you wish, and very fine sandpaper for the focal. (Dad, Grandpa, or BF should have some knocking around in the garage, or you can find it easily at the hardware store! Ask for 320 or 420 grit 3M -- the gray sheets.) Just give it a few light rubs every now and then, and you're good to go! I recommend Renaissance Micro-crystalline Wax for all of my brass pieces, as well. A little goes a long way, and it has plenty of other uses!

Hand cut brass lily pads rest at a slight angle on the earlobe, & are slightly concave. They are given several layers of verdigris patina, with some of the yellow brass peeking through here & there. Sadly, our supply of the lovely vintage charms for the original version of these earrings has been depleted and are no more. The good news is, that we found something very similar, and can now offer them at a much lower price.

These small brass medallions resemble the symbol for the number 1 in the Aztec language of Nahuatl, which is basically a dot within a circle.

Here the charms are paired simply with my own matte finish sterling silver ear wires & dangling silver droplet. Lightweight & gorgeous.

These can also be made with different finishes on the sterling: bright silver, oxidized silver, brushed... If you have a favorite finish, just ask! If you wish rubber stoppers to be included, again, just ask!

The Philodendron - Yellow Brass Wrist Wrap - Made to Order

Imagine this gorgeous brass bracelet curled around your wrist! It can be worn a couple different ways, as seen in the photos, depending on the way you put it on. Another "look" not shown in the photos is to wear the leaf far down on the wrist so that the leaf sits on the back of your hand. Very flattering and graceful. It is quite comfortable, lightweight, and pliable enough for you to bend it slightly if you want to, also. But not too much or too often, or it will break!

A hand-cut yellow brass leaf is soldered securely to a length of raw yellow brass, which is formed, hammered, and curled at the end. The leaf is then soaked in a warm natural "pickle" to remove fire scale caused by the flame. The leaf and "vine" are then filed & sanded smooth & bright, and the leaf is oxidized black. The leaf is then sanded again to add contrast, highlighting the raised parts and leaving the recesses dark. Please note: yellow brass can resemble gold at times. If you wish less of a gold tone, this can be made using red brass, which will produce a more coppery/bronze tone. Another option at this price is copper. Please convo me for pricing if you wish this made in sterling silver or pure gold.

Bracelet measures 8.5" and is adjustable for smaller wrists by gentle bending.

**Pictured is the original cuff, made with a vintage commercially made brass leaf. This is not for sale, but I can duplicate the leaf quite well, however, it *will* look different due to the fact that my leaves are hand-cut from NEW stock. I have made a few of these Philodendron leaves now, and though I adored the original vintage brass leaf, I am actually more fond of my own because they look more organic. Color and tone of my leaves may not be as "dramatic" as that shown in the picture, but I do my best to make it as beautiful as I possibly can. Time and a bit of love (a rub now and then with a polishing cloth) will only enhance it's features and color.

They are very old brass (definitely vintage, quite possibly antique) affixed to sterling silver posts (sterling backs included). They are oxidized, sanded, and tumbled for added strength & shine, then painted with a few layers of green verdigris, and finally sealed with a varnish. Verdigris patina rests in the crevices of these gorgeous vintage brass leaves, and for some reason, reminds me of the lush foliage found in the Grand Etang rainforest on the island of Grenada. They swing freely from handmade matte sterling hooks.

Here is a funky brass plated cuff, most likely from the 90's, with cut-out shapes....a triangle, circle, square, zig zag. Lovely gold tone, and nice weight as well.

Approx. 3" wide, will fit most wrists.

Has some scratches and worn areas on the underside, seen in the second photo. Age unknown, but more than likely I have not altered it in any way.

Iron and Gold - Post Hoops - Medium - Made to Order

For these hoops, I wrap several feet of 14k gold-filled wire around forged iron hoops in a chaotic manner. Sterling silver posts are soldered on to one end of the iron, with the other end hammered flat. The iron hoops are also slightly scratch finished, and finally polished to let some of the bright metal shine through. The gold wire ends are woven and tucked deep into the tangles to prevent them from coming apart. Surprisingly lightweight considering the amount & type of metal used.

Measures approx. 1.65" (4.191 cm) in diameter.

A marked difference in the "Bitty Oak Leaves" earrings, these are BIG and BOLD. Vintage brass oak leaves with elongated sterling ear hooks (posts w/ strong rubber backs upon request) are given a lovely shiny finish after being tumbled for hours to add strength. Please note that the pair shown in this listing has bits of copper in the recesses. This is called "depletion", and happens when the brass is heated, bringing the copper in the metal to the surface. I have sanded the copper layer off of the high points, which adds contrast.

Petite Papillon Butterfly Ring - Brass and Sterling Silver - Made to Order

A smaller, flatter version of the "Mariposa Cocktail Ring" seen in the Oct./Nov. issue of BUST magazine, this time featuring a 1/2" wide brass butterfly which has been soldered at a slight angle (please see photos) to a 2mm wide handmade from scratch (by me!) sterling silver band. The butterfly is then oxidized black, and carefully sanded & polished to bring out the detail, making sure that each nook is covered in black, and each raised vein is bright brass. The entire ring is tumbled for several hours to add strength and shine, and the butterfly is finally varnished with several layers to help preserve the finish and protect your finger. Very feminine and sweet. Look for another original, the matching cuff also found in this shop!

This is an imperfect, yet still very pretty ring... It features a 10mm square rose quartz stone set in a handmade window bezel to let the light shine through. 5 handmade silver granules flank either side of the stone to add interest and texture. The entire ring has been oxidized and sanded to bring out the details. This ring is the result of a mistake because the stone was too small for the bezel (oops! I set the wrong stone!). The bezel slants a bit less than the pictures show because I managed to straighten it out a bit after the photos were taken. The bezel does have puckering at the corners and a small tear, but the stone seems quite secure. I cannot guarantee that it will not eventually fall out however, which is the reason for the reduction in price.

A thick, solid length of sterling silver with two "anthurium" flowers on either end. They have been securely soldered* to the silver, then the bracelet is formed, oxidized, sanded and tumbled to add strength & shine. The brass is then buffed with a micro-crystalline wax to help preserve the finish. Like the ring, this is not really intended for daily wear, but if you wear it on not-so-special occasions, promise me you won't play volleyball or anything while wearing it. I'm wearing the original, and actually slept in it last night without any discomfort, though...so it's up to you!

A dainty 7mm vintage style brass flower is soldered to a 2mm sterling silver band, with a dollop of molten sterling in the center. It is then formed, filed, sanded, and finally tumbled for several hours to add strength and shine.

The Leaf Ring:
A lovely antique brass leaf is soldered to a 2mm sterling band, formed, filed, sanded, and finally tumbled for several hours to add strength and shine.

Both rings can be varnished upon request, however, the brass will achieve a nice warm patina over time if polished lightly with a cloth, and this is my intention with most of my work.

Limited Edition. I'm not sure how much longer these will be around, but once they're gone, they're gone!!

Measuring a mere 8mm (a little less than 1cm) from tip to stem, these little wonders make perfectly petite studs. They are very old brass (definitely vintage, possibly antique) affixed to sterling silver posts (sterling backs included). They are then oxidized, sanded and tumbled for added strength & shine, and sealed with a varnish to protect not only the finish, but your ears as well. Great for multiple piercings.

Sweet little forget me not blossoms, hand cast from the real thing by the talented Stratussilver, and turned into simple, everyday studs by me. 100% sterling silver. They are soldered, filed, oxidized and tumbled for several hours to add strength and and finally oxidized and lightly sanded to bring out the highlights.

Look for the bright pair, as well as matching ring in this shop!

Forget-me-nots measure approx. 8mm, and come with sterling silver butterfly backs. Each flower will vary ever so slightly--just like in nature!

Upon purchase, please provide us with the following in the ETSY "notes to seller":

*Email address of intended recipient

*First and last name of recipient

*Gift message/Greeting (optional)

The recipient will be contacted within 24 hours via the email address you provide with: the certificate in jpg format with a serial number for redemption, and detailed instructions on how to use it. You will also be sent a copy of the email to confirm that the certificate has been sent. Recipient must send a convo/message via Etsy with the items they want.

Certificates CAN be combined with other gift certificates, but cannot be combined with coupons or any other offers. Due to the fluctuation in precious metal costs, we have to implement a 6 month expiration date on all gift certificates.

Gift certificates are to be used towards purchases and shipping only, not custom orders. Certificates are redeemable only here at our Etsy shop.

All shop policies apply to all purchases.

Certificates are nonrefundable, and are not redeemable for cash.

A Little Twisted - Sterling Silver Stacking Rings - Shiny or Oxidized - Set of 3 - Made to Order

I have so many tools in my workspace, many of which I have yet to use... Two of those tools are my vice, and my rolling mill, both of which I recently started to play with. (yay!) These rings are the result of an attempt at making my own filigree wire, which was too thick for the fine silver "threads" used in filigree, so I decided to use the wire for rings instead.

You will receive 3 rings. Please indicate your desired finish (oxidized/shiny--you can also mix it up if you wish!) and let me know your size upon checkout to prevent delays. Rings shown: 2 oxidized & sanded, with the middle oxidized and left a lovely charcoal black). If I have not received a size from you after 5 days and attempts at contact (via Etsy and email) a SIZE 7 WILL BE SENT BY DEFAULT. Thank you for helping us keep to our schedule.

My Favorite Ring Trio - Flashy Dollop and Enoki - Labradorite White Fresh water Pearl 14k Gold and Sterling Silver - Made to Order

For quite some time, I have been wearing this trio on my pointer finger. The "Flashy" ring is a bit big on me, as is the "Enoki", and this is somewhat evident in the last photo...but your set will fit you better! These were all first-offs, not really intended for myself. I have gotten requests (in person) for this set, so I am now going to offer it here as well.

Trio of rings include:

1 "Flashy" ring - sterling silver and marquis/teardrop shaped smooth labradorite, set in a handmade (by me!) bezel of sterling silver.

1 "Dollop" ring - sterling silver with a white freshwater pearl set in a handmade bezel & a single dollop of 14k gold.

1 "Enoki" ring - sterling silver with balled ends, reminiscent of the wonderful enoki mushroom.

Golden Lotus Set - Vintage Brass and Sterling Silver Post Earrings and Cocktail Ring - VERY Limited Edition - Made to Order

One pair of Golden Lotus post earrings, and one cocktail ring in the size you specify. Please be sure of size prior to checkout!

Earrings:
Sweet little vintage brass lotus blossoms are affixed to handmade sterling silver posts, and given a lovely matte finish. Includes sterling silver backs.

Measures approx. 1cm from the top.

Ring:
A sweet little vintage brass lotus blossom is affixed to a 2mm handmade sterling silver band, with a small sterling silver ball in the center. It is tumbled for several hours after forming, and then the flower is given a lovely matte finish. The band can be given a satin/brushed finish, as shown in the photos, oxidized, oxidized & sanded or shiny, and the lotus itself can be given a matte finish, oxidized (dark), verdigris green or shiny. Please let me know your preferences & ring size upon checkout. If no preferences as to band/flower finish are given, a matte flower and satin brushed band will be sent by default. Please note that this flower has somewhat sharp points, therefore should be worn with care. If asked, I certainly wouldn't mind grinding them down a bit, however, this will give the flowers a slightly look different.

The lotus will NOT be sent varnished unless requested. This will create a slight sheen.

Lotus blossom measures approx. 1cm.
