These are very elegant, perfect with that perfect t-shirt or little black dress!

Hangs 2.5" with French hook earring findings.

Ships USPS 1st class mail.

E171

BORN IN 1899, AT THE HEIGHT OF THE ART NOUVEAU VANGUARD,
she was one of four children, and the daughter of small-town merchants in Albany, Indiana. Some 30 years later, Miriam Haskell would have tea with Coco Chanel while selecting the upcoming season’s beads at Madame Gripoix’s- the finest source in Paris. While Miriam would bring her young design artist, Frank Hess, Chanel was alone. They would talk. Share ideas. Trade fashion celeb secrets. They were among a new class: independent women who began their careers designing jewelry to complement high fashion clothing in an exclusive boutique.

MIRIAM HASKELL OPENED HER FIRST BOUTIQUE IN 1926, “LE BIJOU DE L’HEURE” IN NEW YORK”S McALPIN HOTEL. She created collections for the society women of her day, the lavish productions of Flo Ziegfeld, as well as the couture of Coco Chanel. Joan Crawford, Lucille Ball, the Dutchess of Windsor, to name a few, were among her greatest patrons. It wasn’t long before her spectacular, custom-made jewels were sought after, collected and cherished. If history is any indication of the value of a Miriam Haskell piece, today’s collection promises continued appreciation- be it at an auction house, by chic women throughout the world or simply by generations to come.

Lucite is the trade name for the chemical methyl methacrylate which was discovered by the DuPont Company in 1931. During WWII it was used for making windshields and various components on fighter planes, then in the late 1940's through the 1950's it was used for cmbs and numerous jewelry pieces.

This Lucite button is rectangular with scalloped inset edges. Some of them are sparkly, or solid, some have bright colors and they come in different shapes and sizes and are highly collectable.

I've incorporated this vintage Lucky Strike silver and copper metal fishing lure with the trilliant cut glass and silver foil beads. And for that extra touch of whimsy, I added the silver tone metal fish charm and a grey, ,1940's vintage Japanese glass tear-drop shaped pearl. This is an exquisite piece and a true one of a kind!

The Lucky Strike fishing lure is silver tone on one side and copper on the other, but the silver tone is what makes the focal point of the necklace. Complimented by the trilliant glass beads and silver tone chain for extra support, this is a WOW statement piece!

Length: 19.5"
Overall hanging length: 26"

I have a stretch bracelet and earrings to match. I don't usually do stretch bracelets, but I didn't want anything to detract from the beautiful glass beads. Two large trilliant cut glass beads are the focal point of these earrings. The beads are 1" x 1" and swing independently of each other to catch the light for extra sparkle. A 1940's vintage Japanese glass tear-drop shaped pearl dangles at the end of each earring. Truly elegant!

Because these are glass, they are delicate.
A Little Bit of Everything CD

$14.99
The album is called "A Little Bit of Everything", titled that because it has well...a little bit of everything all piled into one cd. The majority of it is Christian based as I've been called to write these songs and help spread the Word. There are 3 songs that are instrumental with background vocals and 4 songs that are a bit carnal in nature. The very last song: "It Is What It Is" really happened to me this past year, so I hope it brings a laugh or two, seeing how I can laugh about it...now.

You can listen to 5 of the songs if you visit my profile page at http://www.myspace.com/juliepici.

USPS priority mail shipping is Free! All proceeds go to our adoption fund with hopes of starting a family in 2009.

"A Little Bit of Everything" $14.99 each
1). I'm Free
2). U R
3). Jennifer's Song (For my sister)
4). Here I Am
5). The King Is Come
6). My Life Is So Much Better (B'cuz You're In It) (For my mother)
7). Simply Miracle
8). I'm Home (For my friends fighting in the Middle East)
9). My Heart is Beating For You
10). I'll Wait
11). I Will Remember You (In memory of my friend Mike McCormick)
12). Sunrise (Instrumental)
13). Beauty In Bloom (Instrumental)
14). Majestic (Instrumental)
15). Might As Well (Go To Hell)
16). I'm Gonna' Make My Own Way
17). Summer Love
18). It Is What It Is (A true story by the way)

A little about me: I am an equity actress who gets severe stagefright when singing songs in front of people. Go figure...So, I spend most of my time with the computer and my music software, writing Christain based songs with hopes to spreading The Word. My most memorable performances I did was "Cinderella's Surprise Celebration" at Walt Disney World/Orlando. Cinderella is my favorite of all fairytales and my dream came true performing as her, on stage, in front of the castle, with non-other than Mickey Mouse and the gang. Other theatrical productions include, "Annie Oakley", "Bye Bye Birdie", "Man of LaMancha", "Story Time With Belle", "Disney's Share A Dream Come True" Parade, "Disney's SpectroMagic" Parade, "The Miracle Worker", "The Long Christmas Dinner" and I have several student film credits and one independent film credit. I hope to do more soon. My song "I'm Home" is currently in negotiations to be included in a compilation CD of Christian songwriters/singers.

Review by Josh Stratton:
To say that Julie is talented is like saying that water is wet. Or that the Great Wall may be China’s way of overcompensating for something. Or that Bill Gates got beat up every day until he was in his 20’s. It’s a given….

No, Jules is one of those very rare individuals that can only make the rest of us look bad. Her stats are impressive: Actress, photographer, painter, dancer, writer, princess, professional mover (and shaker), and master jewelry maker. And that was just last week!

However, it’s her music I’d like to take a little time to talk about right now.

During the past 12 months - in-between the 83 moves from Texas to all 7 continents and 4 or 5 coasts along the way - Julie decided to use her powers for good and make the world just a little bit brighter because of it. She took a sampling of all her life experiences and poured them into a little CD titled: A Little Bit of Everything. And it’s one of the best I’ve heard in a while.

The album starts off strong with several praise songs, including “I’m Free”, an energetic number complete with electric guitar and a great chorus. Did I mention that Julie recorded all the vocals and composed all the instruments herself? This leads right into “U.R.”, a fun little song with a steady beat and a great message. “Jennifer’s Song” is perfect when you’re reminded that all of God’s people don’t always have all the answers. “The King Is Come” is a wonderful telling of the Good News in just under 6 minutes.

A couple of my favorites include “My Life Is So Much Better”, a song dedicated to her Mom, and “My Heart Is Beating For You”, an up-tempo number with a beat that stays with you. Seriously, I find myself humming it while I’m stuck in client meetings. Another favorite has to be “It Is What It Is”, a humorous accounting of her unwanted relocation to a colder climate. And while I’m pretty sure “Might As Well” wasn’t written about me, there’s always a chance it was.

The two most powerful tracks are “I’m Home”, written for several friends fighting in the Middle East, and “I’ll Remember You”, a haunting performance dedicated to the memory of a close friend. These 2 songs alone are worth the purchase price.

All in all, there are 18 tracks for you to listen to and fall in love with. Please order a copy
for you and a few more to give as gifts. And it’s all for a good cause. Not that you should need any other incentive to purchase this fantastic album produced by an amazing talent. But, after 12 years of married bliss, there’s still one area that Julie hasn’t mastered: Motherhood. She and Ralph are trying to raise funds to help the growing costs of adoption. Trust me, you’ll never meet more deserving people.

If you’re able to contribute, please do. Every “little bit” helps…
If my songs can inspire and encourage people to reflect in their faith - if they can help others in any way - if just one song can bring a smile to someone's day, then I will be fulfilled. That is why I do this. To know that I can be a part of a greater mission completely blows me away. I thank God for this opportunity." - Julie Pici 2009
