I love vintage Lucite which was a popular material in the 1940's. Lucite is the trade name for the chemical methyl methacrylate which was discovered by the DuPont Company in 1931. During WWII it was used for making windshields and various components on fighter planes, then in the late 1940's through the 1950's it was used for cmbs and numerous jewelry pieces.

This Lucite button is rectangular with scalloped inset edges. I call it the "ice cube" because it looks like a rectangular ice cube - and is just a fantastic piece.

Yes, it's a fishing lure...I fell in love with fishing lures because of their modern shape. Some of them are sparkly, or solid, some have bright colors and they come in different shapes and sizes and are highly collectable.

I've incorporated this vintage Lucky Strike silver and copper metal fishing lure with the trilliant cut glass and silver foil beads. And for that extra touch of whimsy, I added the silver tone metal fish charm and a grey, ,1940's vintage Japanese glass tear-drop shaped pearl. This is an exquisite piece and a true one of a kind!

The Lucky Strike fishing lure is silver tone on one side and copper on the other, but the silver tone is what makes the focal point of the necklace. Complimented by the trilliant glass beads and silver tone chain for extra support, this is a WOW statement piece!

These are gorgeous and elegant with a splash of modernism. Two large trilliant cut glass beads are the focal point of these earrings. The beads are 1" x 1" and swing independently of each other to catch the light for extra sparkle. A 1940's vintage Japanese glass tear-drop shaped pearl dangles at the end of each earring. Truly elegant!

Because these are glass, they are delicate. There are some wear on a a couple of the beads, but do not detract from the elegance.
