this is the kind of piece that i love making-- it's sculptural, dramatic, modern and strongly feminine ... the necklace sits beautifully on the collarbones-- like a cloud of orbiting lines of open work black modern lace dotted with fresh water pearls.

each and every piece of sterling silver has been hand forged and then soldered to create open circular lines that orbit around one another. the irregularity of the lines are meant to emulate the expressive nature of drawn lines with variations of thin and thick, fast and slow. -- contrasting petite lustrous white pearls perch on the lines--resting and moving as the wearer does, adding marvelous glow and detail. the blackened sterling looks dramatic against skin revealing the forms as the necklace dances on the neck.

three tiny cups sit perched on a hammered sterling band-- the band is left with hammer marks and irregularities inspired by nature, especially twigs and branches. the cups are made of sterling and fine silver. the central cup has a layer of fused 23kt gold leaf added for warmth and contrast-- a method called keum boo, the cups on either side are left very light in the center-- each are burnished on the edges.

a light and feminine piece, elegant but with a touch of the rustic. this ring also looks great with the ring stack set or bangles available in my shop.

a set of 5 sterling silver hand wrought bangles. each bangle is hand forged and left with hammer marks and irregularities inspired by those that occur in nature, especially twigs and branches.

the silver is left very light in color and the bangles glow against the skin with fabulous bits of hammered disks, cups and stones scattered around on 3 of the bands, the other two bangles are left plain. each of the small hammered disks are given a layer of fused 23kt gold -- a process called keum boo. this group of bands has a sweet citrine stone and a light silver tiny cup. light and comfortable to wear. modern, earthy and organic.

this group of bangles in stock measures 2.5" -- more of a medium to small size. i will be offering these in larger sizes as well, and can make sets to order. keep in mind that each set will vary to some degree --that is the nature of hand made.

i guess i'm just in the mood for the nonsensical --the unnecessary kind of object that is made only to delight and tickle one's fancy. this ring fulfills that part of me that just loves objects for what they are.... like a ribbon-y pile of Marie Antoinette's hair, this sterling silver fretwork is stacked tall and ends in a tiny oxidized cup wherein lies a lovely warm & creamy white fresh water pearl. finished in a very brushed matte surface, with burnished edges for contrast.

here is another version of my larger flower earrings. this time the larger hand pierced and forged sterling flower has been left with a bright soft brushed finish on the interior, and a bright, shiny finish on the outside. each flower has a soft creamy white fresh water pearl nestled in its center. the stem is like a long post--it travels from front to back so that the flower sits at the lobe and the stem gently arcs under the ear--back toward the front.

graceful, elegant, contemporary and modern--these earrings look great day or night--wear them for play or dress up.

the flowers measure 5/8" and the stem is 2"

here is a recent one of a kind necklace in a mini series inspired by pods, twigs, leaves, seeds and flowers. a simple statement to honor autumn...

i always wish i had more time for crochet--occasionally i get a small something done and love to incorporate it into my metalwork. this little blackened fine silver wire crocheted flower dangles and dances alongside hand forged fine and sterling silver stacked pods. i love the lacy contrast to the organic pods.... one pod is oxidized black (12mm), the other bumpy pod (10mm) is fused with 23kt gold leaf for a warm earthy glow. the pods are open and move up and down and around on their stem. the flower measures 30mm.

modern, earthy and urban with a bit of feminine charm..

this is a simple lariat style necklace with a sterling silver chain--20". to wear, fold over the chain as though starting to tie a knot-- you can adjust the necklace as you like.

i just finished a few recent organic necklaces that are inspired by pods, twigs, leaves, seeds and flowers. a simple statement to honor autumn...

hand forged bumpy copper pods are finished with a blush of pale aqua and peach torch fired enamel- with a rustic appeal. tiny fine copper beads (or berries) circle the top half of the one of the pods, which measure approximately 10mm x10mm each . pods are open and stacked for movement on an oxidized sterling stem, and hang at the ends of an oxidized sterling silver chain.

please note that the photo shows one slightly smaller pod-- i'm now making the pods the same size so they both look like the larger of the pods..

to wear, simply fold one chain over the other as if you were going to tie a knot. pods dangle in a sweet little cluster. the necklace is a total of 21" long ( including pods on stems). adjust as you prefer.
