A fabulous jade green and brown glaze blankets this floral design box. With just a flare of Asian inspiration this box will look beautiful on the fireplace mantle or on a table. This box was designed and handmade by me using stoneware clay and fired to 2235 degrees in a kiln using 100% wind powered energy.

I have made no others like it.

Box top is 4-1/2in and flows to 6-1/4in at the base.(12cm x 16cm)

Ceramic Box - Celtic Knot

This beautiful one of a kind Celtic knot box is handmade by me with an iron rich glaze I developed to use with stoneware. The interior of this box is a beautiful as the exterior and a great vessel to hold your treasures in. While making this box and others (different designs) I have grown to appreciate the meaning of impermanence and attachment. Because of the movement in the clay during the kiln firing I have lost many pieces to breakage from the extreme tension the heat creates in the clay. So I don’t get attached to the long hours of labor spent on each of these and I learned that just around the corner will be another lesson in remembering what impermanence is all about. I continue to enjoy making boxes with an ever changing design motif happening in my head and hands daily.

I love using old tools when it comes to woodworking. I have been producing woodworking items over 15 years and still like to throw some dust around on occasion as well as my mud (pottery). This pen will take Cross refills when ready for such.

I made this one of a kind beautiful ikebana vase on my potter’s wheel using stoneware clay. This vase will look lovely anywhere in your home or workspace. Add a few flowers and this also makes a great gift. Removable metal pin frog 1-1/8in(3 cm) will hold your flowers in place. Stoneware clay hand thrown on a potter’s wheel with a jade green and medium brown tone glaze applied and fired in a kiln.
