Our 2010 wall calendar, STAND UP STRAIGHT, is almost more storybook than stationery item.

The watercolour illustrations look like they come from a children's book, but the themes are more grown up, such as ennui or getting the hots. Starting with a New Year's resolution — to stand up straight — we follow the six nameless characters through 12 months of letter writing, music mixes, childhood fears, old stereo equipment and perhaps a parallel universe.

The days of the year are told through the characters' new experiences, fantastical childhood memories, correspondences and personal record collections. Certain months are set up with an inventive format: For instance, August is a printer's tray displaying souvenirs, and the days of December read like the squares of a comic strip.

This year's calendar measures at 297 mm high x 230 mm wide, printed with vegetable-based inks on heavy matte 100% recycled paper. It is spiral bound and ready to hang. Our London-based printer is a co-operative organization that uses renewable energy.

With our card/disc sets, each card comes with a companion CD-R, so that one can send the greeting along with a music mix or other digital content.

The felt tip lettering MUSIC IS GOING TO MAKE EVERYTHING O.K. is a reprint of a note Jeremy quickly drew for Jamie one morning. Together, we splashed a bit of a water on the ink to make it's colours run a bit. Later, Jamie found each of the felt tips Jeremy used for the lettering, and with those colours created an elaborate abstract pattern for the companion disc.

We think this could be a cheer up card for somebody who's a bit down, or a long-distance correspondence for a much-missed friend.

The inside of the card is blank. The blank disc can hold 80 minutes of music (700 mb worth of storage). The card measures 120mm x 120mm. What is the Atherton Lin version of Season's Greetings? For this set of notecards, entitled TURN ON THE LIGHTS, we took inspiration from paper theatres and dioramas. Look for a red postbox and mysterious footprints, a fox in the snow, Christmas trees on cranes, a psychedelic lighthouse and a lost flock of geese.
