Worcester Cathedral has been described as Englands most interesting cathedral...founded in 680, it has been a place of prayer for over fourteen centuries and adorns the skyline of the City where it's CLOISTERS and SPIRES can be seen everywhere for miles...
My newest creation is my attempt to tell part of the story of this RICH and Historical city...the ANTIQUE door handle and antique SKELETON key reminded me of some of the beautiful architecture on this GLORIOUS cathedral...the ROYAL crown is representative of the many KINGS and QUEENS who have marked their place here...and King Johns tomb is housed in the CATHEDRAL...a very old CROSS also reminded me of WORCESTER CATHEDRAL....I also added a vintage glass button with a basket of flowers painted on it, which reminded me of the ROYAL WORCESTER PORCELAIN FACTORY, and a HARP Charm reminding me of the RICH MUSICAL Culture which has been a part of the history of Worcester...The RED glass beads are to honor the memory of all of the WW1 soldiers from Worcester who gave their lives...and for the British RED CROSS VAD nurses who volunteered to assist the WOUNDED soldiers...
The different symbols of charms are to reflect some of the various historical figures from different sects, from Medevial, Romans, Normans, Saxons, to name just a few...

Quanah Parker Necklace

My ancestor Quanah Parker, who was a half-breed American Indian... was the Great grandson of my GGGGG Grandfather,Elder John Parker, who was massacred at Fort Parker in Texas, the design on the handle reminded me of a totem pole so I named this necklace after him....
I took this "Indian style" vintage spoon and smoothed out the part I grinded down and drilled a hole into the end to make this lovely "American West" necklace...to that I added silver toned feathered leaves and a glass "tie-dyed" style bead to a long silver toned chain.

The chain measures @ 12 3/4 inches doubled and may be shortened upon request!
