This slate a rooftop graced
Now it floats around your neck
In pieces interlaced

This beautiful piece was made with a handpainted pieces of slate salvaged from an Irish rooftop. Overlays of colour give the slate multi tones of silvery taupe, purple, blue and green. All accented with pale green Czech Crystals. Measures 15&1/2" around neck with an additional 2" inch extension chain. To get an idea of scale, slate pieces avaerage 1&1/4" long.

The Bua Collection
The meaning of the Irish word bua is ‘victory, triumph, talent, virtue or special quality’. Coincidentally it is also my maiden name. Hence the perfect name for my collection. This collection has been influenced by my international travel, my new found love of Ireland, and my passion for handmade, knits, Irish tradition, landscape and culture.
