This small children's book is entitled "Nursery Rhymes" and is a Whitman book. Illustrated by Louise Altson.

Only about 14 pages.

The book measures 5 5/8 inches by 6 3/8 inches. Quite a bit of wear..a few pages are wrinkled and torn in the back of the book. But the illustrations are still bright and super cute!

Look at these great safety pins!!
The largest is about 5 inches and is marked "National". For tools? Or for a horse blanket? Its point is not very sharp.

The other 2 are just below 4 inches each. One has a tab marked "383" and has a patent date of Jan 21 02. Does that mean 1902? Would be way cool.

All three have light rust, with a lovely aged patina.

Round micromosaic pin with 2 flower blossoms in the center. One yellow and one red flower on a green background. This center circle is ringed with smaller circles which contain red and purple designs.

This was Grandma's, but we're not sure of the age. It measures about 1 1/4 inches across. No markings on the back, but it seems to be an older style locking bar mechanism.

Possibly a few teeny tiny chips missing..but you have to look closely to see where they might be.

Wear as is, or incorporate into a new, unique design!

Vintage Kodak Brownie Bull's-Eye Camera. Comes with neckstrap, the original box and instruction booklet.

From the late 1950s.

Uses Kodak 620 film. I don't have any, so I can't test it, but it appears to be in very good, clean condition. Not sure if it was ever used.

The box is in pretty rough shape.

Very simple suit and tie. Maybe he was a parson?

Stunning sterling silver ring with a large oval shaped pink agate stone.
I measured the inner diameter of the ring and it was approx 18mm which corresponds to a size 8 according to a chart I found. It seems right..my ring size is a 6-ish and this ring is too big! Darn. I love it.
The oval pink agate is large...just under an inch long and 9/16" wide.
Marked 'Sterling' on the inside of the ring. I think I can see a sterling maker's mark..but my magnifying glass isn't strong enough for me to make it out.

This lovely original illustration was culled from a 1945 Children's Encyclopedia that had suffered some water damage. This illustration spread is in very good condition however, with slight wrinkling or bubbling on the edges. Could use some flattening.
The illustration is unique and titled "The Space No Man Can Measure: Flying Twelve Million Years to the Nearest Star" The picture is black/dark blue and white and shows airplanes flying to planets. The number of years it would take the airplane to fly to each planet is printed.

Measures about 12 1/4 x 9 3/8 inches including the border. Perfect for framing. A great gift for your favorite amateur astronomer!

This super cute jigsaw puzzle depicts a little girl in a pink dress with a fawn. Over 70 pieces. 9 x 11 1/4 inches.

This puzzle is complete. HOWEVER, there is one piece towards the center that has the end ripped off, so it leaves a small hole. Being as creative as you are, I'm sure you can find a fix for this.
Or...use the pieces in your own artwork...
As inspiration...
The pieces are worn, definitely used by a little one in years past. The puzzle pieces are unique, some are traditional jigsaw shapes..others are not. There's an apple shaped piece, a bear shaped piece...

They are odd, in more than one sense, since they only show odd numbers. And X's or XX's. Maybe they are some kind of size markers.

From a long gold chain (about 15 inches-measured with a closed clasp and laying flat) dangles a large pearl in a teardrop shaped cage.

I remember my mom having a similar necklace by Avon. It was smaller and silver with a black pearl. I remember sitting on her lap and playing with that trapped pearl.

Two of these cook "booklets" have dates. One is 1935 and the other is 1936. These are the 2 Arm & Hammer and Cow Brand Baking Soda Kitchen Cook Books entitled "Good Things to Eat" by Martha Lee Anderson.
The third one (Child's Cook Book) doesn't have a date but may be from about the same era...or a bit later. :) It has very simple recipes and illustrations of cooking utensils.

The booklets are filled with great recipes and and helpful instructions. They have a lot of wear, but are still useable!

The page is nicely yellowed and features ink drawings of the human ear and various diagrams. The reverse side is a dictionary page which includes the entry for "Ear", detailing the different parts.

The front of this advertising calendar features a postcard of a woman and a horse titled "Pride of the Ranch".
The calendar folds out to reveal recipes, cooking tips, make-up tips and more!
The only months in here are April 1947 - September 1947. The other months must have been torn out. There are a few notations in the first few months...mostly when certain crops were planted.
7 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches. Almost square.

This beautiful yellowed dog-eared piece is entitled "To Mother". There is a colored illustration of an open window and flowers. Also a poem in calligraphy.
