This listing is for a custom 11x14 inch pen & ink drawing of a home or garden, by artist, Heather L. Young.

A custom pen & ink drawing of a home or garden makes for a very special gift. (think weddings, house-warming gifts, anniversary's and holidays) These images can capture the memory of a childhood home, or your current residence, and look great framed. They also make for a sophisticated note card, invitation, or letterhead.

Here's how the process works:

1. You submit the photos. The more you submit, the better! Send me close ups, far away shots, and different angles to work from.

2. I draw up a pencil sketch for your approval. This is your opportunity to make minor edits...like..."you forgot to include the weather-vane, or can you take out that tree?..."

3. Once I have your approval on the pencil sketch, I start the ink version.

The final product is an 11x14 inch drawing, that comes matted and ready to fit a 16x20 inch frame. Each print is drawn with archival ink, comes in a clear plastic sleeve, and is packaged with a pretty pin-wheel bow.

Oh yeah! Don't forget to convo me to find out how you can have your house printed on lovely note cards! Inexpensive 5x7 prints can also be made...(that way the whole family can have a print of Grandma's house) Just email/convo me for more information.

Most inks can be completed within 2 weeks of submission, however, if you're looking to have your special print expedited, please EMAIL/CONVO me PRIOR TO PURCHASING to make sure I have time to complete your order.

Lastly, while you are purchasing an original artwork, the © copyright remains that of Heather L. Young. You may not reproduce the image without permission.

"In 1837, Madison Square was laid out in honor or President James Madison. The bronze statue represents Sergeant William Jasper. Sergeant Jasper was memorialized for three acts of heroism during the American Revolution, and was mortally wounded in an attempt to rescue his regimental flag from a dying lieutenant."

"Forsyth Park, named for John Forsyth, was Savannah's first recreational park. The Confederate Monument was added to the park in 1879, and represents the thousands of soldiers who died for the lost cause of the Confederate States."

The Bonaventure Cemetery Fountain is part of my Savannah Fountain series. The print measures 8x10 inches and comes ready-to-frame in a black mat and clear plastic sleeve. Each print is printed with the finest archival inks and has the following historical information on the back:

"Placed here in 1878, the fountain stands in the Greenwich addition to Bonaventure Cemetery. William Roche of Roche Stone and Monument Company created it. The fountain was restored in 1967 by Harben Daniel in memory of Catherine Murrey Daniel, Catherine Daniel Long, Christopher Daniel Long, and Robert Brinker Long, Jr."

The Waving Girl, a memorial to Florence Margaret Martus, stands on the Historic River Front. For forty-four years, Ms. Martus waved to all the vessels going in and out of the Savannah harbor. The Waving Girl statue is the first memorial to a Georgia woman in any city park.

"The idea for Savannah's first recreational park was conceived by William Brown Hodgson in the 1840's. Forsyth Park is named for John Forsyth, former Governor of Georgia, Minister to Spain, and Secretary of State of the U.S. The fountain and radiating walkways were added to the park in 1854."

The Troup Square Armillary Sphere Print is part of my Savannah Monument series. The print measures 8x10 inches and comes ready to frame in a black mat and clear plastic sleeve. Each print is printed with the finest archival inks and has the following historical information on the back:

"Troup Square was named after George Michael Troup, a former Georgia governor. While the square was established in 1851, the Armillary Sphere was added in the 1970's. The Sphere, an astronomical model with solid rings, is said to work as a sundial."
