Long ago, one would see this vista from a rail car. Today, one must wear cross-country skis or snowshoes.
The folded cards measure 6 1/2" by 5". Envelopes: 7 1/4" by 5 1/4". Cards and envelopes are made of acid free paper. Your "Birch Trees" cards will be protected in transit by a stout sheet of cardboard.

At my feet, the fish pointed himself slightly upstream, gills moving, summoning the energy to move on. A slight tap on the tail sent him on his way. The image for the card was produced using a special transfer printing process which replaced most of the photo's sharpness with blurs of color and light.

The folded cards measure 6 1/2" by 5". The candles and a lamp remain. As was the case the day I took this shot, the afternoon sun cooks whatever is in the window, so the colors on the outward-fading sides of the candles will fade over time.

Folded cards measure 6 1/2" by 5". Early in June, this 3-foot-wide strawberry sign hangs from a telephone pole, telling people that the crop has ripened. Kodak Portra VC (vibrant color) film and a polarizing filter gave this shot its extraordinary saturation. A special transfer printing process in the work flow softened it up.

Folded cards measure 6 1/2" by 5". Envelopes are 7 1/4" by 5 1/4". And the public (photographers, too) can behold the wonders because the school welcomes visitors. The colors and sweeping lines on this photo brought "watermelon" to the mind of more than one curious person.

A polarizer gave this shot a red that is almost maroon. A special transfer printing process in the workflow softened the lines, hid most of the peeling paint, and helped the sky become a blot of deep blue.

Folded cards measures 6 1/2" by 5". The edges were torn to demonstrate the fibers that are a principal characteristic of this remarkable paper. The printed paper was placed briefly on a thin layer of paste, lifted carefully, placed on the front of an acid-free blank greeting card.

Folded cards measure 6 1/2" by 5". Chrisser told me the name, and Wiki and other web sites told me that the bitter root of the gentian plant is one of the sources of the soft drink Moxie's unusual flavor.

I found the wildflower on the side of the Klondike Notch Trail in the high peaks region of the Adirondacks. Sun was scarce that morning, but these flowers have a glow of their own. I got a sharp picture in low light because a tripod held my camera, and air in the deep forest was still. A special transfer printing process in the workflow took away most of that sharpness, leaving blurs of color and light, that, to me, are as soft as the flower.

Folded cards measure 6 1/2" by 5". Now the lift hill is merely an incline, (and inclined the wrong way, at that) having been pushed down by a heavy load of snow in 1995, the web told me. Just beyond the point where the chain dips downward, you can see the "clacker", a steel strip of angled teeth that would catch and release a noise-maker attached to the bottom of the coaster's cars, adding to a rider's sense of foreboding.

Image measures approximately 9" high by 9 1/2" wide on a 10" by 10" sheet. Nonetheless, just about anything that could be broken has been broken--smashed items, school supplies, and books litter the floors. These shoots are as thin as wire, and just about as stiff. Some shoots grow straight up, and some are pushed over in clumps by weather or their own weight, making the marsh look like it has a real bad haircut. You can't see them in this shot, but many little bugs live under the grass and close to the muck. And if you want to take a picture like this yourself, wear old clothes and plan to put them right in the wash when you get home.

Printed on "metallic" paper. An 8" by 10" print fits in an 11" by 14" frame. Please indicate whether you prefer the proportions in the photo above, for your custom-cut matte, or a print that will fit in a standard 7 1/2" by 9 1/2" opening.
At my feet, the fish pointed himself slightly upstream, gills moving, summoning the energy to move on. A slight tap on the tail sent him on his way.

An 8" by 10" print fits in an 11" by 14" frame.
