If you are looking for that unique, classic Holiday Outfit for the upcoming season, I think you just found it here in this maxi skirt. It would be lovely to wear on a cool winter's night, sitting by the fireplace or singing songs on a stroll.

The fabric is a combination of cotton plaids and rich corduroy like velveteen. There is an elastic waist that goes from 24 inches to about 36 inches comfortably. A navy blue grosgrain ribbon is sewn onto the waistline with long ties for a lovely bow. The skirt is fully lined in a navy blue lightweight cotton fabric. The skirt is well constructed and of quality fabric.

I must admit I hate to part with this skirt. Luckily it won't fit me! In researching Mr. Hank I have found similar skirts on the internet and Mr. Hank it appears liked squares and rectangles as all of his skirts have similar
designs.

The photos were taken with a flash. The colors in the skirt are a bit more toned down with sort of a Ralph Lauren look.

Size - depends of waist measurement but is should fit Small to Medium or even Large depending on your own waist measurement.

Length is 40 inches

Condition - excellent.

Celebrate a special occasion out on the town or in your own home - invison a candlelite dinner for two - with this gorgeous 1980's Black Velvet Dress screen printed with a metallic overlay of swirls, curls and flowers. The halter neckline has two black round bead buttons that are closed with fabric covered loops. The three black bands that drap from the neckline to the midback are velvet. There is a side zipper, let slit on the front 25 inches in length, and a lovely dropped rhinestone pendant at the point of the vee neck.

The metallic overlay takes on differing colors depending on the light. In the day light it appears to be silver, but when it is evening and light flashes across the dress, many colors appear - red, purple, silver, aqua, and blue. It is simply divine.

The side view photo shows the dress with the metallic work in the silver coloration. All other photos are taken with flash on so you can see the many colors. The half model is a size 6 the full model is a size 4. The half model gives you a better idea of fitting - although I could not zip the dress on the half model!!

Measurements - bust 30", waist 24" ,length 41" taken point of vee neckline to longest point in the front of dress. Length will vary with the bias/pointed hemline.

color - deep rose pink with silver glitter and deep rose pink ribbon band on hemline.

Gorgeous 1970's disco dress that does not appear to have been worn. Halter closure, ruching on the bodice front and back, double layered tulle with pointed hemline banded with a lovely satin ribbon. This dress is fully lined with a poly knit lining material.

I simply love this dress, the color is stunning, the glitter sexy and eye catching, ruching so very feminine and the layers of tulle,, just a dream.

John Travolta, where are you know when we need you? We should be dancing - yeah!

Vintage Crewel Embroidered Wall Decor Childs Room - Storybook Little Boy Hansel 1970s

I believe this might be Hansel from Hansel and Gretel. He is a delightful young man with cherubic eyes and rosy cheeks. He seems to be enjoying his strole along the flower laden path. Accompanying him are a singing Blue bird and a winsome rabbit with the cutest set of ears I've seen. This piece would be lovely in a toddler's room with stuffed rabbits about and classic storybooks nearby.

This piece is professionally framed with brown paper backing and hanging wire. The wooden frame is scuffed up a bit. It can be left this way if you like the shabby look. Or, you can glide a cotton ball with a bit of same color stain along the edges to cover the marks. Reframing the pieces is certainly an option and would allow for choice of color frame to match your tot's room.

The embroidery is superb - please check the photos carefully to see this fine stitchery. There is a loose stitch just below the rabbit. A green thread needs to either be reinserted (if you take this out of the frame) or simply tacked down with Fabric Tac Glue. The same for a stitch on the top green leaf to the left. It is not pull out, just a tad loose and again a dab of fabric glue will do nicely.

All in all, this is adorable and a one of a kind item to make your tot's room a cheerful and happy place to play.

I believe this box was an A&P brand of cheese much like Velveta cheese.

The box is a 2 pc original cardboard box meausreing 8 1/2 inches long, 2 1/2 inches tall and just about 3 inches wide.

79 is stamped on the bottom - perhaps the price!!

Condition - fair - one corner in the front has a tear and there is general use.

This would be an interesting item to have in your vintage kitchen.

This is a lovely feminine white dress with lace and beading. Sheer lace points adorn the hemline while a cotton lace completes the top with a semi high neck collar pintucking on the bodise, medallion and V-pointed lace on bodice as well. Slightly puffed sleeves this lace again on the cuffs and on the sleeves themselves - with a bit of show through of your arms.

Back zipper is in working condition as well as the invisible hook and eye.

I bought this outfit around 1973-1974 at the Cherry & Webb shop in downtown Providence, RI. Cherry & Webb later became CWT and closed sometime in the early 90's. So, we have provenance, date of purchase and the original owner. I think it would have cost in the $40-$50 dollar range. On the show Antiques Road show,those things seem to be important.

Measurements -

Jacket - bust 42", length 29", sleeve length 23"
Pants - waist 35", hips 42", leg length 45", leg cuff width 12 1/2" across or 25" around!

The orange is more of a tangerine color. I find orange hard to photograph so let's hope for the best color representation. There are some slightly darkened wrinkle marks on the legs as you would have when sitting down and a small (1/2" long by 1/8" wide) smudge on one pants leg at hemline. The jacket appears to be fine. The corduroy is a heavier weight which is great for Fall wear and it is very soft almost like velvet indicating a fine fabric. The garment in whole was well constructed with flat feld seams, high quality buttons and those pointed collars so hip in the 70's. If you notice there is a wedge or criss-cross at the top of the jacket, either side. These are little pockets! They would have been good for holding a few dimes back then to make a phone call or two - from a phone booth of course.

1953 Manuel on how to type on an electric typewriter. This was a book ahead of it's time. I did not get to use an electric typewriter until the early 1970s.

condition - used, a bit of writing on several pages, owner's name on inside cover. Some wear at top where you would have flipped the cover/pages over. Overall - pretty good for 56 years old.
