These are the 'grown up' version of my crochet hair clips.

The flower part has two layers of petals crocheted in dark cream wool. Dotted along the edged of the petals are tiny lilac seed beads to add sparkle. The clips are of the bendy snap shut kind.

Suitable for children and grown ups alike. Sold as a pair but please contact me if you would like a single clip.

Hmm I think I'm getting a bit addicted to making these crochet pouches - it all started when made a crochet pouch to keep all my essentials together in the HUGE bag I have to carry around on outings with my 4 year old. They are really handy and you can just pop them into your jeans or jacket pocket on the (odd for me) occasion when you don't need a bag.

The size of the pouch is really dependant upon the yarn thickness and amount - see my other listings for different sizes and shapes.

This pouch is large enough to hold a mobile phone or a pack of tissues or your knitting/crocheting needs. It has a lobster clasp so that you can attach it to your handbag or project bag or clip onto a belt loop.

Hand crocheted with an interesting stitch pattern. Button closure and a clasp so you can clip onto a bag or belt loop.

This chunky hand knitted scarflette/neckwarmer is very feminine. The colour is a pale lilac with flecks of dusky pink.

The closure is a single mother of pearl flat button that catches the light and adds a bit of sparkle.

The button hole is edged with a lilac crocheted flower.

Due to the chunky knit the scarflette is very stretchy so would probably wrap twice around a child's neck.

I couldn't help thinking of Spring weddings as I knitted this. I would have liked to have photographed it draped across bare shoulders in a Summer frock - but I couldn't get a willing model in the cold weather we've been having.

However with the long scarf wrapped around your neck several times it is surprisingly warm so good for all weathers.

The predominant shade is peach with hints of pink, yellow, blue and green threaded through it.

Autumn Leaves Woollen Felted Shoulder Bag OOAK

Okay - I have a secret - sometimes wool 'talks' to me. When I first saw this I knew that it HAD to be made into a bag.

To take it further I just cast on with no pattern in my head and let it take shape.

The bag is truly One Of A Kind (OOAK). The end result has a triangular base, shoulder strap and a loop tie closure.

The wool used reminds me of autumn leaves and changes from a deep redish brown to an orangey yellow.

The felting process makes the fabric very strong and I managed to cram my diary, glasses, umbrella, purse, keys, phone and tissues into the bag with no problem (and room to spare).

Having spent a Saturday afternoon womaning a stall at the local Summer fete I came into contact with lots of homemade jams and preserves. Some looked interesting others looked like divine gifts.

My mum had the idea of making up kits to turn your homemade** jam, pickle or preserve jar^ into a great gift and I thought I'd sell them on Etsy for her.

I'm not sure how old this pattern is but the person I acquired my patterns from hasn't sold any knitting patterns since 1990.

This looks distinctly 1970s.

It is to make two different sweaters - one with a hood, one without. Both with Nordic style pattern.

To fit chest 61-86 cm (24-34 inches).

Tension: 6 stitches and 8 rows to 2.5cm (1 inch) measured over stocking stitch using size 3 3/4mm (size 9) needles.

Pattern is over 4 A5 pages. Slightly yellowed with age and curled at the edges - despite being kept in a plastic folder since received at the shop.

Doris the dummy got a bit carried away in the photo shoot and wore this as a hat but it's really a cowl/neckwarmer.

Knit in chunky yarn with varigated hues of greens and purple.

It has been shaped to be larger at the base of the neck - to sit on the collarbone - and has a ruffled edge at the top.

Finished off with a crocheted flower. Hand knit 'in the round' so no seams. Lovely and warm for the autumn and winter months.

Just before Christmas my sister asked me to knit her a hot water bottle cover. I wanted to knit her something luxurious and filled with love. After a few attempts the Hug a Hottie was born.

Knit in gorgeously soft luxury wool in 2 shades of burgundy/red the cover has a split at the back for easy access to the bottle. The ribbed neck allows access to the bottle top (and hides the nasty neck.

The best bit is the pocket at the front - large enough for both your hands to keep them toasty or for hugging your hot water bottle during a PJ day.

This is a light Spring/Summer scarf that is over 2 metres long and has a button detail. The buttons can be used to ties the scarf in different ways or to just add interest. On 6mm needles, 16 stitches and 16 rows to 10cm in pattern.

Having spent a Saturday afternoon womaning a stall at the local Summer fete I came into contact with lots of homemade jams and preserves. Some looked interesting others looked like divine gifts.

My mum had the idea of making up kits to turn your homemade** jam, pickle or preserve jar into a great gift and I thought I'd sell them on Etsy for her.

The kit contains: 6 circles of fabric (3 green, 3 green and cream stripe), 6 sticky labels to adorn your jars, 6 elastic bands and 6 card labels - should you decide to give them away as gifts.

** the jam, pickle or preserve doesn't have to be homemade - you could steam the label off your favorite brand and pretend that you've been slaving over a hot pan (but don't tell mum I said that).
^ the jar could contain other things such as sweets or buttons

Hand knitted in a pale purple fine cotton yarn with purple sequin embellishments to the ends.

This scarf is surprisingly light and I couldn't resist adding a bit of sparkle now that we're entering the holiday season.

With the long scarf wrapped around your neck several times it is surprisingly warm and good for all weathers.

The knit naturally curls in on itself making it ideal to be wrapped around your head or simply knotted at the neck, you could even wear it as a belt or sash. Opened out the scarf could also be worn as a light shawl.

It measures approximately 80 inches long and 3 inches wide. (200cm long, 34cm wide)

I'm not sure how old this pattern is but the person I acquired my patterns from hasn't sold any knitting patterns since 1990.

This looks distinctly 1970s or earlier.

It is to make a ladies raglan sweater in 4 sizes from bust measurement 86-102cms (34-40 inches).

Tension: 'Based on st.st. tension of 9sts and 11 rows to 5cm. (2 inches) No 5mm (6) needles using Aran.'

Pattern is over 4 A5 pages. Slightly yellowed with age and curled at the edges - despite being kept in a plastic folder since received at the shop.

As I am unsure of copyright this is for the actual pattern not a pdf - I will be listing more patterns and if you wish to purchase several I will combine postage.

Vintage Pattern from Wendy for Ladies Waistcoat (no 1916)

The jade colour of this cowl is accented by the black thread running through the yarn that I used.

This is a light Spring/Summer cowl with a relaxed neck that means that the cowl can be worn loosely like a scarf or doubled up to cover the head and neck.

Handknit on straight needles, so this cowl does have a seam.

I have used a diamond lace pattern to add interest.
