Woman of the Woods - FRAMED 14x17 nature collage and painting

"Woman of the Woods" is a collage created from nature. The face is almost entirely constructed of Birch Bark, while the hair is made of leaves. This collage is multi-media as paint has also been added to give a more monochromatic and visual appeal. The hair has been painted the brown, but the texture of the leaves shows through. As a result, this collage is not only about the Woman of the Woods, but also about shape, line, color and texture.

The entire image, including border measures 14x17 inches, and is firmly attatched to foamcore board. The image has been sealed with mod podge to help protect it, and has also been framed for you in a thin black frame. All that is left is for it to be hung and enjoyed!

This item will be shipped UPS. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you may return it to me within 30 days of the original ship date, (unchanged and undamaged). "The Night Watch" is a drawing I made on pastel paper using black and white charcoal. As the original is not available for sale, I have instead decided to make the image into blank notecards that could be enjoyed by anyone. If you are looking for the great details of a drawing, these cards are for you. You can see the marks made with the charcoal, as well as bits of the brown pastel paper showing through adding just a hint of color and warmth to the whole image.

The cards are on a heavy weight paper and measure 5.47" by 4.21". The inside of the cards is left blank so they can be used for any occasion, even just to say hello. 5 Cards and envelopes included.

OTHER DISCOUNTS: Another discount option is to opt for no matting. Matting takes time and materials, so if you wish to have no mat, I will reduce the original price by 15%.

Calling all cherry lovers! This is a detailed drawing of close-up cherries. I enjoyed making this piece because it was very interesting how the light reflected off the cherries, while still providing many shadows to keep it interesting. If you enjoy this piece, it is also for sale as prints and in notecard form.

"Cherries is a 9 1/4 x 12 1/4" colored pencil drawing that has been matted and framed to 14 x 18". The mat is a floating double-mat, which means there is a space between the first and second mat to create depth.

The image has been signed on the front and labeled on the back of the frame.

This is a beautiful painting of a portulaca flower. This is a rather small flower that I have painted very close-up. It features rich reds and small dew drops on the petals. The watermark you see in the picture is not on the actual work itself. The piece is signed on front and labeled on the back.This is one of my favorite recent paintings and I hate to sell it. However, I hope that someone will find this painting as beautiful as I do and they will be able to enjoy it on their wall. The image has been sealed with a spray on laquer for protection. It is matted for a 16x20 frame with a white mat. All you need to do is to frame, hang and enjoy!

This painting is based on an immature sunflower bud. It is painted in a very close-up fashion so it takes on an almost abstract or surreal appearance. This painting is done on a 16x20 inch gessoed board. There is a white border that goes all the way around the image so it appears to be matted, so the image itself measures 13x17 inches. This painting would look great in a simple black frame. The painting has been sealed with a spray on laquer, so it isn't completely necessary to frame behind glass, but it could be if you wanted to!

"Blossom of Light" is an original pastel drawing, or painting,was created with semi soft pastels on pastel paper. The image itself measures 9 3/4" x 7", and is already matted and placed in an 11"x14" frame. This is a double mat, with black mat on the inside and white mat that spreads to the frame dimensions. The frame is black.

This piece of art was inspired by the natural shapes of the astromeria flower. From there the flower grew and took on new colors and new life, until it appears to be a blossom of light itself. Signature and other information, such as date and title are listed neatly on the back of the image.

"Blossom of Light" is an abstract and colorful image that takes something ordinary and makes it much more. Pastels provide great intensity of color and pastel paper adds a soft, textured look. This image has been fixed to prevent smudges, but as with any artwork, people still must be careful when handling! If you should happen to want this image for your own, be sure not to rub it as it still may smudge and damage it.
