I made this corsage pin from a vintage doilie and a piece of vintage costume jewelry. I use non-destructive construction techniques so the doilie is not damaged or marred in anyway. In fact, you could de-construct it and use it as a doilie again!

The doilie is a creamy white and looks like it was originally handmade. The rhinestone studded orb in the center probably came from an earring. The piece of vintage jewelry is attached in the center on the front, while a new pinback has been attached to the back.

Not too big or too small, this corsage measures 3.5 inches in diameter. The center rhinestone orb is petite at 3/8 inches in diameter.

This corsage is a larger piece measuring 5 inches in diameter. The center rhinestone brooch is 1 inch in diameter.

Story behind the art
While browsing through old family photo albums, I came across photos taken at a my Grammy's birthday party when she was probably about 6 or 7 years old in 1919-1920. She and all the little girls at the party were dressed in pretty starched and pressed white dresses with huge bows in their hair. There was only one little boy at the party--little baby Jack with his head of blond curls. My mixed media drawing "Little Elsie & Baby Jack" was inspired by those photographs.

Print is on high-end Hahnemuhle acid-free paper--the choice for all fine art prints. Print measures 11" x 8.5". Signed and dated. Packaged in cellophane sleeve with rigid backing and shipped a rigid mailer for extra protection. Watermark and decorative toy motif background will not appear on final product.
