I was going away for the weekend and I needed something I could dress up or dress down, and this ended up as "THE" perfect piece.
In the evening I would either wear a cute pashmina or a lightweight cardigan. During the day, literally as my swimsuit cover. There is little straps on each side, that keeps the ribbon in place, and you can either tie it in the back or in the front. I even wear it over my jeans for the more funky going out look. I'm addicted to the empire waist and aline, truly perfect for any and every occasion.

[ FABRIC INSPIRATION ]
An old painting inspired me; it featured a remote beach of Denmark around the 18th century. A group of fashionable ladies and children strolling, you could feel the win, sand and sun. It all looked so peaceful and idyllic, I wanted a small piece of that.

I have been in a vintage mood lately and I needed something naughty and nice, so Mrs Robertson came to mind.

It all started with the "Tea Time" dress, but I wanted something I could wear with jeans or dress slacks. I turned it into a shorter version, which made it a tunic top.
You can still add a turtleneck underneath for the cooler month, or use it as a swimsuit coverup during the summer time.
The 3/4 asian inspired sleeves are stunning, and the tie that creates the empire waist adds to the sweetness. Of course I had to add the Boutique Mia's signature hem for the added touch.

I love the classic simple lines of a-lines, VOILA "A-line skirt a la' Flirt" was born.
Of-course I had to add the Boutique Mia's signature hem for the added touch.
I used the adjustable elastic drawstring with the toggle clasp on the waist, so you have the capability to wear it lower on the hips or on the waist.
Lately I have become fascinated with raw silk, I love the texture and the raw beauty of the fabric. I used it on the hem and I left the hems unfinished, so they will fray over time adding uniqueness to the garment. The last finishing touch was the three little buttons, just for that little extra "something".

I hand dyed the cotton to get a vintage feel and this resulted in a beautiful grey shade. Due to this process, variations in colors and dye spots will occur, which makes it even more unique and one of a kind.
The skirt is a classic "a-line", I used the adjustable elastic drawstring with the toggle clasp on the waist, so you have the capability to wear it lower on the hips or on the waist.

An old painting inspired me; it featured a remote beach of Denmark around the 18th century. A group of fashionable ladies and children strolling, you could feel the win, sand and sun. It all looked so peaceful and idyllic, I wanted a small piece of that.
I chose a linen mix (linen and rayon mix), since it still feels like linen and the linen look, w/out giving the super wrinkled look as soon as you wear them, but still gives you just some of the wrinkles.
I used the adjustable elastic drawstring with the toggle clasp on the waist, so you have the capability to wear it lower on the hips or a tad bit higher.

[ FABRIC INSPIRATION ]
An old painting inspired me; it featured a remote beach of Denmark around the 18th century. A group of fashionable ladies and children strolling, you can feel the win, sand and sun. It all looked so peaceful and idyllic, I wanted a small piece of that.

I chose a linen mix (linen and rayon mix), since it still feels like linen and the linen look, w/out giving the super wrinkled look as soon as you wear them, but still gives you just some of the wrinkles.

Of course I added Boutique Mia's signature hem (but I can do them w/out too).

I love the classic simple lines of a-lines, VOILA "A-line skirt a la' Flirt" was born.
Of course I had to add the Boutique Mia's signature hem for the added touch.
I added a pocket this time too and I'm in love with it, it's oh so sweet.
I used the adjustable elastic drawstring with the toggle clasp on the waist, so you have the capability to wear it lower on the hips or on the waist.
