This scarf is made from a men's cotton white T and hand-dyed pearl gray. It's perfectly long enough to wear doubled or hang low with just about everything from your favorite comfy sweater from his closet, to a little black dress and heels on New Years Day.

One edge is sewn due to the construction of the t-shirt, the other end is left raw so it curls a bit. (Please see the last picture for color details and pattern. You will notice tiny bits of purple, green and yellow where the dye hit the fabric directly on purpose.)

This item has been pre-washed in cold water and dried on a low setting. You can wash it in cold and lay flat or dry on low.

*The actual color is closest to the last picture. It's a soft but noticibly smoky gray.*

Cozy, warm, snuggly, happy-making...sounds like soup to me! This is the perfect winter piece to ward of not only the cold, but the blahs that come from lots of gray days once winter sets in. The pattern is totally random, but it has such soul and a sort of tribal quality that adds depth to any outfit.

I created this from the beautiful remnants from other yarn projects (all 20% wool/80% acrylic, but also threw in some t-shirt material, and a bit of a cotton blend remnant found at the fabric store. This makes your Yarn Soup cowl a total one of a kind.

This hood is so warm and as much fun! The head and neck warmer in one is so convenient and if your winters are anything like they are here in Cleveland, this is an absolute necessity!
I should also mention that your ears will be warm too!

The generous hood can be adjusted to cover more or less of your forehead as needed to battle the cold, and on a windy day, you can tuck your face unto the neck warmer a bit. Last but not least, it is finished with a 2" polymer clay button handmade by me. The button is water resistant, but I recommend hand washing to avoid prolonged submersion. (Please allow your button to vary slightly as each is hand made).
