Rainbow Sherbet necklace

I feel happy and nostalgic just looking at this necklace for several reasons: 1) it reminds me of rainbow sherbet, and when I was growing up, my parents owned an ice cream shop 2) the pink and green combo reminds me of my childhood bedroom 3) the funky colors and whimsical hook make me think of Whoville in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. If it makes me so excited to look at it, just imagine how you’ll feel wearing it!

Pink and lime green glass bars alternate with yellow glass beads between. The 17 ¼” necklace is completed with more yellow glass and yellow jade. The longer bars dangle just over an inch off the necklace and the “Whoville” hook is sterling silver.

The colors are refreshing and cheery enough for summer, but “Seussical” enough to be funky, merry, and bright—you’ll be so much the center of attention, you just may steal Christmas yourself!

Storm Cloud bracelet

Like the sky before a storm, the unique qualities of the agate beads in this bracelet remind me of something powerful brewing. The lavender color of the agate changes in the light from grayish lavender to an amberish-brown effect, and the grayish-silver Czech glass beads in between bring raindrops to mind. This chunky necklace features a fabulous combination of colors—dyed coffee jasper is swirled with a fantastic bluer-than-teal/less-green-than-turquoise blue that reminds me of the color of the ocean in photos of Greece (one day I’ll make the comparison in person!). Though the colors are earthy and Mediterranean, the effect of the combination is straight out of the sweet shop—the marbling in these stones resembles what would happen if you stirred blue-raspberry ice cream into melting chocolate—yum!

Deco Your Necko necklace

I’m not actually positive that this qualifies as Art Deco style, but this piece—centered around two vintage pendants that I’ve attached to each other—will definitely make you want to get decked out and hit a speakeasy!

I’m not sure what is in the center of the pendants, but they match the black onyx beads used in the necklace perfectly. The larger pendant is about 1 1/4" wide. The black centers are encircled by gold-toned roping and beading—the tarnish on them adds to the antique look, and the yellow-gold glass beads and smoke-colored Swarovskis in the necklace add some shine. The necklace is about 18 ½” long, and the two pendants add almost another 3”, so this piece would look amazing on a tall, broad-shouldered gal. A gold-toned toggle that mimics the roping on the pendants closes the piece.

Wear it alone, or with the Deco Your Lobes earrings for a Breakfast-at-Tiffany’s-Lunch-at-the-Ritz look! Shorten that hemline and put on your cloche hat it’s time to paint the town red!
