Herbal Salve, French Lavender

$8.95
• One 2 oz. net wt. glass jar of Lavender Herbal Salve

• All 100% natural ingredients

• feature: French Lavender essential oil

• Two Herbal Oils

• Added: Unrefined Shea Butter, Jojoba, Vitamin E

• $8.95

This salve is made to be luxurious to the lavender and herb lover.

I use two herbal oils I make myself. Lavender in sweet almond oil & chamomile and st. johnswort in extra virgin olive oil - to which I add unrefined shea butter and jojoba.

This is an excellent salve for hand or foot cream, in place of a cuticle salve, on the lips especially before retiring :), and a must for those who like the real lavender (as opposed to the fragrance oil of lavender). I have customers who wear it on their lips at night and would take an oath it helps them sleep deeply. It is very nice on the hands in place of lotion - works in deeply and maintains smooth and soft hands for a long while. Very, very fragrant.

And, a little bit goes a long way.

Thank you.

Nature's Perfume, Jasmine Sambac

$9.95
10% Jasmine (jasminum sambac) in pure golden unrefined jojoba in a 1/6 oz. glass roll-on with cap

jasminum sambac is a sweeter version of jasmine that makes me think of jasmine in the warm, night air

feature: natural perfumed jojoba in a roll-on glass bottle

Cost: $9.95

I have two versions of jasmine. One is a deeper, bass note with little sweetness about it, and the other is this one. Its sweetness is very floral and fragrant and does not hurt the nose. Most people enjoy this sweet one more. Its aroma makes me feel as if I’m wearing garlands of the flowers!

Nothing manmade beats a natural perfume. The smell is so very agreeable to our noses, brains, and bodies. And, if believed, the natural oils have properties beneficial to our psyches and well-being. Just smelling a natural essential oil, absolute or precious essential is said to have its positive effects.

(When manmade: smells can aggravate our noses and there are little benefits. Smells do trigger memories, though, so in that way, they are beneficial if the memory is sweet.)

Jojoba is a new “darling” of the skin care world. It is endowed with many said properties of preservation, penetration, protection, and filled with good things for our parched and abused skin. It is an ideal base for natural absolutes and precious essentials because of its supposed ability to preserve (last a long, long time) and it is odorless itself. It also seems to penetrate the skin quite quickly leaving the aromatic natural perfume behind to linger a few hours.

Other benefits of a natural perfume are that it does not seem to offend others, it doesn’t last long enough (some do not see this as a plus, but if it leaves you wanting more...), it doesn’t affect the smell of our clothes, and it helps us connect with something very natural and wonderful.

I tried the solid natural perfumes, but not many enjoyed getting the solid on their fingertips. Where to wipe it? Then, oil spots everywhere...

*Absolutes have a tendency to separate from oil/jojoba, etc. To use your perfume oil effectively, the “best” way is to warm the bottle in your hands until the absolute is solvent with the jojoba. Using anything else might break down the properties.

Thank you!

ps. Each perfume oil will come in its own handmade organza bag.

Shampoo with Silk Bar, Marsh Mallow scented

$4.90
• One 4+ oz. marsh mallow root shampoo bar

• Scented with essential oils

• added MEmu Oil and avocado oil

• feature: marshmallow root water

• no conditioner or rinse needed

• $4.90

My shampoo bars are distinctively different from my bath soap or any other recipe.

My recipe includes coconut oil, castor oil, extra virgin olive oil, and jojoba. I add silk to the sodium hydroxide and distilled water for extra proteins from amino acids for our hair.

This favorite seller has a new twist. This extremely gentle to dry hair shampoo is now scented with essential oils of lavender, cypress, roman chamomile, rose geranium, and bergamot.

I am using it now, and I love the way it makes my hair feel and smell. I use the same essential oil blend in this shampoo bar as I do with the Marshmallow Root Bath Soap. I think this is my best shampoo bar for dry hair (which I now have, thanks to menopause), but I like a scented bar.

If you like my marshmallow root shampoo bar, and you think you would enjoy a scented one, this is an excellent choice.

Other marshmallow shampoo bar varieties are offered in my shop, as well as other shampoo varieties in general.

Thank you.

I add silk to the sodium hydroxide and distilled water for extra proteins from amino acids for our hair.

This is a favorite seller. It is extremely gentle to dry hair, and definitely non-drying to the scalp. It makes my hair feel very smooth and soft. It is the only unscented shampoo soap I make. And, many of my customers claim it makes their hair thicker, grow faster, and eliminate dry, itchy and flaky scalp.

I offer more shampoo bars in my shop, along with a few scented varieties of this marshmallow shampoo.

Thank you.

The pic with the marshmallows is truth. The marshmallow herb I use in my products used to be the source for real marshmallows made of spun sugar and marshmallow root water. It was a real treat, I hear. Today it is just sugar. :)
Castor oil adds creamy and smooth lather. This shampoo bar also leaves a glycerin conditioning in our hair. And, I add jojoba that is reported to repair damaged hair.

This lovely shampoo soap adds lavender tea, emu oil, avocado oil, and essential oils of tea tree, rosemary, and basil. It is earthly fragrant and leaves the hair feeling full and clean! It is one of my favorites!

Thank you.
Bath Soap, Raspberries and Aloe

$4.90
• One 4+ oz. Raspberries & Aloe Bath Soap

• Scented with an all natural flavor oil of Sweet Berries

• feature: aloe butter

• $4.90

This recipe uses oils to create a super lathering bar, even in cold water; while being super moisturizing for dry skin at the same time.

All recipes are created for a reason, and this one is no exception. I have customers that have dry skin but do not enjoy a cocoa butter soap.

This recipe enjoys quite a bit of avocado oil which is said to be exceptional for dry and maturing skin. The other oils used provide a lot of big and bubbly lather and rinse cleanly. This bar leaves the skin feeling very silky soft after use.

This particular recipe adds an all natural flavor oil from one of my suppliers, called Mixed Berries. It is soooo good.

I also use pink ultramarine for the color.

Aloe butter is added for the extra lathering it seems to lend to a soap recipe.

Thank you.

The latest batch is swirled color, but sometimes I do a solid batch. :)

Spicebush berry is historically used for rheumatic pain.
Whipped Winter Butter, Jasmine and Coffee

$6.45
• One Winter Butter, whipped with Jasmine & Coffee, 1 ¼ oz. net wt.

• Base of Butter: Mango Butter

• with shealoe butter and coffee butter

• and jasmine floral wax and absolutes

• benefits: aromatic and a real delight to the dry, parched winter skin

• $6.45 each

This is the result of an idea I had a couple of months ago. I noticed one of my suppliers had both the jasmine floral wax and coffee butter on sale. I thought then that these two might complement each other. So, I pulled in the ingredients and created a mango butter recipe.

The reason I did not use shea was for the aroma. I use natural shea, and it has a very distinct odor of its own – some like it and some don’t. But, I knew it would affect the aroma I was going for – and I have been curious about whipped mango butter for some time, anyway.

This butter came out beyond my expectations. It makes my skin so very soft, and I do love the combination of aromas –it has a jasmine sambac high note and jasmine grandiflorum middle to base note with coffee base note.

Mango whips very creamy and light. And, a little bit goes a long way, so the butter will last a good time.

If you like jasmine and coffee, I think you would love this butter. Otherwise, you may want to check out my unscented whipped shea – it is divine in a fragrant free way, or check out my Bulgarian rose scented whipped shea.

Thank you.

ps. I don't like using wax in my butters. However, Jasmine sambac floral wax is used in this butter (it is simply divine!!!) in such small amount and only as wax with which to hold the jasmine essence, I have to be forgiven this slight. I think you will not find this hard to do once you have enjoyed some for yourself. :)

*d tocopherols is the "proper" name for natural vitamin e

Lavender is said to be a powerful disinfectant for those areas that need help fighting germs.

And, lavender is so very nice on the body. It is a silky smooth powder that leaves the skin feeling so soft. It is medium fragranced (so not overly strong) for all applications.

This powder with only lavender in it is also safe enough for most of those who are expecting and nursing.

I package my powders in cardboard shakers that cuts down a bit on plastic manufacturing. They are very attractive shakers that are mostly biodegradable.

Thank you.
But, since I do not name my soaps like that, I just couldn't do it. One day, I will have to do so.

But, it looks and smells like fudge ripple ice cream. It is a smooth, hard, and shiny bar that only cocoa butter can do to a soap.

It is a rich milk cocoa brown with dark cocoa brown swirled throughout. And, the vanilla fragrance oil I use is just awesome in a soap - smells so good.

Thank you.

MEmu Oil, my own herbal moisturizer

$12.70
MEmu Oil, my own herbal concoction

• One 1 oz. MEmu oil in a Roll-On Glass Bottle

• Unscented with seven skin rich herbs

• features: emu oil, jojoba, and other skin rich oils

• good for the eyes, face, hands, feet

• $12.70

This is a product of my own creation, making, and designing for my own maturing skin needs. I had good enough skin until I hit 49. Then, all of a sudden, age spots, wrinkles, sagging skin, etc. My bruises would last longer, my wounds would take longer to heal, and my skin looked sallow. So I got to work with my knowledge of herbs and researched skin rich oils until I put something together I really liked - I call it my MEmu Oil. (for Marshmallow root combined with emu oil)

7 herbs(marshmallow root, echinacea leaf, comfrey leaf and root, calendula, chamomile, and elderflower) , and 9 skin rich oils consisting of extra virgin olive oil, emu oil, macadamia nut oil, almond oil, extra virgin coconut oil, hemp oil, avocado oil, evening primrose, meadowfoam oil, and jojoba, along with a few drops of vitamin E and D-tocopherols.

The gentleness of this oil lends it to be used even on the most sensitive of skin. It is written that the herbs and oils are good for bruises, age spots, skin conditions, and stretch marks, skin around the eyes, neck, and face for premature aging, and skin burns and rashes.

I make this in small batches to ensure quality and freshness. Jojoba and vitamin e also serve to extend its life.

The aroma is the chamomile herbal oil and extra virgin coconut oil. Chamomile is a very fragrant herb and virgin oils usually smell like their name.

Thank you.
I’ve tried chocolate mints from many different sources, but this one captures the chocolate as a top note with the mint as an underlying base note. It is just delicious.

Cocoa and almond butters blended together very smooth and creamy, and it gives the balm a very polished look.

Calendula herb oil is used to lend its healing and soothing properties to the balm.

I use no sugar or sweetener in my lip balms. People say it makes you lick the balm off your lips if it is sweet. But, this balm smells sweet! :)

This is definitely for chocolate mint lovers!! And, it is a special treat for your lips this winter. This and the Chocolate Mint bath soap is a great gift idea.

Thank you.

Lavender Shea shampoo bar

• scented with lavender & rosemary essential oils

• feature: lavender herb tea, shea butter, avocado oil

• no conditioner or rinse needed

• $4.90

My shampoo bars are distinctively different from my bath soap or any other recipe.

My recipe includes coconut oil, castor oil, extra virgin olive oil, and jojoba. I add silk to the sodium hydroxide and distilled water for extra proteins from amino acids for our hair.

This is a favorite shampoo soap. I think it makes predominantly gray hair shiny and softer than any other bar I make. I use it a lot myself. :) I like lavender anyway, but I have read many times that lavender is especially kind to hair.

To this lovely shampoo soap, I add lavender tea, unrefined shea butter, avocado oil, and essential oils of lavender with a touch of rosemary.

I offer many more varieties of shampoo bars in my shop.

Thank you.
Facial Toner and Body Spray

$4.90
• One Facial Toner & Body Spray, 2.1 fl. oz. in a fine mist spray bottle

• Base of Mask: a mix of hydrosols (herb and flower waters)

• Pure with only Hydrosols – herbal water left over from steam distillation of essential oils

• benefits: all skin types

• $4.90 each

This is a blend of hydrosols – flower and herb waters created by the steam distillation of plant material for essential oils.

Essential oils are the concentrate molecules that carry properties of the plant that are considered the active ingredients in a plant. The hydrosol has some of those molecules as well as inactive molecules of the plant. The active and inactive work together, imo, to minimize any possible side effects.

This item is 2.1 fl. oz. worth of a mix of hydrosols is enjoyed by any and all who have sprayed this into their face. It is made to be sprayed on the face after a deep cleansing and before moisturizing.

It acts as a facial toner, which is important for toning the pores and refreshing our skin.

It may also be used as the liquid in our clay masks, or anytime we want a “moment” alone. :)

One story I can impart with this product is my own. I am a substitute teacher for my local school. When I go in, I take a bottle of this Facial Toner & Body Spray. I set it up on my desk in the children’s sight and explain to them that if they get to feeling a bit exuberant or ready to burst with pent up tension, to come up and spray this hydrosol mix into their faces (with their eyes closed, of course), and it will help disburse that feeling. Many of them look forward to my days of sub teaching just for the spray alone. :)

Thank you.

Herbal Lib Balm in a Tube

• Scented with essential oils

• added candelilla wax

• features: herbal oil, unrefined shea butter, jojoba

• all pure natural ingredients

• $2.95

Aromatherapy means I use essential oils of plants, the real deal and 100% natural for the scent of these lip balms. Herbal means I use herbal infused oils as the base fixed oil of the balm.

Sweet Tangerine - Vegan
The base of this lip balm is made with Calendula herbal oil using Macadamia Nut oil. I add some shea butter to the candelilla wax and then add jojoba to the oil, along with a few drops of vitamin e. This lip balm goes on silky smooth and soft. The aroma is so aromatic and just plain good. It smells and taste like the juice of the fruits are on the lips, and feels so smooth and creamy. The new version without soy and using candelilla makes a harder but shinier version of this balm. I am loving it!!! Lips look and feel delicious.

Thank you!
Face Soap, Bergamot

$4.90
• One 4+ oz. Bergamot Face/Bath Soap

• Scented with bergamot and spruce essential oils

• feature: aloe vera and buttermilk

• exfoliate: green tea herb powdered

• $4.90

My face soaps are ingredient rich soap recipes even without the additives.

The face soaps are extremely kind to dry skin and are effective dry skin bath soaps.

My face soap is a gentle, very lathering with some creaminess, clean rinsing, and non-drying, oil-rich bar of soap. The skin feels clean, soft, smooth, and pliable when washed with it.

This particular face soap, Bergamot Spruce Green Tea, adds aloe vera, green tea powdered, buttermilk, more extra virgin olive oil, and essential oils of bergamot and spruce, which gives it a piney citrus aroma. This is quite an aromatic soap.

The green tea herb fills the soap with gentle exfoliates and gives it eye appeal. Green Tea is showing great results for skin in recent studies. This is reportedly a great face soap for normal to oily skin because of the extra virgin olive oil added at trace, as well as the essential oils of bergamot and spruce, green tea, and aloe vera.

Thank you.
It is a power packed herbal balm with essential oils of tea tree and rosemary added. I also add wheat germ to this balm for the vitamin e and other nutrients of wheat germ.

The blend of rosemary and tea tree seem to lead to an aroma I liken to lemon meringue pie.
Dead Sea Mud Pak, Black, 100 grams

$5.65
• One Dead Sea Mud Pak, 100 gram net wt.

• Base of Mask: Black Dead Sea Mud

• with aloe vera gel and carrot seed essential oil

• benefits: all skin types

• $5.65 each

This is the real deal...Dead Sea mud with added aloe vera gel and carrot seed essential oil.

Dead Sea mud offers many benefits to our facial skin. It not only gently absorbs all impurities from the skin; it imparts a richness of mineral goodness to our skin.

The mud has an aroma that is very clean, light, and sweetly refreshing.

Carrot oil is added not for aroma, but Carrot Seed is reportedly fantastic for skin care (revitalizing and toning) and considered one of the best Essential Oils for Mature Skin.

Carrot seed oil is also said to assist in removing toxins and water build up in the skin giving it a fresher more firm appearance. The carrot seed oil complements the natural aroma of the mud, too.

Upon drying, it will easily wash off, leaving your facial skin so very clean, soft, and rejuvenated.

This can be directly applied to the face as is. Mud comes already wet, so it is quite easy to apply. If you want it thinner, simply add some delicious facial liquid as you would to a clay mask.

This facial application is more recommended for maturing skin than clay masks, although a clay mask occasionally leaves the skin very cleaned. Dead Sea mud cleans but also replenishes, while a clay mask is more responsible for a deep cleansing, pulling everything away that is not attached.

100 grams of Dead Sea Mud Pak is enough for 4 or more facial applications.

Thank you.

Pet Soap Shampoo Bar

• Scented with a blend of essential oils

• feature: silk and jojoba for the hair

• Essential Oils said to be tick and flea repellant

• $4.90

This is a very hard soap that is lathering, clean rinsing, and moisturizing.

The essential oils added are safe enough for humans, too. In fact, they come in a light dose so as not to offend your pet.

I do add silk and jojoba as I do for my shampoo soaps. But, the base bar is my Sunflower Bath soap recipe, and that works so well to keep their skin from drying out, their hair soft, and its gentleness so appreciated by your pet.

This one soap has gotten many reviews and none of them bad. The most common is how this soap lathers on their pet; most were skeptical regarding that, and all come back saying yes, lots and lots of lather making it easier to use.

Thank you.
Yarrow & Witchhazel Bath Soap

• Scented with a clary sage essential oil blend

• feature: Witchhazel hydrosol, yarrow tea, organic extra virgin olive oil

• exfoliates: witchhazel herb and oats powdered

• $4.90

This is a very hard soap that is lathering, clean rinsing, and moisturizing.

The best soap for acne skin is said to be the Castile pure olive oil soap sold under my Special Soaps section.

However, it is unscented without exfoliates and not much lather. And, many of us, including those with acne, like a soap that is scented, with exfoliates, and lathers like crazy.

This is my alternative soap for those with acne who want to use a different soap.

I chose yarrow and witchhazel for the reportedly astringent properties and the kindness it extends to our skin. Yarrow is also said to be disinfectant and antibacterial, naturally so. And, witchhazel leaves our skin very soft and is said to be antibacterial, too.

I also add a bit of organic extra virgin olive oil at the end, along with an essential oil blend that includes clary sage and a bit grapefruit.

It is a very herbal rich aromatic soap that I enjoy smelling very much, even with my non-oily skin!

Thank you.
Just Lavender Bath Bar

• Scented with lavender essential oil

• feature: lavender herb in extra virgin olive oil

• Lavender soap for Lavender lovers

• $4.90

This offer is for a bath bar for all skin types. Lavender is considered a great skin care herb and essential oil. It is gentle and effective in cleaning and regenerating skin cells. It is always a delight in the bath.

I use a recipe for this soap rich in apricot kernel oil. This oil benefits all skin types, but is especially kind to maturing skin. To this recipe, herbal oil of lavender macerated in extra virgin olive oil is added, as well as some avocado oil, rich in vitamins, and jojoba beads with the essential oil of lavender.

The jojoba beads are melted down almost completely with some still around to gently exfoliate. The beads give this soap a light blue hue.

All my lavender soaps enjoy great popularity, and this one is no exception. In fact, it enjoys a great popularity not being mixed with another fragrance.

Thank you.

ps. blue color intensity varies with the melting of the jojoba beads

Sea Salt Soap, Lavender Rosemary

$5.65
• One 5+ oz. bar of salt soap Lavender Rosemary style

• lb. batch of soap uses lb. sea and dead sea salt

• coconut oil soap

• added ultramarine for color and essential oils of lavender and rosemary and a bit of Dead Sea salts

• heavy, dense, hard, long-lasting bar gentle enough for the face

• $5.65 each

This is an idea from the internet. I looked through all my soap books, and there is no mention of salt soap.

My first salt soap was a trial and error soap I used and gave it away until it was gone. It was awesome for all the errors.

I made this one next knowing a lot more, and it came out so beautiful and useful, I knew I had to offer it for sale. My family used a sampler size of this batch until it was gone. In a home filled with almost a hundred varieties of soap, this is a rare occurrence. A month later, I find I have trouble using other soaps. I keep a full bar in my bath.

It is made with a high amount of coconut oil, which is said to be drying in soap at that percentage. However, when this soap is superfatted more than usual with added great superfatting oils of avocado and castor, it more than makes up for that.

It is a dense bar and very heavy. After 1-2 uses, it becomes rock hard and smooth on the outside, like a polishing stone.

It will last a bit longer than handmade soap without salt. It has a creamy lotion-like lather with extreme softening properties from the very fine sea salt. And, it smells wonderful!

To this particular sea salt soap, ultramarine for the deep lavender color was added, as well as a blend of lavender and rosemary essential oils. To this salt blend, I added a bit of Dead Sea salts. It is also interesting to note that salt acts as a scent fixative, and I have to admit the aroma of the salt soaps is medium to strong.

I think this would make an excellent winter soap for smoothing out all the winter bumps that comes with wearing so many clothes all the time, which prevents skin from "breathing".

Thank you.

Dead Sea Mud Pak, Black, 214 grams

$11.25
One Dead Sea Mud Pak, 214 gram net wt.

• Base of Mask: Black Dead Sea Mud

• with aloe vera gel and carrot seed essential oil

• benefits: all skin types

• $11.25 each

214 grams of Dead Sea Mud Pak is enough for many facial applications.

Thank you.

I had heard about orange wax but never even saw it until I ordered some a few weeks ago. It is a liquid wax, thicker than jojoba but not as thick as pine tar, though it is almost as dark as pine tar but with an orange tint to it.

I am also playing with mango butter more this year. It is an awesome butter, much like shea in its properties and qualities, but it almost has no odor. This makes mango butter more fun to work with regarding scents and aromatics.

I also use calendula in macadamia nut oil for just about every lip balm I make to include this most excellent and gentle skin care herb a part of our lip care regime. Calendula, says Rodale Reader’s Digest, Herbs, is a soothing antiseptic and an excellent skin healer.

I, personally, think this lip balm smells like I’m wearing orange peel on my lips but without the burn. It is very aromatic. The balm is a darker shade than I normally see in my balms, but this is due to the orange wax. There is a light coloring to the lips, a bit of a copper orange look. This is the balm I'm using this winter (and already).

Treat yourself this winter to oranges every day with this balm!

Thank you.

Lavender Pure olive oil soap

• Extra Virgin Olive Oil only

• Hard, long-lasting, all natural soap

• with Lavender & Rosemary essential oils

• cocoa butter added at trace

• $4.90

This pure olive oil soap just adds lavender and rosemary essential oils to a pure olive oil soap

I also add a tad of cocoa butter, too. It gives it a bit of creaminess the unscented doesn't have, as well as a smooth hard finish to the bar

This is a very nice creamy off white soap, very hard and long lasting (if allowed to dry out between uses).

This soap makes the skin feel super soft, even if it doesn't produce a whole lot of lather. But, as with all olive oil soaps, the longer the cure, the more the lather. I work to send you a long cured olive oil soap.

There are other castile soaps offered in my shop.

Thank you.
The skin feels clean, soft, smooth, and pliable when washed with it.

This particular face soap, Oatmeal, Chamomile, & Honey, adds chamomile hydrosol, buttermilk, powdered oats, german chamomile flowers powdered, sweet almond oil, and local honey.

It is a good soap for those with sensitive skin for the gentleness of the soap, the added ingredients, and that it is unscented.

It does have a very faint sweet chamomile aroma that is completely inoffensive. Not quite as strong as a warm baked cookie.

Thank you.
Sea Salt Soap, Rose Geranium style

$5.65
• One 5+ oz. bar of salt soap Rose Geranium style

• lb. batch of soap for lb. sea and Himalayan salts

• coconut oil soap

• added rose geranium essential oil

• heavy, dense, hard, long-lasting bar gentle enough for the face

• $5.65 each

This soap is made with a high amount of coconut oil, which is said to be drying in soap at that percentage. However, when this soap is superfatted more than usual with added great superfatting oils of avocado and castor, it seems to more than make up for that.

To this particular sea salt soap, Himalayan salts were added for the bit of pink color bits that complement the rose geranium essential oil.

Thank you.

Pumpkin Spice Bath Soap

• Unscented with added avocado oil

• feature: Cocoa Butter, Pumpkin Spices, & Oils

• exfoliating Cocoa Butter Bath Soap

• $4.90

Cocoa Butter Bath Soaps are made a bit richer in butter for dry skin. Ingredients for this soap are listed below.

This cocoa butter bath soap uses quite a bit cocoa butter in its recipe. It makes a rich bath soap. I add the same spices we would add to pumpkin pie. I use pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. I also add turmeric for its beneficial properties to our skin. This creates a very dark looking soap. It makes the soap quite exfoliating, too.

I then add essential oils of a blend to mimic the pumpkin pie spice. I add nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, and ginger essential oils.

And, what makes this soap quite interesting is that it smells stronger and stronger with time like a pie would. It is also quite aromatic and makes the skin tingly when used in the bath.

This is one of my more popular bars. When customers ask me for a spice bar, I show them this one. It goes over very well.

This bar is not for sensitive skin.

Thank you.
Bath Soap, Amber with Cocoa Butter

$4.90
• One 4+ oz. Amber Cocoa Butter Bath Soap

• Scented with amber fragrance oil and amber resin oil

• feature: Cocoa Butter and Aloe Vera

• exfoliate: turmeric powder

• $4.90

Homemade natural soaps are mild and do not dry out the skin, anyway, but cocoa butter soaps provide a little extra in the bath. There are some oils and all butters that have molecules that will not turn into soap no matter what is done, according to Dr. McDaniels in his book on cold processed soap, and several other soap making authors. These molecules are in the soap, but they are not soap. These molecules are extra kind to the skin.

When someone wants to make a richer soap, they use at least some oils that have some of these rebellious molecules. The lye is decreased accordingly, and a very rich and extremely mild soap is made.

Cocoa butter has some of these molecules. So, this makes this soap a bit richer than my other bath soaps.

This is quite an exotic soap. I use a cocoa butter base, and then the fun begins. I use real amber essence in this soap. I know it is a resin, but I have made essences with resin before. I trust you may make a real resinous oil with amber.

I add aloe vera to this soap with extra cocoa butter. I then add the amber essence and amber fragrance oil with turmeric powder. It makes for a beautiful dark soap, as well as fragrant, lathering, clean rinsing, and creamy soap.

Thank you.
Rosemary Shampoo Bar with Silk

• Scented with essential oils

• added parsley herb and rosemary tea

• feature: honey and avocado oil

• no conditioner or rinse needed

• $4.90

I use only extra virgin olive oil instead of mixing grades as I do in all other soaps but a few. The hair deserves a little extra attention, I think.

Coconut oil adds hardness and big bubbly lather; it also helps the shampoo to rinse cleanly quickly. Castor oil adds creamy and smooth lather. This shampoo bar also leaves a glycerin conditioning in our hair. And, I add jojoba that is reported to repair damaged hair.

This particular shampoo bar, Rosemary & Honey has historically been used for dark hair. The combination of additives I use also help with oily hair. Rosemary has historically been used to deal with lice. Parsley has historically been used for dandruff. And, honey is said to condition overworked hair.

This is very lathering and aromatic shampoo soap. It has a pleasant tingle to it when used as shampoo.

Thank you.
So, I came up with one that still lathers great, but leaves little oil behind.

And, this recipe includes hemp seed oil, which is great in a soap/shampoo recipe for its emollient properties, slipperiness, and lather.

After stirring the main recipe together, eucalyptus tea is added for its wonderful disinfecting and nourishing properties.

I add just a bit apricot kernel oil to take the edge off and keep the bar mild and gentle. And, I added lime essential oil both for the aroma as well as the citric benefit to eliminating minerals from the head and from your water.

This shampoo bar has a great smell with the lime added. I tolerate this smell out of the bottle, but in a soap, WOW! And, with the eucalyptus, it smells just like ginger ale! :D

This recipe produced a very hard and long lasting bar, too.

Thank you.

People say it makes you lick the balm off your lips if it is sweet. But, this balm smells vanilla mint sweet.

Vanilla flavor oil is blended with peppermint essential oil to create a sweet minty vanilla for the lips.

This is definitely for vanilla mint lovers!! And, it is a special treat for your lips this winter. This and the Vanilla Mint bath soap is a great gift idea.

Thank you.

Gardener's Salve, 2 oz Tin

$9.50
• One 2 oz. tin of handmade Gardener's Herbal Salve

• with essential oils of lavender, tea tree, and rosemary

• features a 5 herb oil, includes calendula, chamomile, st. johns wort, nettle, and green tea in extra virgin olive oil, macadamia nut oil, and jojoba

• Added: wheat germ oil and d-tocopherols

• Heavy Duty Herbal Skin Moisturizer, especially made for cracked skin in the hands and feet. Primary Base: cocoa butter.

• $9.50

This is my version of a Gardener's Salve. I made it for those hands and feet that experience cracked skin upon extreme dryness. Those hands that work in dry soil, chemicals, a lot of water, etc., experience an extreme dryness from such exposure to said elements. This extreme dryness leads to the skin pulling so tight as to crack open and create painful wounds.

The five herbs in this salve have been used for skin care and healing of skin wounds. The heavy base of cocoa butter is a primary moisturizing butter. The wheat germ oil and d-tocopherols are loaded with vitamin e for the skin. A heavy 3% lace of essential oils add their said benefit to healing.

Because of the wheat germ oil and cocoa butter, this salve does not sink in quickly. It seems to be quite effective when put on at night and allowed to skin in slowly.

A side effect of this salve, I am told, is that it is also quite effective at repelling biting insects. Yay!

Thank you.

Bath Soap, Lavender Patchouli

$4.90
• One 4+ oz. Lavender Patchouli Bath Bar

• Scented with lavender and patchouli essential oils

• feature: shea and mango butters

• Rich avocado and butter bath soap

• $4.90

This offer is for a bath bar for normal to dry skin. It is a shea and mango butter soap with herbs and essential oils. I consider this an exotic soap for the aroma and blend of herbs.

This is an avocado rich recipe for bath soap with added shea and mango butters. The longer I make soap, the better my new recipes become. This is a new recipe using palm kernel v. palm (better bubbly lather and hardness of soap bar), increasing the sunflower oil and using a hefty amount of avocado oil. Avocado oil makes a very rich bar of soap, but have to watch for softness of soap. Palm kernel helps with that so that I may use a nice amount of a rich oil.

To this lovely recipe, parsley and comfrey herbs are added. They add interesting eye appeal as well as act as mucilage for the skin – very soothing and softening. The butters perform the same function – softening to our skin.

This soap was made on request by a friend and co-farmer’s market member this summer. I am so glad I made it – it does not smell like either patchouli or lavender but something rather exotic. And, even though I enjoy bathing with it, I cannot help but think of a man’s cologne or aftershave as I use it.

Thank you.

I am bound by law to discount any claims by these essential oils, but, then, why would you buy it? And, alas, this is not the place for this discussion.

However, it is said...that these particular oils are effective at repelling fleas, ticks and other critters, and also disinfect, deodorize, and condition hair and scalp.

It also smells nice, I am told regularly. I think so, too.

People ask me if it really works. This is what I mentioned above. By law, I am bound to say only this..."traditionally it works", "it has historical value as", "it is said", "it is written", etc.

So, for some odd reason, I cannot say whether or not it does. In today's society, the best thing we can do is look for ourselves. Google the above essential oils, and you may see why I use them in this blend.

Thanks for allowing me a "soapbox" moment.

Kathleen

Thank you!

ps. I have several customers using this product as a human insect repellent. So, I am pretty sure this product is safe enough for it. If you ever want to test a skin care product, apply it on the under part of your forearm. After a few hours (up to 24), if you see no reaction, it is pretty safe for you, too.

I had already got this idea from Susan Miller Cavitch's book, The Soapmaker's Companion. I live in an area that appreciates old time remedies, and this is a steady seller.

I also add emu oil for its reported natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and skin regenerative properties. It is very high in oleic acid which is beneficial on its own enough so that no lotions that inflame skin conditions are necessary.

It smells very much like pine tar, even with essential oils used. But, a scent to which I grew familiar, and after a short time, does not put me off. It has a strong, clean smell to it now. :)

Thank you.
Whipped Winter Butter, Jasmine and Coffee, 3 oz

$14.45
One Winter Butter, Large, whipped with Jasmine & Coffee, 3 oz. net wt.

Base of Butter: Mango Butter

with shealoe butter and coffee butter

and jasmine sambac floral wax and absolute

benefits: aromatic and a real delight to the dry, parched winter skin

$14.45 each

This is the result of an idea I had a couple of months ago. I noticed one of my suppliers had both the jasmine floral wax and coffee butter on sale. I thought then that these two might complement each other. So, I pulled in the ingredients and created a mango butter recipe.

The reason I did not use shea was for the aroma. I use natural shea, and it has a very distinct odor of its own – some like it and some don’t. But, I knew it would affect the aroma I was going for – and I have been curious about whipped mango butter for some time, anyway.

This butter came out beyond my expectations. It makes my skin so very soft, and I do love the combination of aromas –it has a coffee top and middle note and jasmine sambac is the base note.

Mango whips very creamy and light. And, a little bit goes a long way, so the butter will last a long time. I use mine everywhere...on my face, my lips, my arms and elbows, and love it on my feet.

If you like jasmine and coffee, I think you would love this butter. Otherwise, you may want to check out my unscented whipped shea – it is divine in a fragrant free way, or check out my Bulgarian rose scented whipped shea.

Thank you.
Peppermint Cocoa Butter Bath Soap

• Scented with peppermint essential oil

• feature: Cocoa Butter and chocolate mint herb

• exfoliate: chocolate mint herb

• $4.90

This soap seems to be very popular as a "wake-me-up" or invigorating scent in soaps. This soap is just a tad different than most. I add chocolate peppermint herb.

To a couple of cups of soap I take out (pouring the rest of the batch in the mold), I swirl in the finely crumbled dried chocolate mint herb. This gives the soap a chocolate tone to the peppermint, working well with the undeodorized cocoa butter in this soap. It is a very aromatic and slightly exfoliating soap.

This is a cocoa butter bath soap good for those with normal to dry skin. Peppermint, it is thought, is kind to dry skin.

Thank you.
Myrrh Cocoa Butter Bath Soap

• with synthetic fragrance oil of myrrh

• feature: Real Myrrh resin macerated in extra virgin olive oil

• Dry skin Bath Soap

• Added: cocoa butter, myrrh resinous oil

• $4.90

I use real myrrh in this soap. I take the resinous herb and macerate it in extra virgin olive oil for a very long time. I use this oil in the recipe and add it again at the soap's trace. This makes quite a luxurious bar of cocoa butter soap.

I agree with other soap making authors, that the additives in a soap determine the finesse of a soap...and myrrh seems to make a soap richer, creamier, more lathering, and softens/soothes skin exceptionally well.

In addition, myrrh is said to be kind to maturing skin, cleaning well the pollution agents that tend to make us look older than we are.

I also add a little bit more cocoa butter to this myrrh soap, as well as myrrh skin care fragrance oil for the very mild exotic spicy aroma.

If you like a mildly spicy scented very mild bar of very rich soap, this is it.

Thank you.
This includes orange peel powder, calendula petals, turmeric powder, sweet almond oil, and a sweet orange essential oil blend with clary and dalmation sage.

I made this soap for normal to oily skin, young and mature.

It is true I do not advocate citric acid for teenage and serious acne; however, I find this a fabulous soap for adults with oily skin.

It is quite fragrant, too. With a mostly sage and orange blend, I think the sage helps fix the orange aroma.

For teenage and serious acne, I made the unscented Castile soap, which might be less irritating in its pureness.

Thank you.
Goat Milk Lavender Chamomile Soap

• scented with lavender and chamomile essential oils

• feature: comfrey, chamomile hydrosol, unrefined shea butter

• Milk Soap for the Bath or Face (I've used this one in my hair when wanting a richer bar for my head)

• $4.90

This Lavender Chamomile Goat Milk soap is made using a recipe that creates a long-lasting, hard, very lathering, clean rinsing, mild bar of soap.

To this ingredient rich goat milk soap, I add the goat milk, chamomile hydrosol, unrefined shea butter, powdered comfrey leaf, a few drops of vitamin e, and essential oils of lavender and roman chamomile.

This soap lathers extremely well, smells really great (a lavender chamomile scent much like the one I use in my lavender/chamomile lip balm), and leaves the skin feeling wonderful.

I make a few of the ingredient rich soaps like the one you see above. These are the kind of soaps you just have to dive into and not be afraid of. I would like to make a lot more of them, but a lot of people today have allergies and afflictions and are afraid of trying such an ingredient rich soap.

Thank you
I thought, then, I may be able to offer a somewhat unique product: a Whipped Shea Butter without wax that you may use around your eyes with more confidence it will not rip skin cells.

This is a very rich product for the skin. It melts on contact and after some massage into the skin, it is not greasy anymore as it will have sunk in. The emu oil and jojoba both work toward this end. And, this butter leaves the skin feeling so soft and smooth lasting a long time.

A little goes a long way, this jar will last a long time.

I've had this particular butter used as a massage butter on my entire body neck to feet. It was sooooo good. It smelled wonderful, felt great, and by the time the massage was done, it had all sunk into my skin and left nothing greasy but just pure soft skin.

Thank you.
Sea Salt Soap, White Mint

$5.65
One 5+ oz. White Mint Sea Salt soap

oil used to make soap and salts equal by weight

coconut oil soap

added mints essential oils

heavy, dense, hard, long-lasting bar gentle enough for the face

$5.65

This soap is made with a high amount of coconut oil, which is said to be drying in soap at that percentage. However, when this soap is superfatted more than usual with added great superfatting oils of avocado and castor, it seems to more than make up for that.

To this particular sea salt soap, Epsom salts were added to the sea salt. Essential oils of peppermint and spearmint are used, as well. It looks and smells like Christmas peppermint candy. But, don't eat it. It is soap.

I think this would make an excellent soap for the feet. The oils of mints are considered a bit harsh for sensitive skin, and salt is mildly irritating to sensitive skin, too. So, when I made this, it was with the feet in mind. Sometimes, the feet need some extra attention. And, if you feel like continuing your day on into the night, washing your feet with the bar may be all the extra grooming you need to perk you back up.

Thank you.

I've been fortunate enough to teach a class to a scout troop. It was fun!

They love fruit flavors, but strawberry seems to be their favorite. I make this with them in mind.

I am also playing with mango butter more this year. It is an awesome butter, much like shea in its properties and qualities, but it has almost no odor. This makes mango butter fun to work with regarding scents and aromatics.

I also use calendula in macadamia nut oil for just about every lip balm I make to include this most excellent and gentle skin care herb a part of our lip care regime. Calendula, says Rodale Reader’s Digest, Herbs, is a soothing antiseptic and an excellent skin healer.

Give your lips some luxury and treat them to an all natural herbal lip balm. This glides on so easily, is not sweetened, and treats your lips to something special.

Thank you.

Jasmine Bath Soap

• Scented with Jasmine Fragrance Oil, a synthetic oil

• feature: white bar, no herbal additives, great scent

• $4.90

This recipe creates a super lathering bar, even in cold water; while being super gentle and non drying to skin.

This recipe is heavy on apricot kernel oil which is an exceptional oil for sensitive skin and rich in vitamin A. Sunflower oil is an emollient with large amounts of vitamin E, nutrition for the skin and especially useful for oily skin.

The other oils lend to the hardness, long-lasting, and high lather of this soap.

This particular Jasmine variety adds a bit more of all the oils and the fragrance oil, but no more than that. This is an ideal soap for someone who doesn't want a bunch of stuff added to his or her soap.

It is a visual soap for its whiteness, and an aromatic bath soap best for most skin types.

Thank you

Lavender Lilac Bath Bar

• Scented with lavender essential oil and lilac fragrance oil

• feature: Aloe Butter

• Avocado oil and aloe butter soap

• $4.90

This offer is for a bath bar for normal to dry skin. It is a soap recipe rich in avocado oil and added aloe butter. Ultramarines are used for color appeal, while it is fragranced with a blend of essential oil with fragrance oil.

This soap was made at the request of my partner. He thought the two might mix well. I think he’s right. Lavender essential oil gives the lilac fragrance oil some depth.

Aloe butter soaps tend to big bubbly lather and very soft skin.

Thank you.

I add silk to the sodium hydroxide and distilled water for extra proteins from amino acids for our hair.

The unscented variety of this bar is a favorite seller. It is extremely gentle to dry hair, and definitely non-drying to the scalp. It makes my hair feel very smooth and soft. This variety is the same except for the added peppermint essential oil. It smells really, really good but not overpowering.

I offer more shampoo bars in my shop, along with a few scented varieties of this marshmallow shampoo.

Thank you.

(2 ¼ oz.)

• features: comfrey herb

• includes wheat germ oil, emu oil, vitamin e

• with essential oils of sage, tea tree, and ginger

• benefits: aches, soreness, sweaty feet, athlete’s feet, & poor circulation

• $5.90 each

This is an absolute wonderful balm for your feet. It has the herb, comfrey, in it that benefits pain and soreness and softens them, too. Emu oil also works to that end, while wheat germ oil works to heal sores and cuts on the feet. Jojoba helps take in the balm through the skin. Shea butter also helps the soreness, as well as softens your feet.

Vitamin e, jojoba, and bees wax serve to preserve your balm naturally for at least a full year.

Essential oils are added to aid in poor circulation, warm the feet, tend to sweaty feet, and treat fungi. Sage, tea tree, and ginger are used.

This winter, treat your feet to the attention they deserve. After a good herbal/salt soak (see Foot Soak under New Items), dry them off, and massage some creamy, aromatic, foot balm into your feet and enjoy the warmth and goodness they will feel.

Your feet will appreciate the extra tender loving care.

Thank you.

Castile Soap, w. Marsh Mallow herb

$4.90
• One 4+ oz. Marsh Mallow pure olive oil soap

• Fragrance Free

• features Marsh Mallow herb

• using only extra virgin olive oil

• $4.90

This is a castile soap, which means to me, a soap made with only olive oil. I, personally, use extra virgin olive oil, but I think other olive oils are good, too. I make this soap primarily for my customers with acne or eczema, elderly skin, baby skin, and for those with sensitive skin.

I make one that is unscented and no herbs – just extra virgin olive oil, sodium hydroxide and purified water. To that soap, I add marsh mallow herb and it creates this soap.

I add the herb root water to the soap after a light trace. I’m looking to get all the goodness of the herb I can into this soap without much of it being affected by the lye.

This herb lends gentleness to an already gentle and mild soap. It seems extra kind to maturing and dry skin. It is still unscented (marsh mallow root has very little scent before making tea and after – and I find no scent in the bar upon curing). But, the olive scent of my Unscented Castile bar is not present either – a lighter “almost” sweet scent dominates.

The bar is also very silky smooth - more silky smooth hard than the unscented pure bar.

This soap was created at the request of an Etsy customer. She thought the two might make the best soap ever. If you like unscented olive oil soaps, you may think so, too. :)

Thank you.

And, best of all, no wax!

This listing is for a 2 oz. glass jar of Whipped Shea, Unscented. I call it unscented, because I add no essential oils (or fragrance oils) to this product. However, unrefined natural shea butter has a nutty scent of its own.

Thank you.
It is reportedly a pain reliever and speeds recovery. Comfrey is a natural source of allantoin. Spicebush berry was historically used for rheumatic pain. And, Meadowsweet has salicylic acid in it, another pain reliever.

The emu oil and jojoba are said to take itself down in deep and quick, which allows it to work almost at once. I am still amazed at how well it helps my family, and so many customers report the same.

This salve is traditionally effective at relieving pain and reducing swelling.

BEST SELLING SALVE!

This is a new packaging for my salve. The convenience of this packaging is hard to beat. It is made for travel, hikes, car trips, purses, backpacks, etc. It is convenient to apply without using your hands and can be used almost anywhere.

Thank you.

Bath Soap, Cypress Christmas

Cypress Christmas Bath Bar

• Scented with essential oil of cypress

• feature: hemp seed oil and parsley herb

• Rich apricot kernel oil recipe

• $4.90

This offer is for a bath bar for most skin types. It is made with my rich apricot kernel oil recipe that includes sunflower and coconut oils. It is a very hard bar with abundant lathering properties. The parsley herb is added to one side to give it a slight layered look.

The essential oil used in this soap is cypress. I love this aromatic oil. It has a deeper note than pine, and it smells like I am in an evergreen wood.

The herb, parsley, is high on the list of cosmetic herbs. It is rich in vitamins A, B, and C, salts of iron, calcium, magnesium and chlorophyll. I've noticed most soap makers use just the chlorophyll extracted from the parsley. I might, too, if I didn't grow it. It is an excellent herb for the green color, but it is wonderful to the skin and hair, too.

Hemp seed oil is considered a conditioning oil when used in soap that adds nice creamy lather to the big bubbly lather of the soap recipe itself. So, this soap produces abundantly rich, thick and creamy lather.

The bar is silky soft to touch. It is attractive and aromatic for the winter season.

Thank you.

I don't blend my dark and aged patchouli oil with any other essential oil for scent in this soap. It is all patchouli.

And, since most of my patchouli customers are near my age, I add a bit of unrefined shea butter at the end of making this soap, as well as some aloe vera for some extra kindness to our skins. I powder lemongrass herb for the gentle exfoliate.

It's a pretty bar of soap. I think it is strongly scented, but it seems for the patchouli lovers, you cannot get it strong enough.

Thank you.

Anti-Poison Ivy/Oak soap

• Unscented with added organic extra virgin
oil

• herbal additive: jewelweed tea

• good fragrance free bath bar

• $4.90

This is a very hard soap that is lathering, clean rinsing, gentle and mild. It is also a great unscented sunflower bath soap in general, as the jewelweed also releases beta carotene into the tea.

I add jewelweed tea to this recipe, along with a little organic extra virgin olive oil. It is a very simple and pure soap in its additives. I get a lot of good feedback from those who use it.

Several of my customers will take a bar home, cut it up in four pieces, and give three out to friends for emergencies.

This is a good soap to have on hand.

In very bad cases, people around here in northeast Tennessee wet the skin, and rub gently some of this soap on the affected area. They say it draws it out.

Thank you.
Bath Soap, Comfrey and Aloe

Normal to Dry Skin Bath Soap, Comfrey & Aloe

• Scented with synthetic fragrance oil of Sandalwood

• feature: aloe butter, comfrey root tea

• exfoliate: comfrey leaf powder

• $4.90

This recipes uses oils to create a super lathering bar, even in cold water; while being super mild for dry skin at the same time.

This recipes enjoys quite a bit of avocado oil which is said to be exceptional for dry and maturing skin. The other oils used provide a lot of big and bubbly lather and rinse cleanly. This bar leaves the skin feeling very silky soft after use.

This particular recipe adds comfrey in a big way - the leaf is powdered and added as exfoliates, and the root is made in to a decoction and added, too. I also have some aloe butter I added to this variety, along with some sandalwood fragrance. It has such a clean smell, and it is very popular at the farmer's market.

It is a nice, dark and aromatic bath soap said for dry and/or normal skin because of the mucilage of comfrey and aloe butter.

Thank you.

Cocoa Marshmallow Root Bath/Face Soap

• Unscented with added cocoa powder and cocoa butter

• feature: Marshmallow root water and MEmu Oil

• with vanilla bean infused in sweet almond oil

• exfoliating ingredient-rich herbal soap

• $4.90

I am listing this as a face soap, but it is also an effective body soap that is NOT scented with essential oils.

This marshmallow soap is different in this respect; this soap has homemade vanilla bean macerated in sweet almond oil added to it at the end of stirring it, as well as cocoa powder. It creates a very dark soap, and one that smells a little like homemade brownies without anything added for scent.

It is a soap rich in additives and lather and a pleasure to use on the face and body.

My marshmallow soaps are unique. I grow the herb myself and make my own root water and a couple of other things I'd rather not say. ;)

I make several of which are found under special soaps, face soaps, or shampoo soaps.

Thank you.
Unscented Pure Olive Oil soap

• Fragrance Free

• features only extra virgin olive oil

• Fragrance Free

• $4.90

This is a castile soap, which means to me, a soap made with only olive oil. I, personally, use extra virgin olive oil, but I think other olive oils are good, too. I make this soap primarily for my customers with acne or eczema, elderly skin, baby skin, and for those with sensitive skin.

I make this one that is unscented and no herbs – just extra virgin olive oil, sodium hydroxide and purified water.

This is the purest vegan friendly soap I know being made today. Three simple ingredients: extra virgin olive oil, sodium hydroxide, and purified water.

Thank you.

ps. This is not a new soap; however, it has been lost...I cannot find the listing for this soap. So, I'm relisting it with my new Winter 2009 products, and it will stay here until January.

saponified extra virgin olive oil, added marsh mallow root tea
Bath Soap, Old Fashioned Lard Soap

$4.90
• One 4+ oz. Old Fashioned Lard Bar

• Fragrance Free

• feature: Aloe vera

• Smells and looks like Grandma’s cake o’ soap

• $4.90

This offer is for a bath bar for almost all skin types.

Lard was a staple, in the past, which was abundant and used often. The fat from the pig was rendered down, strained, and used to make soap, and lye was leached from wood ashes. They had a big day of making soap once or twice in the fall that would last them all year. Sometimes it came out really good, and sometimes it didn’t!

Here, where I reside, the local people remember someone in their family making soap when they were younger. If it wasn’t very good, I have a battle on my hands trying to convince them this soap made today is not, I repeat, not harsh. I say to them, “Making soap was an art back then; today, it is a science.” It matters not. Experience is hard to combat.

But, then there are others who remember “grandmother’s” soap more fondly. They love buying this soap. Although it is lard soap, it has enough coconut oil added to create a lathering soap, as an all lard soap is not known for its lathering making properties; but, it is more known for its conditioning properties. So, a bit of coconut oil is used to make a real nice lather for this soap.

I also add aloe vera to this soap at trace. Aloe vera and lard are compatible in providing softening and soothing qualities to soap. And, it is fragrance free.

Thank you.

In all the reading I've hunted, it is popular today because of its supposed ability to kill virus germs, including the H1N1 virus. Cinnamon is showing in studies to be responsible for killing streptococcus germs.

I do know that these oils are very antiseptic and disinfectant.

This is a popular item at the farmer's market. It has many uses:

1. as a natural deodorant. A few sites recommended using this oil directly on our skin under the arms. With the cinnamon in it, you may want to dilute some of this oil with a carrier oil, such as sunflower or olive oil. 60 drops to an ounce of carrier oil would be very effective.

2. To wipe down many surfaces with this oil - countertops, toilet seats, toilet paper holders, well used appliances, etc.

3. A couple or three drops in a diffuser with some distilled water will disinfect a room.

4. A couple of drops in the rinse water of your laundry load would disinfect the laundry.

5. Put a couple of drops on a tissue and leave it on your desk at work will continue to disinfect your area.

The oils come blended in a 1/2 oz. amber glass bottle with a euro dropper (to dispel your precious oils one drop at a time).

Thank you.

Facial Clay Mask, a blend of clays and herbs

The dry ingredients move like silk in the jar. The aroma is lightly herbal and earth-like. A very fine powder that works up into a smooth and creamy mask you may easily apply to your face.

Upon drying, it will easily wash off and leave your skin so very clean and feeling quite refreshed.

Use 1-2 teaspoons (depending on what you want to cover face down to neck) with a liquid your face enjoys (suggestions include aloe, any facial hydrosol, witch hazel, glycerin, warmed honey, vinegar, purified water, etc.). You may use gelatin for a "peel" mask.

Mix enough liquid to make a smooth paste, adding only a bit at a time. Apply to your facial skin. Allow to dry while you do something pleasurable. Used with gelatin, it will peel off – and in cases where it does not peel off, it will easily wash off.

Oily facial skin may enjoy a clay mask once to twice a week. Normal skin may enjoy it once a week, while dry skin may enjoy a clay mask every two or more weeks.

30 grams is enough clay mask formula to make 3-4 applications.

Thank you.

And canola oil and cocoa butter for the richness that they add to the soap.

I add aloe vera and buttermilk to help smooth and soften face. Betonite clay to help make the razor more slippery, and menthol crystals are said to help with razor burn that ensues.

Essential oils of bay and a bit of tea tree which smells great. So great that women have bought this soap for their bath soap. Wow! It must be the Bay! It is a great soap for the shave or the body.

Thank you.
Sea Salt Soap, Lime style

$5.65
• One 5+ oz. bar of salt soap Lime style

• lb. batch of soap for lb. sea and dead sea salt

• coconut oil soap

• added lime essential oil and Dead Sea and Dendritic salts & parsley herb

• heavy, dense, hard, long-lasting bar gentle enough for the face

• $5.65 each

This soap is made with a high amount of coconut oil, which is said to be drying in soap at that percentage.

To this particular sea salt soap, Dead Sea and Dendritic salts were added along with the lime essential oil and a bit of parsley to shade it green.

Thank you.

Its active ingredients are activated charcoal powder and rhassoul clay, along with honey powder, shea and cocoa butters, beeswax, vitamin e, and extra virgin olive oil. I tweaked this by adding just a bit of calendula macerated in macadamia nut oil and a touch of wheat germ and jojoba oils.

I've read it tends to act by drawing toxins and toxics from the body, such as cuts, bites, stings, slivers...it draws out the poisons through a drying up process.

I had one customer tell me this salve helped her get rid of a very tiny sliver in the palm of her hand that had been there for quite some time. She applied it on her palm and left it on overnight. Her grandmother had the black salve on the window sill, and this customer remembers it being used and still believes in it.

Thank you.

Bath Soap, Apple Cinnamon

$4.90
One 4+ oz. bar of Apple Cinnamon Bath Soap

Feature: Hemp seed oil and shea butter

Additions: jojoba beads for exfoliation on one side, and parsley herb on the other

Fragrance: Apple Fragrance oil blended with cinnamon essential oil - it is very aromatic and blends well

Visuals: jojoba beads provide a reddish pink layer, while parsley herb provides a green layer.

recipe includes: coconut, palm kernel, apricot kernel, sunflower, & castor oils

$4.90

This lovely soap recipe produces a very hard bar that lathers and lathers so much and rinses cleanly very quickly. It leaves the skin feel very soft and supple with no dryness, itch, nor stretchy skin feeling.

I am in love with this new recipe. I often exchange the apricot kernel for avocado oil when I'm working on a dry skin bar - but apricot kernel is good for all types...dry or not dry.

When I add butter to a soap recipe, I see an increase in big bubbly and small creamy lather. It also makes the soap glide a bit easier and last longer. Shea butter makes a very rich soap. The other side enjoys an addition of hemp seed oil. This oil tends to give soap more conditioning properties and very good feeling skin after a bath.

This particular soap uses jojoba beads for exfoliation and color - a scrubby side. Parsley is used in many of my soaps for its reputation as a skincare herb. The apple fragrance oil is blended with an amount of cinnamon essential oil from cinnamon bark. It is a very nice aroma.

Thank you.

It is a very pretty bar of soap.

It smells very much like the lilac in our front or back yard. That is often "Lilac's" selling point, its aroma.

This is a very hard bar of soap. It lathers extremely well even in cold water. The luffa granules are nicely and gently exfoliating, and the avocado oil added at trace gives this soap extra mildness.

This is a new recipe I've created. I am excited about the lathering properties of this soap, the softness of the skin after washing with it, and the silky feel of the soap when using it.
Essential Oil Blend, Tooth Brush blend

I've been using this blend for my own teeth, and that of my son for two years. It is awesome and pure.

Blend of undiluted essential oils includes: lemon, peppermint, and clove bud

12.95

You may think this an odd listing, but many people are now searching for alternatives for brushing their teeth. There are so many chemicals in toothpaste not so good for us, it encourages this search.

My teeth are very sensitive. Toothpaste set them off everytime I brushed. I used salt water for a long time, but while it may have cleaned, there was nothing there for breath, occasional cavity pain, or the killing of germs.

So, I did a little research and came up with the above three oils to help with the above problems. I'm very pleased with it.

I use a cup of warm water and add 1 drop of this oil blend to it. I stir it with my toothbrush and brush my teeth. My breath is so clean afterward, as well as my teeth (peppermint). It seems to quiet my sensitive teeth and pain, too (clove bud), and it must be killing germs (lemon).

It is a very nice alternative for me and my ds. And, my partner, who has no real teeth, enjoys it as a mouthwash.

This oil is packaged in a 1/2 oz. amber glass bottle with euro dropper insert to make convenient using 1 drop at a time.

Thank you.

Bath Soap, Lavender Rose

Lavender Rose Bath Soap

• Scented with lavender and geranium essential oils

• feature: avocado oil

• exfoliate: jojoba beads

• $4.90

This recipes uses oils to create a super lathering bar, even in cold water; while being super moisturizing for dry skin at the same time.

All recipes are created for a reason, and this one is no exception. I have customers that have dry skin but do not enjoy a cocoa butter soap. Up until now, I've recommended my face soaps for their bath bars, because my dry skin soap recipes include quite a bit of cocoa butter added before the lye and at trace.

This recipes enjoys quite a bit of avocado oil which is said to be exceptional for dry and maturing skin. The other oils used provide a lot of big and bubbly lather and rinse cleanly. This bar leaves the skin feeling very silky soft after use.

This particular recipe adds colored jojoba beads that are purple and rose - giving the soap a pinkish hue. I added emu oil at trace, along with the essential oil blend of lavender and rose geranium.

It is a visual and aromatic bath soap appealing enough for all skin types but the most sensitive.

Thank you.
Calendula Macerated Oil in Glass Bottle

• Macerated in Macadamia Nut Oil

• added jojoba (liquid wax) for preservation properties

• feature: Unscented

• all pure natural ingredients

• $7.85

I use Macadamia Nut Oil, because it is said to have the closest composition to our own watery substance that first appears after a cut or open wound happens. That watery substance is the first wave of healing molecules and compounds acting immediately to seal off wound and heal.

It is a light and non greasy type of oil. It is odorless as well, which makes this calendula oil odorless (calendula leaves no aroma in an oil). And, it is said to lend its healing properties to the reported healing properties of the calendula.

It is an easy oil to make if you grow Calendula flowers. Macerate the orange and yellow petals in an oil of your choosing for a few hours warm oven or on top of warm burner 6 to 8 hours. I make it with my own dried calendula petals.

This oil is gentle enough to use on the most sensitive skin, including the area of hemorrhoids. The herb and oil are said to eliminate the pain.

The jojoba in my oil serves to extend the shelf life of this product. But, this liquid wax is historically known to be beneficial to open and broken skin by helping to protect against infection. It is very likened to our own sebum.

Thank you.
Sweet almond oil is added at trace for some extra attention to oily skin.

Ultramarine is added for color interest - sometimes the batch will be swirled and sometimes solid color - same amount of ultramarine is used.

A natural flavor oil of vanilla mint is also added.
$7.85
• One 2 oz. Catnip Macerated Oil in Glass Bottle

• Macerated in Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Hemp Seed Oil

• added jojoba (liquid wax) for preservation and thinning properties

• feature: Unscented with essential oils

• all pure natural ingredients

• $7.85

I make a product that some of my customers enjoy as an insect repellent - and that is my Gardener's Salve and Salve Bar. I love the product but more for the reason I made it than as an insect repellent - it is a bit thick for me.

So, I make an oil for my use, and I find that several other customers enjoy it, as well.

I macerate my own catnip leaves in extra virgin olive oil and hemp seed oil. When I bottle it, I add a bit of jojoba for a longer shelf life and a thinner application.

It works so well for me in repelling no see-ums. And, this is one the studies seem to back up, esp. for mosquitoes and cockroaches. $7.85 for a 2 fl. oz. glass bottle of pure catnip oil, no fragrance or essential oils added, so that our young people may use it safely, too.

Thank you.
