Round Bottom Soda Bottle Applied Crown Top ca.1890s.Also known as a Cucumber.This bottle was blown in a mold,and has what is known as an applied crown finish closure.The lip,a crown top, was fashioned after the bottle was removed from the mold in which it was blown.It is 8-1/4 inches long.Nice shade of aqua.

Mouth-blown, true applied crown finish closure soda bottles are very uncommon.Mouth-blown, tooled crown finish soda bottles date from possibly as early as 1894, but more likely from about 1897 to 1910.

Thick heavy glass,Whittle-marked and with bubbles.Whittle-marking was caused by molten glass being blown in a cool mold.People used to incorrectly believe it was caused by marks from hand carved wooden molds.

NOTE:This looks beautiful with the sun shining through it.

This mystical tale of India was based on the novel by E.M. Hull While in India, Englishman Barry Craven (Mayo) marries a native, Lolaire (Evelyn Brent).John Locke (Joseph Swickward) arrives in India with Gillian, Craven's former sweetheart (Mildred Harris). Craven realizes he still loves Gillian, and Lolaire kills herself out of jealousy. Craven returns to England and marries Gillian, but his valet, Kunwar Singh (Bertram Grassby), casts a spell over him so that he is haunted by the specter of the dead Lolaire. Finally Craven leaves Gillian and returns to India. When Kunwar is killed, the spell is broken and Craven is free from the memory of Lolaire.

Six 5-1/4in.fruit dishes or bowls;three cups and three saucers;three 6-1/4in. bread plates.

White Flower was made for J.J. Newberry by Homer Laughlin China Co..It is white dogwood with yellow centers and green
leaves.

Rhythm shape was designed by Don Schreckengost.It came in solid colors and decorated with four different silkscreened decal decorations.White flowers is a bit harder to find than the other decorations.

Homer Laughlin date code,K 55 N5,on the bottom indicates these were made in 1955.

Condition -- Grade:Excellent; clean;no chips or cracks except for small chip on rim of one cup.See photo.No wear to decoration.Silver on rims is intact.

Czech Bar Pin circa 1910 Rhinestones Ornate Vintage Costume Jewelry.This is known as Bar Pin or Collar Pin.It dates from circa 1910,and is probably Czech in origin.It is silverplated brass with a central amber rhinestone and a dark blue rhinestone on each side.The amber stone is bezel set and the blue stones are prong set.The Czechs used brass almost exclusively for their costume jewelry.

1-1/2in.X 1/2in.

Condition is Good;small ding in the metal at one end of the central rhinestone.It is tarnished,so it needs to be polished.

Circa 1870s.

Condition/Grade:Very Good;wear to edge and corners of cards -- doesn't affect the photographic images.

Cabinet cards are studio photos mounted on heavy card stock and printed with the studio's name and address.They first appeared in 1863.Their popularity peaked 1875 to 1895.Earlier ones were done in brown tones.Late period cabinet cards were done in black and white tones.They measure 4-1/2in. X 6-1/2in.They were usually portraits,but infrequently other subjects.

A nice addition to your antique/vintage photograph collection.Great for mixed media,collage and altered art.
