My sweet little water maiden, a brighter companion I challenge you to find. She always seems to be perky and a bit pert, just the ticket when you are feeling a bit down. Do you or someone you know have a place in your life for a sweet creature who asks nothing of you but a place to hang and bring you cheer?

Hinewai is 3 ¾” (9.5cm) long and 2” (5cm) from the back of her crest to her snout.

Akashdeep's family is in charge of creating the twinkle of lights on the surface of water. They capture sun beams and star light to use when the sun goes down to make that magical shimmer and sparkle on the surface of the water. My friend is not yet big enough to handle the big jobs, at the moment his job is to find the right person and place a twinkle in their eye.

Akashdeep is 2 ¼” (6cm) long from crest to tail, and 1 ¾” (4cm) from the back of his crest to his snout.

I think little Gretta must be sitting down after a very energetic round of fairie dancing. Was she doing a dance to encourage spring and the birth of new plants and flowers or just celebrating a day of feeling really good or to cheer herself or someone else up? Maybe a bit of all of those and maybe for some other reason she just has not revealed to me. What I am sure of is that she will bring a bit of color and joy into someone's world, all she needs is for someone to adopt her and welcome her sweet face into their lives.

Bold and elegant are seldom used to describe the same thing, but they both work for these earrings. The generous length of these elegant pearl, crystal and silver earrings allows for a lot of swing. The playful movement of these earrings is sure to catch many an eye. I love the subtle coloring of these freshwater pearls, the iridescent shimmer over the lilac blues and white are set off with a touch of sparkle provided by the Swarovski crystals. Dedwyn is a scholarly fellow. His area of expertise is mostly trees, but his knowledge of general plant lore is highly respected among the fae community. When in the right mood he will happily lecture for ages on the minutiae of the life of the birch tree, his personal favorite topic. Come to think of it that may be why his legs have taken on the look of birch bark. This odd creature was inspired by the grotesques and marginalia images in medieval illuminated manuscripts, and the creatures that inhabit many of the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch.

This is not a print it is the product of my hands, painted with Winsor & Newton gouache on Arches hot press watercolor paper.

The image is approximately 2 1/2" (6cm) x 2 1/2" (6cm); the frame is 4" (10cm) x 4" (10cm). It will stand on a table or shelf adding a touch of whimsy and humor to any room it inhabits.

Bringer of light, bringer of joy, bringer of comfort, there are so many things that sweet Crisiant may bring with her. Her endearing face imparts a sense of peace while the sparkle in her eyes makes you think there is something more there as well. What do you see? What might she bring to you, or to someone you love?

We are undecided why Crisiant has metal wing with gears, and a halo largely composed of gears. Is she a junior angel who has not yet earned her wings but is substituting as a light bearer? Her steampunk inspired wings may be the trainee wings for those who have yet to earn their own. I am sure that anyone looking at her long enough could come up with as many questions or explanations and enjoy the process in doing so.

Crisiant is approximately 9” (24cm) tall and 4” (12cm) wide from hand to hand.

Her steampunk inspired lantern was carved and painted by my mother Dorothy and I embellished it further with watch gears.

Dragon Wings, necklace, pearls, agate, garnet, amber, peridot

Inspired by the pendant of “dragon veins agate” this necklace would be an inspired choice to warm up many an outfit on a cold day.

I braided three strands of mixed beads to create the body of the necklace. Each strand is made up of a richly colored mix of pearls in white, peach, lime and sage green, burgundy, and a few butter yellow. In addition to the pearls there’s a sprinkling of gold plated beads and a generous mix of garnets, amber, citrine, peridot and carnelian.

The necklace is 20” (cm) long; the pendant adds 1 ¾” (4.5 cm)

Poor little Higwort has no one to love him, he's afraid he's just too ugly to the general public. I personally find him to be so ugly as to come back around to cute again. Inspired by the illuminations of Joris Hofeneagle (a 16th century Flemish painter) I've started a series of grotesque faces of which Higwort is the first to be completed.

As we searched for a name for this pair of earrings my daughter thought that it looked a bit like a silouhette of a prehistoric goddess figure, and I had to agree.

Kivi, has a kind soul, which makes her a bit misunderstood within the troll community. She has extra long arms which her brothers keep telling her should be good in a fight, but she insists that they are much better for reaching out to offer love and kindness. Like the shimmer of butterfly wings the patches of iridescent dichroic glass plays with light every time you move your head. The greens, blues and even a touch of violet twinkle from the depths of the black glass beads these earrings. Berle, my charming sea friend has announced that he is looking to broaden his horizons. Deep teal and soft as butter, he just calls out to be touched. I love the gentle shimmer of pearls, and the mysterious color shifts of iris blue pearls is my favorite of all the pearl colors. These earrings work well with neutral colors, cool colors and make a lovely accent against warm colors, and will effortlessly take you from day to evening.

When are flowers not a good idea? In the dark days of winter they remind you of longer days with bright colors and warm sun, in the dead of summer they display themselves with the exuberance of color matched by nothing else in nature. Well, maybe fairies come close on occasion, but Aoi herself is not the most colorful of the fae, so she has decided that she'd deal with that situation by adorning herself with this over the top blossom.

She is 8" (20cm) tall (including the flower) and 3 3/4" (9cm) wide.

Goblin babies need some love too. Lotem sits waiting patiently (a rare thing among babies of any variety, especially among Goblins) for someone to pick him up. I may be wrong but he looks like what he really wants is a cuddle.

Lotem is 4 1/2" (11cm) tall (seated) and 5" (12.5cm) wide (hand to hand).

No ordinary seahorse this, in a display of his colors, Koukakala may have gone a bit over the top when having his “hair” done. Sure to attract the attention of other seahorses or people who encounter him, he always makes me smile.

Measuring the body of the sea horse he is 3 ¾” (10cm) long, and 1 ¾” (5cm), add another 2” or so to account for the marabou.

Have you ever gazed into the depths of the sky as night is coming on? Those blues can be so deep you feel you could almost reach out and touch them, swim in them or paint with them.

Some of that color has been captured by mother nature in the form of lapis lazuli. These drop shaped lapis beads are a tantalizing ultramarine blue with golden speckles and tiny veins catching the light. To further accent those bright sparks I've added gold filled beads. They swing playfully from gold filled shepherd's hook earwires.

Once upon a time in a land not so like (or is that unlike?) our own, there were people who used steam to generate their power. Like us they yearned to fly, and found a way, yet they never invented a jet engine. Imagination can take you almost anywhere and anywhen, where will yours take you next? Luckily for Inas their fae, like ours, can fly using their own steam. Will she fly to you? I wonder...

Inas is my first Steampunk inspired fairie, her attire is permanently attached to her, as are her accessories. Some of the gears have serrated edges and would not be appropriate for small children to handle.

She is approximately 9 ½” (24cm) tall, and 2 ½” (6.5cm) across the shoulder (slightly puffed sleeves) her skirt wants to be about 7” (17cm) across, but will fold up smaller or spread wider depending on how she is displayed.

I don't know about you, but I'd love to be able to get in to that position, without being treated for a broken back afterwards. Eloisa rejoices in her ability to bend so far. Some of us hide our light under a bushel, not Aydan. She is a firey spirit who brightly proclaims her personality to any and all who come near her. No one will confirm this, but I think she is really a sun spirit that has been sent here to earth to bring some of her own warm personality to those of us who need a little warmth and a little more light and color in our lives.

The trolls who have taken refuge with me all seem to be of the nonviolent, peace loving types. They were being shunned by their more common less pleasant brethren. Little Phouf, is ALWAYS having a bad hair day. Normally brownies live to be helpful, I can't tell if Phouf just never takes time to fix his own hair, of if he likes it that way, or if someone has angered him and instead of turning into a boggart and becoming malicious he just redirected his frustrations into his hair. What ever his story he's just adorable and waiting for a home to call his own.

He measures approximately 2 1/2" (6.5cm) from head to toe (add roughly another 1 1/2" or 3cm for the hair), and is 1 1/2" (3cm) wide.

Like the other brownie dolls he is all handpainted, the base color is beige and the purple attire is a mix of lumiere fabric paints.

This little guy is one of the guardians of the forest. His favorite trees are evergreens, I think it’s because he likes to play hide and seek and they give him the best hiding places. Whether or not you are looking for someone to play games with or you have a forest that needs his assistance he is good company. He makes no demands on his companions, but is always ready to listen and offer his own brand of comfort.

I have to admit Yousuke is one of my favorite seahorses. At first, his sparkly exterior made my kids think he was a show off, but he seems to be content to quietly watch and wonder. This lariat (or rope) style necklace was inspired by watching my kids string popcorn and cranberries to make a garland for the Christmas tree.

It is approximately 44" 112cm long.

The popcorn of my kids garland has been translated into white pearls, the cranberries are here represented by garnets and dark cherry pearls, gold filled round beads provide an extra twinkle and gleam.

Garnets are the birthstone for January, pearls are the birthstone for June.

A little dark, and a little girlie this wee pixi would rather just hang out than flit about in the wild. She can't deny the dark side of her nature, yet her love of flowers does seem to creep up on her. She hopes to find a human soulmate who will adopt her.

Kawena'ula, an unusual seahorse, he seems to be glowing with the colors of fire, or maybe he is simply reflecting the last rays of the setting sun. How ever you care to describe him, he will certainly stand out in any setting.

Kawena'ula is 4 1/8" (10.5cm) from the top of his crest to the bottom of his tail, and 2 1/2" (6.5cm) from the tip of his snout to the back of his crest.

Inspired by the colors of the forest, these earrings feature cultured pearls in dark cherry and iris green, they are accentuated by a copper roundelle, a peridot colored Swarovski crystal and are finished off with a copper swirl.

Luminous as a pearl Greetja will brighten even the darkest day.
