The only thing better than a beautiful sunset is to share it with a flock of canvasback ducks. I saw these ducks flying along the banks of Lake Barkley. Looking for a place to settle in and rest for the night you can almost feel them hesitate as they spot me watching. This was one of those moments that had to be captured in a painting.

The gallery price on this painting is $850.00 Because I don't have to pay gallery fees and commissions I can offer it for a lower price.

Painted in 1990, this was done on 18x24 inch canvasboard with Winsor Newton oil paints. It has a single light coat of varnish.

This substantial wire wrapped bracelet in copper and sterling silver has all the colors in the nebula. Green faceted quartz briolettes matched with rondelle’s of aquamarine and rose, along side the smooth crackle quartz in purple and aqua are the base of this bracelet. Add a sprinkle of Swarovski crystals in topaz yellow, ruby red and tourmaline pink for sparkle. Finished off with faceted rondelle’s of yellow jade, faceted briolettes of chalcedony and garnet and a lovely faceted yellow citrine gemstone. Finishing touches of silver and copper findings accent this couture look.

Tulip Cube Unique Boro Bead Handmade Dangle Earrings Donated by SassyDLite (Ref. SA116)

Here I'm showcasing more wonderful borosilicate glass creations from one of my favorite boro bead artisans, Dan Echeverry of Cuyahoga Falls, OH (BDBD). I've incorporated Dan's unique multicolored cube beads into this modern dangle earring. These boro glass cubes have green, violet and peach tones - even yellows and reds!

I oxidised or darkened the sterling silver (but not the earwire part that goes through your ear though!). The sterling silver was then buffed for a deep patina effect. The handmade earrings are 100% sterling silver and boro glass. Borosilicate glass differs from regular lampwork in that it is 2-3 times harder than "soft" glass, so this is artwork that you can truly wear for a lifetime! Total length is about 2 inches.
