Altered art mixed media Valentine’s Day mermaid shadow box wall hanging. Whew! That was a mouthful!! This is a wooden shadow box complete with hanger on the back. I have used beautiful artist’s papers, a vintage pin up girl photo, mica flakes, paint, glitter, beads, chipboard letters, sea shells, glass bottle, fibers, stamps, wooden architectural pieces, marbles, etc. This piece measures 8 1/4” x 8 1/4” x 1 ½” and will come to you signed and dated.

Altered Star Valentine's Day Angel - Every Time a Bell Rings An Angel Gets His Wings

Valentine's Day altered star wall hanging. This is a wooden star that I have painted confectionary pink and added some really great vintage inspired ledger paper to. It has a banner that says "Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings - ZuZu Bailey". Two glittered silver bells hang from the bottom along with some pretty pink fibers. I then added a sweet German scrap angel and a fun accordian fold accent with vintage sheet music and tiny tinsel.

This piece measures 12" not including the wire hanger by 9" across and will come to you signed and dated. It would be a wonderful Valentine's Day gift or addition to your own decor.

FREE SHIPPING! Unique, one of a kind, hand dyed vintage slip dress. It started life as a rather plain vintage white slip, but had this beautiful embroidery on the bodice! I have washed and hand dyed the dress this beautiful, rich brown color which also made the embroidery really shine!! I also added a new made to look old rose pin. There is no size tag in it, so measurements are as follows:

Just under the embroidered bust area across the front: 16”
Length from just under the embroidered bust area to hem line: 26”
Underarm to underarm across bust: 17”

The dress has adjustable straps. This would look stunning with a beautiful baby pink shawl and a pair of matching pink heels! This is a one of a kind; you will not see anyone else wearing this dress!

Altered tin can! I have painted this little can sky blue and distressed it for an aged feel, added cute little ball feet and a wire and wood bead handle. Orange and blue scalloped floral papers, a round chip board tag with mini scrabble letters spelling the word "tea" make this a darling little tea storage or gift container! A dried tea bag and coordinating fibers hang from the orange and blue beaded handle for the finishing touch.

Altered Art Trinket Box - Cake Fairy - Whimsical Two Tiered Cake

This adorable altered art cake triket box has a sweet little gal standing on the very top of this two tier “cake” with her basket of flowers that she has been spreading on the cake. The cake tiers are little paper mache round boxes, one pink and one cream colored. The bottom tier is attached to a white repurposed candlestick. I have “frosted” this cake with a piece of 3 ½” wide vintage crochet lace with crystals hanging from it, pink and blue polka dot trim, and lots and lots of flowers with button centers. Everything has been glittered for a sparkly, yummy appearance. Each tier of the cake opens to hold special treasures and trinkets! Altered Martini Glass Sewing Set - As Seen in Somerset Life Magazine

Altered martini glass sewing set! This set was originally made for the Martini Magic challenge which is published in the (Jul/Aug/Sep 09) issue of Sommerset Life Magazine. My sewing set was chosen and is published along with some other beautiful altered martini glasses, I am now offering them to you!

Each glass has been decoupaged inside with sewing pattern tissue paper. I then added a pincushion made from vintage pink and green floral and striped fabric in one, eyelet trim around the rim of the glass and a little eyelet loop for a small pair of sewing scissors. The other glass holds a collection of vintage and new white buttons (you could also store thread, embroidery floss, etc. in it). It has eyelet trim as well and both glasses have measuring tape ribbon tied in a pretty bow around the stem of the glasses.

These measure 7" tall x 4 1/2" in diameter. Wouldn't they be a sweet gift for a special friend?

Altered Clipboard - Note Holder

Altered clip board note center measuring 6 1/2" x 11". This clipboard has been repurposed into a darling note holder! I painted the board mossy green then added pink paper that looks like old wainscotting, rose stickers, the word "notes" in swirly pink letters, and 3 coordinating buttons. I then added a stack of white notes and a coordinating green and white polka dot pencil. Vintage seam binding tape in sea green finishes off this darling piece. It has a hanger on the back like most clipboards do so it's ready to hang in your home or give as a sweet gift!

Mixed Media Shadow Box - The Keeper of Dreams

Altered art, mixed media shadow box... "The Keeper of Dreams"... "wouldn't it be great, if we could have a keeper that could guard our thoughts and dreams?" ~ Nellie Wortman

This piece is greated with an old mini crate that I had in my supply stash, paired with a piece of rusty corrugated lawn edging and some wooden drawer pulls for feet, it became a cute little house-like structure. I made a shelf using a scrabble tile rest for my shelf brackets and covered the shelf with vintage book pages. I then fashioned a little gate with some rusty wire and a rusty found object for the latch. Hanging from the latch is a little mica charm that says "keeper of dreams".

The bottom shelf holds two mini books. "Believing in Ourselves" and "Book of Dreams" which is a blank journal for recording all your thoughts and dreams.

Our keeper of dreams is a sweet little girl from my personal collection of vintage photographs. She is perched in a tiny peat pot which I have painted cream with white polka dots and added a vintage lace and button trim. This sweet little girl has soft "warm & natural" fleece wings that have been stiffened and sprinkled with mica glitter. There is part of a poem by Langston Hughs.

A bird's nest with two little eggs rests under the eaves. A vintage drawer pull adorns the top of the box. A twig from my yard, a wooden skeleton key, and a pressed and dried yellow rose are just a few more of the treasures found on this piece.

This shadow box measures 13" tall x 8" wide x 5" deep and will come to you signed and dated. I created this piece with inspiration from Nellie Wortman's piece "The Keeper" in Volume 3 of Somerset Home magazine.

Unique altered book mixed media collage created from the insides of an old book! The pages have all been glued together to create a sturdy canvas for my house collage. This little house is created from a page from a vintage Dot and Jim book (cousins to Dick and Jane perhaps?!). I added a vintage drawer pull for a door knocker, an old #2 house number, a sweet little birds nest with pieces of thread and ribbon woven through-out (a resourceful little bird!), vintage buttons, a pink bird and wooden skeleton key as well as pink polka-dot ribbon for a hanger and a vintage pink ribbon bow. On the sides of this new canvas, I have written a portion about building a house from the Dot and Jim book!

Altered Art Captured Fairy - Sexy Pin-up Fairy - Mixed Media

This is a captured fairy for you to adopt! She is not your ordinary fairy though... she is a sexy pinup fairy! She comes inside this black metal fairy cage which sits atop a cardboard box (it is a decorative box only, it does not open) covered with cute bird cage paper, paint, and hand drawn details. The box has scalloped edges and cute little pink ball feet. Inside the cage your new fairy is very comfortable with her soft moss bedding and she even has a swing to sit on. The little door is tied with pink and green fibers and a little chipboard dress... perhaps for your fairy to have a change of clothes?! The top has beautiful silk roses and leaves along with two tags tied with the same pink and green fibers as the door.

Altered Art Captured Woodland Fairy - Original Mixed Media and Found Objects

This is an adorable captured woodland fairy! Don't worry though, this little darling has a little piece of her woodland home right inside this bird cage and she seems quite content! There is a bed of soft green moss with sticks, leaves, and a tiny pinecone along with two red mushrooms. The top of the birdcage as well as the bottom have beautiful roses and greenery. And look, this little fairy's butterfly friend has stopped for a visit!

Her home is created with a repurposed shabby candle holder with chippy and rusty white paint and a wire birdcage ornament... the perfect size for this tiny little sprite! She has small velvet leaf wings and is holding a gold watering pail charm. The base is tied with green and pink fibers and has a tag that says "Specimen #1".

Recycled Clutch Purse

Thank you for visiting C’est Magnifique! For your consideration, I have created this unique recycled clutch purse using plastic grocery bags and vintage ephemera! Yes, you heard me right... plastic grocery bags!!! The plastic bags were fused together, quilted, and then sewn into the clutch purse while adding vintage sheet music ephemera pieces. I also added a magnetic snap clasp and a flower made from a vintage quilt piece and red button.

This clutch measures 5" x 10" and is actually quite sturdy due to the fused plastic bags which create a very pliable and flexible material.

Religious Mixed Media Collage - Altered Mary and Baby Jesus Canvas - SALE

This altered canvas collage started out as a rather plane-Jane canvas with Mary and the baby Jesus. I have painted Mary's dress and robe and added embroidered details around the edges of her robe and the halos, texturized the whole piece, added some gold leafing and then waxed the whole piece and overlayed it with a transparency. The word "LOVE" is from a vintage book and I added a little vintage cross and a piece of moulding along the bottom to give it an architectural feel.

This piece measures 7" x 8" and will come to you signed and dated.

This beautiful altered picture frame/wall hanging is ceramic, painted a charcoal color. This mermaid is made from a Vargas pinup girl that I have made into a beautiful sea nymph.

I have added a coral colored shell at the top and 3 metal starfish and seashells, glass marbles, and charms at the bottom. Fibers and more charms were added around the oval part of the frame and hanging from the top of the frame, then everything was glittered for that mystical, magical, fantasy feeling!

This piece measures 12” tall x 8” wide, comes with a saw-tooth hanger on the back, and will come to you signed and dated.

Altered Cabinet - Little Key Keeper Mixed Media Assemblage

This cute "Little Key Keeper" cabinet is painted blue with cream crackle finish and then antiqued for an aged look. Vintage sheet music and book pages were then added along with some fun striped paper! The door has a key shaped cut-out and I've added a real key that I painted pink and embellished. A darling little girl is guarding the door and a sweet little bird watches from above!

Open the door and there is another sweet little girl holding a tiny key charm! There are 3 hooks to hang your keys. This piece can sit or hang on the wall. It measures 9" tall x 8" wide x 2" deep and will come to you signed and dated.

This upcycled tube top is made from two men's repurposed T-shirts! This tube top is reversible, green with white lettering, "I'm a Keeper" on one side and white with orange lettering, "Easily Distracted" on the other! It has elastic at the top edge to hold it snugly in place. This reversible tube top is one-of-a-kind, none of your friends will own one like this!

This fits my 19 year old daughter who wears a size medium t-shirt (that's her modeling the top). Measurements are as follows:

Altered Martini Glass - Jewelry Holder

This unique jewelry holder is made from an altered martini glass! Have a friend or relative who loves martini's and loves jewelry? Well then, this is the perfect gift for her!

The inside and bottom of the glass have been decopaged with cute blue and brown crown paper, this is where you can store necklaces, bracelets, etc. For your earrings, I added a piece of screen all the way around the lip of the glass, you just hang your earrings in the screen! The screen is trimmed with cream colored loopy trim and the top is trimmed with fabric and more cream trim. A little blue velvet bow adds to the charm.

Where can I put my rings you ask? Well, at the bottom of the stem of the glass is a silver ring which opens so you can slip all your rings on. A blue and brown polka-dot bow finishes it all off!

Mixed Media Altered Cabinet - Fragile - Fairy Home

This one of a kind altered art piece is made from a little wooden cabinet (15" x 7 x 4") that I have painted a beautiful robin's egg blue. I added a piece of screen in the door, stamping, vintage book pages, and beautiful artist's papers to the inside and out. The front of the cabinet says "Fragile" which is how you should treat this sweet little boy fairy when you care for him in his new home. There is a little altered drawer at the bottom to store all his toys and needful things. The top shelf is trimmed with scalloped vintage book pages, this is where this little fairy's nest is with some little button "eggs", moss, and twigs. Down on the 2nd shelf is his play area with porcelain hands for him to sit in. This area says "Handle with Care".

There is also an altered puzzle piece hanging from vintage seam binding on the handle of the door which says "delight" which is how you will feel when this little fellow arrives at your home!

Altered Glass Bottle Art - Altered Art Mixed Media Assemblage by Tania

Thank you for visiting C’est Magnifique! For your consideration, I am offering this altered glass bottle assemblage! This is a tall glass bottle with a cork stopper that I frosted and then altered. I have added a piece of vintage book page and a piece of tattered old lace on top of that. At the neck of the bottle is a piece of a vintage baby shoe which I have added pink eyelets to and laced up. I then added a rosary cross hanging from the lacing, wire, and strips of old fabric here and there. The top portion of the bottle is encased in wax with a little safety pin poking out. It measures 10" tall x 2 1/2" in diameter at the base.

This is a nice, one-of-a-kind, unique decorative element to add to your vintage decor and will come to you signed and dated.

Thank you for visiting C’est Magnifique! For your consideration, I am offering three of these cute little altered Halloween treat buckets! These are made from a vintage pattern, they have scalloped edges, glittery handles, a fun Halloween charm on each one, and a Halloween tag. Fill them with candy for a sweet treat for someone special (co-worker, special child, friends).

Each little bucket measures 2 1/2" tall not including the handle. Need more? Send me a convo and we can work out the details!

Altered Art Halloween Bucket - Bewitching

Thank you for visiting C’est Magnifique! For your consideration, I am offering this altered Halloween treat bucket! This is a metal bucket which I have given a green crackle finish. I added purple feather trim and big black ball feet along with these two not so "wicked" witches with glittery witch hats, yellow 3D wooden stars, and the word "Bewitching". This bucket measures 8" in diameter x 8" tall and will come to you signed and dated.

This would make a great gift filled with treats for your "witchy" friend or to add to your own Halloween decor.

Set of 6 small Chinese take-out boxes measuring 3" wide at the top x 2 1/2" tall. These are so cute and they are a blank canvas for you to decorate or leave as is! I think they would be cute with something stamped on them and ribbons tied on the handle.

Altered Glass Bottle Art - Altered Art Assemblage by Tania

Thank you for visiting C’est Magnifique! For your consideration, I am offering this altered glass bottle assemblage! This is a tall glass bottle with a cork stopper that I frosted and then altered. I have added a piece of vintage fabric with hook and eye closures, then laced up an old tea stained doily over the top of that for a "corset" look. Strips of old fabric are wrapped with wire here and there, vintage book pages and rusty copper wire were wrapped around the top portion and then it was encased in wax. A wooden lasercut skeleton key and a repurposed piece of vintage jewelry dress it up even further. It measures 10" tall x 2 1/2" in diameter at the base.

This is a nice, one-of-a-kind, unique decorative element to add to your vintage decor and will come to you signed and dated.

Altered Art Assemblage - Beautiful Woman by Tania

Thank you for visiting C’est Magnifique! For your consideration, I am offering this altered art collage assemblage. This was adapted from a pattern by artist Caterina Giglio. This beautiful 1920's flapper woman collage is created with blocks of wood to give the image a 3D effect. It is coated with wax and then layered with a vintage metal picture frame. It measures 10" tall x 7" wide and can be hung on the wall or set on a table or shelf. This item will come to you signed and dated.
