Commission an Original Painting from your photo

I will create a painting featuring a subject of your choice. For example: a person, pet, animal, landscape or your house. All I need are good detailed photographs to work from.

Your painting will be created using professional, artist grade, acrylic paints on canvas stretched onto a wooden frame size 7x10 ins approx (18x24 cms). The painting will continue on the sides of the canvas, so no frame is required (you can of course, add a frame if you wish). Signed BEE on the front and finished with 3 layers of varnish, the canvas will arrive complete with hanger ready to place on your wall. You will also receive a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist, myself, Bee Skelton.

When you pay for your order and send me photos, your commission is fixed in sequence with others outstanding at the time, and your painting will be completed in that order. The artwork normally takes around 2 weeks to complete, but this will vary depending on the number of commissions I have at the time.

STEP 1:
Before buying you are welcome to send me photos for me to assess suitability and discuss your requirements. If the painting is needed for a particular date, a birthday for example, please let me know and I will move heaven and earth, as well as staying up all night, to get the job done.

In the case of a portrait, this listing is for a painting featuring one subject with a simple background. Please contact me for a quote if you would like additional subjects included, or other requirements. I will do everything possible to create the perfect painting for you and your loved ones.

You may prefer an alternative sized canvas, in which case, just contact me for a quote.

STEP 2:
After payment I shall need your selected photographs, preferably more than one, either as digital images by email or as printed photos by post (I will take great care of your photos and return them safely). Please choose high quality photos that show as much detail as possible. In the case of portraits, please ensure they are taken in close-up, have a good facial expression typical of the subject, especially with a clear view of the eyes, which I LOVE to paint so the character of the subject shines through. Shots taken in daylight are best.

STEP 3:
I shall contact you by email before commencing work to discuss details and will also send you images of work in progress from start to completion of your painting.

STEP 4:
A scanned image of your finished painting will be emailed to you and the canvas will be shipped as soon as it has received your approval.

In the unlikely event that you are not completely thrilled with your painting (so far all my clients have been delighted), whilst my bottom lip may tremble slightly, I will keep the painting to add to my portfolio and happily give you a refund.

You can BUY WITH CONFIDENCE, because your satisfaction is so very important to me. Whilst I am confident that you will love your portrait, even so should you not like it when it arrives, if you return it in its original good condition, a refund will be made.

SHIPPING & HANDLING
Your artwork will be carefully protected and packaged, and sent to anywhere in the World. You have a choice which method is used to ship your painting.

The shipping charge shown is for Registered International Airmail, which takes normally between 5 and 21 days depending on where you are. However, for peace of mind you may like me to use a courier service: EMS Datapost, normally takes 3 working days door to door (excluding customs) please contact me for a quote. Tracking number and insurance are included with EMS.

A signature will be required on delivery whichever method you choose.

I crocheted these cute cuffs in a soft grey yarn using mainly shell style stitches and scalloped the edge for a pretty decorative finish. WRIST CUFF BRACELET crochet BUTTONS BEADS wearable art

I created this intricate Wrist Cuff Bracelet using free-form crochet, hand stitched applique and hand-painted embellishments.

I used cotton threads, pure silk fabric in ivory and subtly shot terracotta/purple, tiny printed cotton patches, metallic/irridescent glass beads,vintage buttons and other embellishments. There are two main motifs, one of which slips through a buttonhole to create the fastening for the bracelet.

Interesting colour pallette: Warm Blue, Peachy Pink, Softest Mellow Yellow, Coffee and Cool Watermelon combine perfectly with the tiny cotton prints in similar colours. I've made and painted some plastic shapes which have been applied to the cotton print and silk features, together with vintage buttons in raspberry, pearl and gilt. All finished off with a miriad of multi-coloured metallic and irridescent glass beads!

The construction of the bracelet is stretchy, which makes it very flexible for fitting wrists of various sizes. If you have any doubt, please contact me with your wrist size and I will be glad to let you know whether it will fit. It is 2 1/2 inches deep approx. (60 cm approx)

A gorgeous one of a kind bag, featuring a raunchy ruffled red rose, handmade stalk and leaf embellishments. It closes with a handmade flower button and is lined with matching ruby red velvet.

The body and handle of the bag has been lovingly crocheted in a soft green cotton yarn. The leaf motifs were created using wood, moulding paste, paint and a protective gloss lacquer. The ruffled rose and flower button are crocheted in red cotton yarn and embellishments include a vintage button from my collection, ruby red crystal beads and gold metallic thread. The handstitched lining was made using a yummy piece of red velvet I've been treasuring for years.
