I am not a distributor, I am only selling off the coats and sheep suits that I have that I will no longer need as I have sold off my entire fibre herd except for TWO sheep. Sheep Suits™ Sheep Covers can be made in two different weights of nylon. Regular Sheep Suits™ are made of 1000 denier nylon and Sheep Suits™ Lite are made of 400 denier nylon. Denier is a unit of measure for the linear mass density of fibres.

The threads for the 1000d fabric used in Sheep Suits™ are approximately 1.5 mm wide and .15 mm thick. The fabric weighs almost one pound per yard so we are talking about heavy duty roll goods. These covers are so robust and resilient to tearing that they will out last any other cover on the market today.

The 400 denier nylon is 2 ½ times less dense than 1000d but still very tough and it has a very slick, smooth feel. Searching for this fabric was at the request of alpaca breeders, the low micron count and loose, open character of alpaca fibre means it is easily crushed and the weight of the 1000d fabric was a problem for some breeders. Duff House Walk, Scotland is a 5x7 Glossy Photograph taken by Charles Morrison in May 2004.

Duff House is a stately home in the Northeast of Scotland between Banff and Macduff on the banks of the River Deveron. This photograph was taken of one of the paths on the wooded grounds that surround the mansion. It leads from the old family gothic style mausoleum back to the main house. The bluebell flowers in the photograph are a protected flower in Scotland.

Our Auntie Mary works at the house in the gift shop, we have visited it numerous times, and it is only about 12 miles from our home in Cuminestown, Scotland.

This photograph has been an inspiration for a number of my paintings.

Thunder Horse Tow-out is a 8 x 10 Glossy Print of a Photograph taken by Charles Morrison in April of 2005.

The photo was taken when the Thunder Horse platform was being towed to its location in the Gulf of Mexico. At the time, Thunder Horse was the largest floating platform in the world. You can see the three tug-boats that were towing it out in the photo. The platform only had auxiliary power so there are very few lights and all the cranes are down giving it a rather lonely feel.

The ship that I was on, Toisa Perseus, was leaving the location at the time and did a complete circle around the platform just as the sun was setting.

OOAK Angora Merino Scarf, Hand Wove, Hand Spun and Plyed by Alba Ranch

This is a One of a Kind (OOAK) White and Grey Speckled Hand Spun and Plyed, Hand Wove Scarf by Alba Ranch.

* 75% merino and 25% Eve (angora bunny)
* hand wove
* hand spun and plyed
* 45 inches long
* 5 inch fringe on each end (overall length is 55 inches)
* 8 inches wide

The yarn is from Eve my Blue Angora Bunny, and White Mama a white merino sheep. The White Merino was machine spun in to a very fine 2 ply lace weight yarn. I spun Eve into a single ply that is thick and thin and plyed with the merino to even the yarn out a bit without going too heavy on the yarn for my weft. I used the 2 ply lace weight merino for the warp. I wove the scarf on my Rigid Heddle loom and seriously enjoyed making this first scarf from my OWN bunnies!

I included a photo of Eve before I plucked her to get that lovely fleece for this yarn. The Scarf is a white and grey speckled scarf that is very interesting from both colour and texture. The bunny fleece is very soft.

Wash this scarf in cold water with no agitation to avoid felting. Dry flat.

We are a smoke free home, but we do have dogs. They did not wear or play with the scarf and didn't get to pluck the bunny either!! (All colours and sizes are depicted as best as my tape measure, camera, computer and monitor will allow.)

2 ply lace weight dark rich fawn kid mohair yarn. Approximately 400 yards per 4 oz skein, (1500-1750 yds per pound of fleece.) Lengths and weights are approximate.

Great for Knitting, Weaving, Crocheting and giving as gifts to that crafter that can be hard to buy for! I have 2 skeins available as this was a custom order with the mill! The skeins are being sold separately, so the price is for one skein. You can purchase more than one.

This yarn comes from "Dillard" and "Texas", 2 red angora goats. This yarn is NOT a blend, it is entirely from these 2 goats. It is their first kid clip and is ultra soft. It has been spun at a slightly heavier twist and weight than my other listings of 2 oz kid mohair, so I believe that it could be used for warping on a loom as well.

I did not shear these angora goats myself. The fleece was sent out to Shepherds Mill to be processed into the lovely yarns that you see as I didn't want to spend tons of time spinning as I really wanted to weave! there is a pattern here ...weave...weave...weave...hahah

OOAK Crochet shawl, heavy scarf, novelty yarn, Purple Fusion, Vintage Leaf Brooch by Alba Ranch

Purple Fusion is OOAK lovely hand crocheted shawl that could also double as a very wide and heavier scarf.

I used 3 different novelty yarns in varying thickness, texture and style to create this lovely shawl. One of the yarns is a bouclé sort, one is a flat ribbon yarn, and one is a sparkly fun fur type of novelty yarn. I used a open lace stitch to crochet this so it is light enough to wear as a thick scarf as well as an evening wrap. This has given it a very interesting feel and look. Included with the shawl is a 1970 Vintage JJ - Jonette Jewelry Leaf Brooch Pin with purple glass rhinestones bought from Etsy and BENMICHAELVINTAGE.

The shawl is 15 inches wide and 67 inches long plus 6 inches of fringe on each end for an over all length including fringe of 79 inches. I would recommend washing in by hand in cool water and laying flat to dry.

This shawl was recently exhibited in the Wearable Treasures Art show in Canon City, CO which is where some of the photos were taken while on display.

We are a smoke free home but we are dog friendly. The dogs did not wear the shawl though as they would much rather enjoy pulling off all the fringe. They were not allowed to do that either! Colours are depicted as best as my camera, monitor and computer will allow. The stand and white blouse are not included. The brooch is included.

This yarn IS a blend custom made for me by the mill to use various fleeces from my animals together for an interesting yarn. I think that this yarn is extremely soft. I have 1.2 pds of black llama fleece for sale. This is raw, unskirted fleece that I hand sheared myself from Ace the llama. (size and weights are approximate and colours are depicted as best as cameras and monitors will allow.)

Picture him being difficult, me being determined, him cushing, me standing astride and you might see how I ended up on my lama's back facing his butt backwards with 1.5 ft long hand shears in my hands!!! You will not see this fleece offered again, as I have not nor will I ever shear him again!

The staple length varies as I was jumping around as much as he was. some of the lenghts are 7-8 inches in length. His fleece is excellent for felting, hand spinning into bulky yarns for knitting and crocheting.

We are a smoke free home, but we do have dogs. They however didn't like the llama so were not near his fleece when it was attached to him or in the bag!

OOAK Kid Mohair Scarf, Hand spun, woven, Sammi Brown by Alba Ranch

Sammi Brown is a OOAK hand spun, hand woven kid mohair scarf from two of my angora goats.

Sammi is the white mohair that was raised here on this ranch. His mohair was spun at Shepherds Mill in Kansas to get a lovely strong 2 ply light fingering yarn that I used for the warp on my loom.

Brownie is the hand spun soft fawn mohair. I processed it here on the ranch myself and spun it up several years ago when I was not as uniform of a spinner. So Brownie's yarn has over spin, extra twists, fat and thin bits in it to give a very unique texture and character. I have to really concentrate to get that these days! Brownie was one of the first angora goats that I lost to an illness and after nursing her for 4 weeks, her fleece was rather important to me. I wanted to make something nice from her memory.

The scarf is 8 inches wide x 51 inches long plus has 6 inch fringe on both ends to make an over all length of 63 inches. It should be hand washed in cold water with minimal agitation and laid flat to dry. Do not dry it in a dryer or use hot water.

The scarf was recently exhibited at the Wearable Treasures Art Show in Canon City, CO.

OOAK Scarf, Hand woven, kid mohair, Winter White, soft, luxurious by Alba Ranch

Winter White is OOAK 100% kid mohair scarf that I hand wove on my loom. It is made from first clip kid mohair grown here on Alba Ranch. It is beyond soft, luxurious and wondrous to the touch.

The scarf is 11 inches wide and 62 inches long, with 8.5 inches of fringe on each end. (overall length would be approximately 79 inches including the fringe.) It contains 10 ounces of this fantastic Kid Mohair so has a nice hefty weight to it while still having a light feeling for wear. It is a substantial scarf with the material involved and took me many months to weave as the yarn is a 2 ply lace weight. This scarf was recently exhibited in the Wearable Treasures Art Show in Canon City, CO.

I sheared the kids myself that donated the mohair for this fine scarf. The yarn was sent out to Hanakee Mill to be spun into the very fine luxury 2 ply lace weight yarn.

Recommended washing is by hand in cold water, very gently squeeze the water out without wringing and lay flat to dry. Do not spray perfumes or body sprays on the scarf as this may change the colour. Do not dry in a dryer.

Our home is smoke free but we are dog friendly. They did not get to help with the weaving but did watch me for many many months wondering why I kept persevering. Colours and sizes are depicted as best as my camera, monitor, computer and tape measure will allow. The stand and white blouse are not included.

"Pastels" is OOAK shawl that is hand crocheted out of Acrylic and mohair blend yarns in various pastel colours. (Gray, pink, lavender, white, and mint.) It is closed with a sweet vintage Heart Shaped Pearl Pin bought on Etsy from our very own BENMICHELVINTAGE.

The Shawl measures 48 inches by 32 inches plus 5 inch fringe on both ends. It is a delicate open lace stitch that can be worn for fancy occasions or used to dress up a casual outfit. Although an open stitch, the mohair blend lends a nice warmth and fuzzy feel to the shawl. It would make a lovely present for a lucky person.

"Pastels" has recently been included in the Wearable Treasures Art show in Canon City, CO.

Hand crocheted fuzzy warm thick scarf. Made from Lion Brand Yarn, Fun Fur Tropical (100% polyester) and a dark purple yarn that would be a standard medium worsted yarn (100% acrylic). On occasion I like to use some funky fuzzy yarns from the store, rather than yarns only from my own animals.

Yarn packages say it is machine washable and dry able, but I would personally recommend washing by hand in a warm water and hanging or lying it flat to dry.

OOAK dark cream Kid Mohair and White Lincoln Long Wool Scarf.

I hand wove this on my new loom. The Kid Mohair was machine spun at Hanake Fiber Mill into a 2 ply light lace/fingering weight yarn. I than plyed three balls of this yarn on my spinning wheel to essentially make a 6 ply kid mohair yarn that is still only marginally heavier than the Lincoln Long Wool fibres. I used White Lincoln Long Wool for my warps which was machine spun at Shepherd's Mill. This scarf was recently exhibited at the Wearable Treasures Art Show in Canon City, CO.

Finished size is approximately 7.75 inches wide and 53.5 inches long. Hand wash in warm or cold water, with a small amount of soap. Gently squeeze, without agitating. Rinse and lay flat or hang over a towel to avoid drying marks. Do not machine wash or machine dry. Do not hand wash in hot soapy water with agitation. Hot, Soap and Agitation = Felting.

We are a smoke free home but we do have dogs. The dogs however, are not allowed to play tug of war with the scarves. Model head, wig, stand and white blouse not included. (All sizes are approximate and colours are depicted as best as my camera and computer monitor will allow.)

Pale Champagne Merino Mohair Blend Yarn, 2 ply by Alba Ranch

2 ply lace weight 70% white merino 30% faded red mohair blend yarn. The colour sort of defies description and the camera did not do it justice. I think that a pale champagne might be as close of a guess as to what to call the colour. :-) Approximately 400 yards per 4 oz skein, (1500-1750 yds per pound of fleece.) Lengths and weights are approximate.

Great for Knitting, Weaving, Crocheting and giving as gifts to that crafter that can be hard to buy for! I have 2 skeins available as this was a custom order with the mill. The skeins are being sold separately, so the price is for one skein. You can purchase more than one.

This yarn comes from 2 White Merino x Rambulette ewes named Cloud and Purity, and several of my faded red Angora goats. This yarn IS a blend custom made for me by the mill to use various fleeces from my animals together for an interesting yarn. I think that this yarn is extremely soft and I can't wait to start working with it.

I did not shear these sheep as they won't stand still for me to clip them by hand like my angora goats do. The fleece was sent out to Shepherds Mill to be processed.

Cherry Fire is (OOAK) one of a kind Cashmere Crochet Open Lace Scarf by Melisa K. Morrison of Alba Ranch.

This 100% Cashmere Scarf was hand crocheted by me in a lovely open lace stitch. I used a lace weight cashmere and a size L/8mm crochet hook.

The scarf measures 68" long x 14" wide (approximately) and is just a smidge under 2 ounces in weight. It will be exceptionally warm and luxurious feeling yet feel so light weight that you will want to check you are still wearing it!

The colour of this scarf is Cherry Fire! and it is RED, RED, RED!!! I hand dyed it with an acid dye to achieve this lovely colour.

It must be washed in cold water and laid flat to dry or hung over a railing with a towel beneath it to avoid marking the material. Do NOT use heat on it to dry it or wash it, as soap heat and agitation will felt it as well as change the colour.

(All sizes and colours are depicted as accurately as possible with scales, electronic devices, cameras and computer monitors.)

We are a smoke free ranch, but we do have critters including dogs. They do not get to test drive the Scarves for tug toys and they did not help me crochet this scarf! Border Collies are talented but I have told them to leave mom's stuff alone! sometimes they even listen :-)

Duff House Walk is a 8x10 matted and framed photograph by Charles G. Morrison of Alba Ranch.

Duff House is a stately home in the North east of Scotland between Banff and Macduff on the banks of the River Deveron. This Painting was inspired by a photograph I had taken of one of the paths on the wooded grounds that surround the mansion. It leads from the old family Gothic style mausoleum back to the main house. The bluebell flowers in the painting are a protected flower in Scotland.

Our Auntie Mary works at the house in the gift shop, we have visited it numerous times, and it is only about 12 miles from our home in Cuminestown, Scotland.

This photograph has been an inspiration for a number of my paintings.

Thunder Horse at Sunset is a 8 x 10 Glossy Print of a Photograph taken by Charles Morrison in April of 2005.

The photo was taken when the Thunder Horse platform was being towed to its location in the Gulf of Mexico. At the time, Thunder Horse was the largest floating platform in the world. The platform only had auxiliary power so there are very few lights and all the cranes are down giving it a rather lonely feel.

The ship that I was on, Toisa Perseus, was leaving the location at the time and did a complete circle around the platform just as the sun was setting between the legs of the platform. The colours of the water and the horizon were just brilliant!

I have included a photo of the framed and matted final photograph. I also included a copy of the photo unframed. When photographing a photo that is framed under glass, the camera washes out the colours that are actually there because of the reflection of the glass in light. The copy shows the truer colours of the photograph that you will receive as our eye doesn't wash out the colours because of glass reflection.

Hand Woven on my peg loom. Several skeins of medium worsted store yarn was hand plyed on my spinning wheel to achieve this bulky thick yarn, than hand woven into this beautiful piece of art. The colours are maroon, taupe, and rose pink. This piece is 11 inches wide, half an inch thick and 40 inches long.

I would recommend hand washing in warm water, gently squeezing. Dry flat. Occasional pulling and reknotting the warps closer to the weaving may be necessary after washing if weaving begins to loosen.

"Scottish Wilderness Loch Ness" is a photograph that I took along the road when travelling to Loch Ness on the west coast of Scotland. I popped over this hill and saw this gorgeous display of nature, fields and farming stretched out as far as the eye could see until it ran into Loch Ness. I had to have a photograph and stopped at the side of the road like a tourist to take various shots. This is one that I have printed up and love all the patchwork quilt look to it all. Very typical Scottish Wilderness.

Natural Cream Mohair Rovings in 4 oz quantities. This mohair came mostly from kids to yearlings so the mohair is very soft and luxurious feeling. (Lovely Hand!)

Mohair has a lustre and shine to the rovings and yarns that you will not see in many other fleeces. The yarns spin up with a nice fuzzy feel to them. This mohair is from a mix of several of my faded red angora goats, which when put into rovings comes out a lovely cream colour. It will take dye well and can be used in most projects where white would be used unless you want a STARK white than see my white rovings listing that is for sale. I think this fleece may have a little bit more VM than Sammi's Sept 2009 fleece which is why I priced them both at the same price even though the April 2009 fleece is .8 of a pound more.

You can hand spin it from carded rovings into yarn for crochet or knitting, or you might like to use it for felting or weaving projects.

We are a smoke free ranch, but we do have dogs. They like fleece, but are more interested in it when it is attached to the moving critter. They think fleece in a bag is rather boring!! Colours and weights are depicted as best as my camera, scales, computer and monitor will allow.

The weft is 2 ply light fingering weight 100% merino that I hand dyed with an acid dye to be a Black Cherry. It did not come out the dark purple red of Black Cherry but instead came out a lovely Orangey Red that has gone most gloriously with the natural colours of the warp. In fact, when I saw the colour that the dye turned out, I specially decided to make and use the yarn for the warp to complement it.

The warp is a thick single ply of cream Mohair that I hand spun myself and was later plyed with 1x 2ply light fingering of alpaca mohair blend and a 1x 2 ply light fingering of merino mohair blend yarns. The alpaca used is a red or apricot colour and the mohair was a faded red, these colours combined with the white merino gave it various shades of cream, taupe, fawn, and light brown. These colours went just awesome with the bold orange red of the hand dyed merino.

Extra long strap that can used across the body, shortened or knotted up at the shoulder. Soft medium worsted yarn hand plyed on a spinning wheel to get a very thick yarn, than hand woven on my peg loom, than hand crocheted together into this lovely purse.

This is my OOAK "4 Seasons" wall hanging. I was never going to sell it originally as this is my first major creative work that I did not know what it was until the fibre spoke to me part way through the weaving.

It has been featured in an article in the Daily Record in Canon City, CO and hung in the "Strut Your Stuff" art show at the Fremont Art Gallery in Canon City, CO.

This piece consists of 4 wall hangings that are hung as a grouping. Each one represents a season by both colour, texture and graduations of each of those two points.

Going Clockwise, Spring is at the top followed by Summer, Fall and than Winter. You will see a change in the outer fibre used to frame each piece which matches the seasons as well as the colour and textures in the piece.

I have used many different fibres for these pieces. Lincoln Long Wool both white and coloured, Wensleydale, Teesewater/Cotswold, Alpaca, Mohair both coloured and white, and CVW Romedale. The fibre is lightly washed but still in lock formation, rovings, hand spun yarns, and mill spun yarns from my fleeces. This piece is made up entirely of fibre including the loops on the back to hang the weavings which I hand braided like hair.

I have included a photo of the wall hanging as the group, than an individual closer shot of each season. The colours and sizes are depicted the best that my camera, monitor and tape measure will allow. Each piece was woven on a 32 in loom. The over all size of the piece is determined by how the seasons are arranged but individual piece sizes are as follows: Winter is 33 " x 17"; Spring is 13" x 32"; Summer is 30" x 14"; and Fall is 20" x 30".

We are smoke free ranch but we do have dogs. They did not use these wall hangings as their beds though no matter how much they begged!

Green and Purple Hand Spun and Hand Woven Rug.

This is the first rug that I ever wove first taking bulky store bought yarn and hand plying it on my spinning wheel to make it an even chunkier yarn. Than I hand wove it on my peg loom. The weave is a loose weave and a very nice texture.

The rug is 22in X 38in and weighs approximately 1.6 lbs. It is a lovely mint green and lilac lavender. (All sizes are approximate and colours are depicted as best as my camera and computer monitor will allow.)

I would recommend washing this by hand in warm water, gently squeezing and never twisting. do not agitate or use hot soapy water. Do not machine wash or machine dry. you may need to tighten the warps by pulling on the ends and reknotting closer to the weaving if it loosens up with washing.

Our home is smoke free, but we do have dogs. They have not had the chance to test drive this rug though so it is not dog approved!

Natural Hanging Wall Art.

This piece was made from hand spun mohair which was than hand woven on my peg loom. The stick I found on our mountain in Colorado as well as the quartz rocks knotted into the tails.

The woven portion is about 8 inches wide and 9.5 inches long. From top knot for hanging to bottom tail of the warps is approximately 25 inches. Stick is approximately 19 inches wide.

All sizes are approximate and colours are depicted as best as my camera and computer monitor will allow.)

Our home is a smoke free home, but we do have dogs. They, however, do not get to play with the art. This is one stick they do not fetch!

If it has to be washed, hand wash the weaving in warm water, very gently squeezing. hang to dry. Do not apply heat, hot water or agitation as it will damage the mohair and could result in felting.

This OOAK art yarn is called Christmas Red. It is a vibrant, lovely, eye catching RED!! I am very pleased with this colour as it was my first dying like this and normally I do not like red. This is a Chunky Merino Yarn that I hand spun thick and thin and made a 2 ply yarn from the singles. I washed the yarn and hung it weighted to dry to help set the twist.

This Art yarn is very soft to the touch. It is from a white merino ewe and a light Badger face merino ewe that has some colour and blue ticking to her fleece. The colour is NOT white. It is an off white with bits of darker colour in it giving it a unique twist in both colour and texture. (The two sheep I named White Mama and Moo Cow!)

"Duff House Walk" is a framed 20" x 16", Oil on Canvas Painting by Charles G. Morrison of Alba Ranch.

I have included several other photos of the painting in specific details including one of the painting prior to framing. The photo of the painting in the frame is as the painting is now and how it will be sold.

Duff House is a stately home in the Northeast of Scotland between Banff and Macduff on the banks of the River Deveron. This Painting was inspired by a photograph I had taken of one of the paths on the wooded grounds that surround the mansion. It leads from the old family Gothic style mausoleum back to the main house. The bluebell flowers in the painting are a protected flower in Scotland.

Our Auntie Mary works at the house in the gift shop, we have visited it numerous times, and it is only about 12 miles from our home in Cuminestown, Scotland.

2 ply Light fingering weight. It is a lace weight compared to what I have received back from other mills, yet this mill called it a light fingering. (It was spun close to 2000 yds per pound of fleece.) Approximately 265 yards per 2 oz skein. Lengths and weights are approximate.

The Angora Goats are from our ranch and this particular batch of mohair was even sheared by myself, mostly by hand. I called this Dark Cream as that is the colour once the off whites and faded reds were combined from various kid goats. I have since given up shearing to weave more.

This mohair is from first kid clips and is ultra soft with a soft twist wonderful for knitting or crocheting. It is extremely fine and would not be suitable for warp on a loom unless it was plied again with a heavier twist.

The fleece was sent out to Hanake Fibre Mill to be processed.

Circular Floor Rug , Oval, Soft White Merino Fleece, Crocheted by Alba Ranch

This lovely White Merino Crocheted Rug is just glorious on the feet and toes. I hand crocheted it with a large hook using white merino rovings. I did not spin it, but crocheted the rovings directly from the bag. This has left it with a fluffy texture that is to die for. Your toes sink into it and it is just wonderful. I have one in my bathroom in front of my shower and just love to sink my toes in it when I am getting out of the shower.

It is not completely circular, so might be considered oval, but only just! It is approximately 28 inches across in one direction X 32 inches across the other direction so it is not completely circular or the dimension would be the same in both directions. It is roughly 1 inch thick. It weighs about 1 pd and 2.5 oz. Since it is made from lovely white merino fleece, you can dye this rug any colour that you wish as it should take the colour very nicely.

This could be washed in a front loading washing machine on a very cold cycle, but it must be left to dry by hanging or laid flat. If you wash it in a warm to hot cycle, or put it in the dryer, it will felt. This might not be all bad as many rugs are felted on purpose to give more durability, but you would lose that glorious soft sinking loft feel that is so typical of merino which your toes just crave. It depends on what you wish for with the rug. I personally would hand wash it and lay or hang it to dry. I did wash my rug in a front loading washer on cold and it lost some of the sinking soft feeling but not entirely.

OOAK Shetland Floor Rug , Berry Confetti, Hand dyed, Hand Woven by Alba Ranch

This is a one of a kind (OOAK), hand dyed hand woven Shetland Floor Rug called "Berry Confetti". It is Purple, Blue, Pink, and Magenta...all different colours blended together and the camera does not do the colours justice.

It has been slightly felted to make the Shetland Fleece stronger, and the dye was done with acid dyes so there could be some lightening in colour when it is washed. It must be washed in cold water. Do NOT use heat on it to dry it or wash it, as soap heat and agitation will felt it further unless of course you WANT to felt it more! After washing while wet, the warps can be tightened if they have loosened off any but generally with drying they tighten back up as they are a cotton warp.

The Rug measures 34" x 40" rectangle shaped rug, hand woven on a peg loom from Shetland rovings. Hand dyed to get a variegated confetti of colours.

I do a Fibre Grab Bag in order to allow some spinners the opportunity to try many fibres in various stages of process without having to purchase large amounts till they are sure what they like. I have included some pictures of some of the animals that are on my ranch and will be donating fibre for the grab bags.

Your Grab Bag will consist of at least 5 different types of Fibre at a minimum but I may include more if I have a surplus of one type. (Unless you request specific types and quantities.) I may have Raw, Rovings, lightly washed wool locks or any combination of that. I will send a variety of fibres to give a full learning experience not just the same of everything.

I generally use the 1 quart/1 gallon Zip baggies, but also plastic grocery type bags for rovings as rovings are light and airy. I don't like to smash rovings and because of that they take up too much space for the gallon bags to give a quantity worth working with. I write what it is on the outside for easy reference. I will send a minimum of 1 pound of fibre total with all the samples combined but may include more depending on supplies while they last.

If you have special requests for a particular fibre, I can include more of that one (if available) over others. just convo me as I will make some of them up as they sell, not necessarily have them all pre made so I can sort of customize your grab bag within limits of what I have available.

The sheep and the goats all have coats to wear these days which keeps their fleeces remarkable clean of VM, but some of the kids refuse to keep them on so their fibre is not always as pristine as the adults. Blasted Kids!!

Hand Woven, Hand Spun Natural Sheep Fleece Rug.

I hand spun this on my spinning wheel, than hand wove it on my peg loom. I do not know how many hours went into this as it had to be days worth.

It is from a white sheep fleece that I brought here from Scotland. It can be hand washed in warm water, gently squeezing. Lay flat to dry or hang over a towel to avoid drying marks. Very thick and very sturdy weaving. Do not machine wash, do not machine dry. Do not apply heat and agitation as it will felt the rug.

Natural off white cream colour. Rug is 30 in x 36 in. It weighs approximately 3.4 pds and I got a little warm and toasty with it sitting on my lap while I was writing up this description.

OOAK Candy Floss Pink Hand Spun Hand Woven Sheep Rug.

This fleece I bought in Scotland as rovings on a cone already dyed this candy floss pink colour. It is a sheep fleece. I hand spun the rovings, than hand wove the rug. It was one of the first ones that I did, so my spinning was rough which gives the rug a lot of character. With all the experience of spinning that I have now, I have to really work hard at getting the same effect which gives the rug so much texture.

The rug is 20 inches wide X 28 inches long and weighs approximately 2.5 lbs. It is a very sturdy weaving. A smaller size perfect for near a bath tub, shower door, bathroom sink, bed side rug, office, or anywhere else that you would like a smaller cozy rug. Silver Birch Woods, Loch Ness, Scotland, is a 8x10 Luster Photograph taken by Melisa Morrison in September of 2004.

We were on holiday at a secluded cabin in the woods near Loch Ness in Scotland. I could not get enough of the beautiful woods surrounding the cabin even though we were supposed to be there to see Loch Ness and look for Nessie the Loch Ness Monster. I thought the woods near our cabin were even more beautiful. The colours and richness of the terrain barely come through in the photograph. It was truly a location that you just had to see!

River Launderette, Peru, is a 8x10 Luster Photograph taken by Melisa Morrison in 1986.

I was living at the time in Peru, in a little village called Urubamba. This was a neighbouring village where I saw this comfortable every day scene while on a road trip of the area. I was standing on a bridge over the river while taking the photograph. The women doing their laundry, the boy and girl close together, the man working on his car, and the women selling their wares all combined to create this very pleasing shot! Although I have always enjoyed this picture immensely, this is the first time that I have ever printed it.

Kid Mohair Yarn, Mixed Silver, Luxury, Ultra Soft, 2 ply Light Fingering Weight by Alba Ranch

2 ply Light Fingering weight. It is a lace weight compared to what I have received back from other mills, yet this mill called it a light fingering. (It was spun close to 2000 yds per pound of fleece.) Approximately 250 yards per 2 oz skein. Lengths and weights are approximate.

Great for Knitting, Weaving, Crocheting and giving as gifts to that crafter that can be hard to buy for! I have multiple skeins available. They are being sold separately, so the price listed is for one. You can purchase more than one. Our home is smoke free, but we do have dogs. They, however do not get to play with the yarns :-)

The Angora Goats are from our ranch and this particular batch of mohair was even sheared by myself, mostly by hand. I called this Mixed Silver as it came from a mix of several kid goats. I have since given up shearing to weave more.

This mohair is from first kid clips and is ultra soft with a soft twist wonderful for knitting or crocheting. It is extremely fine and would not be suitable for warp on a loom unless it was plied again with a heavier twist.

The fleece was sent out to Hanake Fibre Mill to be processed into the lovely yarns.

Thunder Horse Before the Storm is a 8x10 Luster Photograph taken by Charles Morrison in July 2005.

Thunder Horse is a platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Here it is shown with the pipelay barge "Balder" just to its left, at Dusk. This was the night before Hurricane Cindy swept through the area. Cindy didn't do any significant damage to Thunder Horse, unlike Hurricanes Dennis and Katrina who were to follow later in the year. Hurricane Dennis ended up costing BP approximately $700 million in lost production time and remedial damage.

I was on the Toisa Perseus when I took this photograph. We were later sent to the UK to mobilize for a job in Mauritania as we could not finish the installation work for BP at that time. It was almost 2 years later that the Skandi Neptune, one of our sister ships, was able to return and finish the installation work that we started.

Delgatie Castle, Scotland is a 5x7 Glossy photograph taken by Charles Morrison in July 2003.

Delgatie Castle is a pink stone castle that was approximately 3 miles from our house in Cuminestown, Scotland. Captain Hay of Delgatie purchased the castle in a sad state of ruin after World War II and undertook an extensive restoration. He lived at the castle until his death when the castle was put into a private trust and opened for visitors. We have visited this castle on numerous occasions and considered it "our" castle as it was so close to our home.

Canal Longboat, England is a 8x10 Luster Photograph taken by Melisa Morrison in the Fall of 2005.

I was standing on a open air patio taking photographs of the river and fowl when this canal longboat came through. I had to have a photograph of it as I thought it was rather interesting. There was such a contrast of light and dark that day which you can see throughout the photograph. It was an outstanding lovely day!

Thunder Horse at Sunset is a 5 x 7 Glossy Print of a Photograph taken by Charles Morrison in April of 2005.

The photo was taken when the Thunder Horse platform was being towed to its location in the Gulf of Mexico. At the time, Thunder Horse was the largest floating platform in the world. The platform only had auxiliary power so there are very few lights and all the cranes are down giving it a rather lonely feel.

The ship that I was on, Toisa Perseus, was leaving the location at the time and did a complete circle around the platform just as the sun was setting between the legs of the platform. The colours of the water and the horizon were just brilliant!

Bluebells at Duff House, Scotland is a 5x7 Glossy Photograph taken by Charles Morrison in May 2004.

Duff House is a stately home in the Northeast of Scotland between Banff and Macduff on the banks of the River Deveron. This photograph was taken just off one of the paths through the wooded grounds that surround the mansion. It leads from the main house to an underground "ice house". The bluebell that are prominent in the photograph are a protected flower in Scotland.

Our Auntie Mary works at the house in the gift shop, we have visited it numerous times, and it is only about 12 miles from our home in Cuminestown, Scotland.

White Bridge, Scotland is a 5x7 Glossy Photograph taken by Charles Morrison in September 2004.

The photograph was taken while we were on holiday in the Loch Ness area on the west coast of Scotland. White Bridge is a bridge that is no longer in use and as you can see in the photograph technically goes nowhere any longer. It generally just has foot traffic these days. It was on the way to Fort Augustus.
