Another beautiful cabochon from metalandstonejewelry...this Biggs Canyon Jasper has so much character you could almost weave a story from it's beautiful picturesque landscape.

A simple setting for this beauty. I wrapped it in a fine silver bezel atop a sterling asymmetrical, notched back plate that has a nice little surprise on the back side. The back plate has a Kokopelli cut-out done by my fabulous hubby and I set a small round turquoise cab on it.

This is a stunning stone...pretty peachy cream stone with a center of very sparkly druzy.

Set in sterling silver with flattened wire and 1 sterling ball.

The band has a nice rope design and is a nice wide 1/4" wide band. Ring has been oxidized for a beautiful blackened finish.

A beautifully matched pair of trillion-shaped chrysoprase cabochons wrapped in fine silver and set atop a sterling silver back plate. I added a hand-forged, textured flower to the top of each setting and the post is on the back of the flower.

The earrings have a darkened patina that has been hand-polished to a beautiful matte finish. You will love how these feel; they are light-weight and a very nice size.

This gorgeous piece of stone canyon jasper (purchased from my buddy Keith over at metalandstonejewelry) has been bezel-set on 2 solid layers of sterling silver with a sterling ball accent.

Two layers of sterling and a nice-weight textured chain makes this a very substantial piece of jewelry. The necklace has been oxidized and buffed to a beautiful organic patina. My maker's mark is on the back; I didn't take a picture of the back because I wanted to provide as many pictures of the face of the stone so you could appreciate its beauty.

Another gorgeous piece of Indian paint stone...this time I have set it in a ring with a very simple design. These stones remind me Southwestern abstract desert/mountain scene.

The finish on this stone is like nothing I have seen on other cabochons - it has a matte finish instead of your normal finish that looks like a reflective pool.

I wrapped the stone in a fine-silver bezel and set it atop sterling silver. I notched the edges of the back plate and the ring band. It has darkened patina that has been hand-buffed to a beautiful matte finish.

TEEPEE CANYON AGATE NECKLACE - Luscious stone

This gorgeous piece of teepee canyon agate has been bezel-set on 2 solid layers of sterling silver; the stone is so pretty, I left the setting simple. I added a round bail to which I soldered a sterling tube setting which holds a small cubic zirconia in a vibrant red-orange that matches the colors in the stone.

Pictures have been taken in various light situations to provide you the most accurate depictions of these stones. NOTE: The Zuni Turquoise (one on the far right) is a beautiful shade of green; when I first saw the stone, I thought it was gaspeite.

LABRADORITE RING - Blue Flash - Oxidized

Labradorites are interesting stones. To see one in passing, it may look like a dark, dull stone but catch it in the light, they can flash, blue, green, yellow, and even lavender. This particular stone has mostly a blue flash with just a touch of green.

I wanted a squarish, abstract design to match the shape of the stone so I used square wire and sterling balls to frame the bezel-set stone. It sits atop a 3/8" wide plain band and the ring has a darkened patina that has been hand-buffed to a nice matte finish, very complementary to the stone.

WHITE TURQUOISE AND STERLING NECKLACE

I know there is a lot of controversy about white turquoise...is it turquoise or not. According to my stone dealer it is the same material that makes up turquoise but it does not contain copper which is the component that turns "turquoise" blue/green. It is often called magnesite but, regardless of what they call it, this is a gorgeous stone...even prettier in person. It has beautiful shades of brown, like you find in true turquoise, and bright white patches.

I set the stone in sterling with 4 sterling ball accents. The bail is square wire that I hammered and soldered to the back plate. The necklace has been oxidized and hand-buffed to a nice matte sheen.

This stone is from Indonesia and is quite rare; it is called tiger coral and you can see why it's named as is...animal prints are so big this year, this would be a great piece to add to your collection.

This is such a nice piece of turquoise - to me the color is the epitome of what I picture when I think turquoise - a rich deep blue with black matrix woven throughout it.

The stone is set in a fine-silver scalloped bezel and set atop a sterling back plate that I stamped with small dots - the ring shank has the same design stamped into it.

The ring shank is a nice thick piece of sterling approx. 3/16" wide. The ring has a darkened patina and has been hand-buffed.

This is such a sweet little stone in a lavender blue gray color with light gray stripes - looks like it has been painted in layers.

I like this stone shape but you don't find too many of them. With this shape, you wrap just the top with the bezel so you have a 360 degree view of the stone. I used a fine silver scalloped bezel and bail and the pendant hangs from an oval rolo link chain. The necklace has a mirror finish but could be oxidized if the buyer prefers.

This is an absolutely beautiful blue agate..it's almost a light blue denim color and would look great with jeans. I set it in fine silver atop sterling with a lacy design.

Beautiful piece of stone canyon jasper wrapped in fine silver atop a sterling back plate and an adjustable sterling band. Not only is it adjustable but it is very comfortable on your finger.

I have wanted to make an adjustable band for quite some time. I love rings but choosing the correct size is very arbitrary so I wanted a design that could be adjusted without destroying the stone...I think I've done it.

The band is 1/8" wide and sits double on the finger but can be adjusted by 2 1/2 sizes. The ring currently measures 7 1/2 and can be adjusted up to a 9. Please put a note to seller to tell me the size you want the ring adjusted to before shipping.

This is a beautiful piece of crazy lace agate wrapped in a scalloped fine-silver bezel. The gold-colored layer sparkles with crystal-like material. I set the stone on sterling and added a floral design to accent the stone. This is a large design and definitely makes a statement.

What a gorgeous piece of lapis this is....don't stare too long, it will hypnotize you. The blue is a darker than the pictures show but I can guarantee you won't be unhappy with it. I test "drove" it yesterday and was amazed at how many comments I received about it....it truly is a beautiful blue.

Set on sterling silver with a fine silver bezel and sterling rope wire around the base...very simple setting, yet quite elegant. This ring would look great on a middle finger.

The band is 1/4" wide with the same rope design on each edge. The ring has been oxidized and buffed for a gorgeous organic patina. I even remembered to put my mark on the back of it.

BIRDS EYE RHYOLITE SLIDER PENDANT with a copper flower

A beautiful piece of bird's eye rhyolite has a brown and tan matrix that makes the gorgeous copper and peach-colored "eyes" really pop. The stem is hammered square wire that holds one of my hand-forged copper flowers with a sterling silver center. The copper flower blends beautifully with the color of the "eyes" in the stone. The pendant has a mirror finish on it.

The stem continues up and is folded over to create a double bail which would accommodate an omega chain or any other larger chain. The chain in my pictures is just a prop - it is NOT for sale.

I want to provide the most accurate representation of my jewelry so I take pictures in various light situations and at different angles. For this design and stone, the photos taken in the shade show the truest color of the background of the stone but the pictures in the sun show the beautiful colors of the "eyes". If you would like to see any other photos, please convo me.

I thought you might like to see the pendant hanging around a neck but I don't have a model so I used my hubby...hopefully it gives you some idea of how it would looks being worn. You could wear the pendant on a short chain or a longer chain - either way I think it would look great.

The palm wood stones remind me so much of animal prints...something you would see on Safari. I have set this one using a fine-silver bezel and sterling back plate. The design reminds me of an African shield...I have notched the back plate and added sterling silver ball accents.

The band is approx. 1/4" wide and I have notched it to match the back plate design.

The ring has been oxidized and buffed for a brushed, organic patina.

STAR OF DAVID STERLING NECKLACE - Engraved and Reversible

This Star of David necklace was designed and engraved by my hubby. He drew the Star and the Hebrew wording, engraved them on sterling silver and then hand-cut the shape of the necklace. The wording on the back is Hebrew for "happiness". The medallion hangs from an oval rolo chain and has a darkened patina that has been hand-polished to a beautiful matte finish. The necklace can also be left shiny if you prefer. This would make such a special gift for Hanukkah.

The necklace can be made to order with your choice of wording on the back...i.e. your name in Hebrew, your birth name, a special date, etc.

Having come from a long line of carpenters, I love beautiful wood and the petrified wood cabochons are no exception. This is a gorgeous stone...it reminds me of some of the burled woods.

The flower has been hand-forged in sterling, textured, and set with a 5mm round carnelian....matches the colors in the cab perfectly.

This is a beautiful stone...very translucent. I set it using sterling silver and a fine-silver bezel. I cut out the back plate to allow the translucence of the stone to show through. The stone is a very pretty blue with almost lavender-colored streaks. The amethyst cubic zirconia blends so well with the colors in the stone. The sterling chain is included.

I am pretty pleased with how this ring turned out; it actually started out as a necklace but just evolved into this unique ring.

The 10mm rutilated quartz is wrapped in a fine silver bezel and soldered to a silver disc that has been shaped into a cup. The bezel is actually soldered into the little cup and the stone then set inside.

I placed the setting on a wide band cut from heavy sterling sheet with holes of different sizes randomly drilled around the band. To the side of the cup setting are two recycled 14K solid gold balls to accent the gold strands in the stone.

SETTING SIZE: approx. 3/4" diameter

RING SIZE: 8 1/2 but will fit more like 7 1/2 because of the width of the band.

BAND WIDTH: approx 1/2"

I have wanted to make a butterfly in sterling for quite some time but did not have stones that worked for the design...until now.

The body of the butterfly is a beautiful piece of rhodochrosite and the eyes on the bottom wings are pink Peruvian Opals. The top wings were hand-pierced by me and the pendant has a beautiful darkened patina that has been hand-rubbed to a beautiful matte finish.

Montana agate...a perfect stone for this beautiful necklace. The stone has been wrapped in a crimped and serrated fine-silver bezel and set on sterling. I have cut the back out and one side of the back plate to resemble a mountain range...every time I see a Montana agate I think of the mountains.

In the 2nd picture, there is a whitish spot in the upper right corner - that is actually part of this gorgeous stone.

The pendant hangs from an oval link chain and has been oxidized and polished to a beautiful organic patina.

This is my 3rd in a new design series called "stone on a stick". This is a lovely piece of tube onyx in brown, rust, and tan.

The stone is set in sterling and mounted on a "stick" of 14g square wire (hammered for texture) with two small sterling balls added as accents.

I oxidized and tumbled until I had a nice patina which seems to have a coppery cast to it matching the stone beautifully.

Visible white spots on the stones are reflections - all pictures were taken outside.

I cut out a design in the back plate to represent undulating mountains like you would find in Montana; this also allows the transparency of the stone to show through. The necklace has been oxidized creating a nice darkened patina.

Montana agate...one of my favorite stones and this one is a beauty. The stone has been set in sterling with a flattened wire and sterling ball accents. To add a little flair, I cut out a ginko leaf on the back.

The pendant hangs from a screw wire cable chain and has been oxidized with a scratch finish.

The necklace is adjustable from 18" (with a yellow aventurine bead) to 20".

A very pretty gold plume agate stone set in sterling with 3 pure 14K gold and 2 sterling ball accents. The stone is a mixture of ivory and gold and the gold accents really complement the stone.

The chain is a petite sterling rolo chain to which I added 14K gold-filled rings to complement the gold in the pendant setting.

This is a beautiful agate, prettier than the pictures show. Also, the gold shows up much better in person than in the pictures.
