I can't help myself, I just love butterflies! In the past few days I have purchased some really beautiful butterfly images here on Etsy. This lovely image came from a talented artist in Israel. Last week as I was walking through the garden a hummingbird decided to perch on a trellis, right next to me, luckily I had my camera in hand. I was able to get three quick shots of her, the last as she was flying away. She even let me get a glimpse of her wings as she waved goodbye! In honor of the hummingbird, I decided to make this bracelet and entitle it "Hummingbird Don't Fly Away!" It always makes me a little "blue" when it is time for them to fly south... This beautiful necklace is made from a vintage brass locket that is more than forty years old, but never used. I embellished it with a lovely handmade porcelain cameo of a smokey gray cat relaxing among the flowers. The Swarovski crystals I used to surround it are a lovely deep blue opal. The locket measures about 1 and 3/4 by 1 and 1/2 inches. It hangs from an off white organza cord that adjusts between 16 and 18 inches. The inside of the locket has space for two pictures. This large peacock feather brooch is really striking! I have created it with one of my original photos which I have made into a watercolor image. The image is a close-up view of peacock feathers, I think the colors are fantastic! It has a very victorian feel. My mind has definetly been on snow lately, we just had quite a blizzard! But I always do find beauty in the snow. I ventured out in the midst of the storm and took this photo. This lovely bracelet is made with Victorian butterfly images. In the Victorian era butterflies were very popular. It was common to catch them and mount them for decorations. I have created this awesome cocktail ring with one of the most unusual buttons I have ever seen. I collect buttons, because they fascinate me...I think they are an art form in themselves. This 1 inch antique button is made of a lightweight substance. It is dome shaped with two different size craters. There are rhinestones in the larger craters and gold glass cabochons in the smaller ones. Some of the craters along the edge are empty so I thought at first they were missing stones, but I have three of these buttons and they are all the same. Peacocks are popular! This ring has been created with one of my original photographs of a beautiful peacock feather. I have set the photo in a lacey round brass setting and covered it with an 18mm clear cabochon. My "Bird on a Branch" rings have been very popular and a little birdie told me that large rings are in fashion right now...so here is a larger version. As usual I have created this ring with one of my original photographs. This shot features a sweet little bird perched in the bare branches in my front yard. I have tinted this image pink and set it in a simple gold plated ring. I then covered it with a clear 25x18mm cabochon. The scalloped setting measures 1 inch by 3/4 inch. The plain band is adjustable to sizes 4 through 10. I also plan on listing some really huge rings so please visit my shop again soon!

I have made these earrings with beautiful vintage LaMode buttons. The buttons are black glass with a delicate silver leaf pattern. I have set the buttons into an antique silver drop setting which compliments the leaf pattern and added lever back ear wires. The earrings measure 1 and 7/8 inches long by 5/8 inches wide.

The image features a skeleton standing in a graveyard with an ominous, dark clocktower behind him (it's too tiny to see, but I'm sure the clock must read 12 midnight!). I have set the images into vintage red brass settings and covered them with clear 18x13mm cabochons. Dangling below are bonelike beads and dark metal balls. The earwires are nickel free antique copper french hooks. These great Halloween earrings measure 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide.

My daughter tells me this style hat is very popular where she attends college, so I thought I would give it a try. I have crocheted this hat in a pretty textured pattern using worsted acrylic yarn. I will make it to order using any color you request. The two shown, are done up in black with varigated color slubs and a soft yellow. I have shown them with and without an accent pin. The black shows a hand crocheted sunflower and the yellow shows a vintage pin, neither are included with the hat. I can make a hand crocheted flower pin upon request. This stylish hat fits the average head and measures 20 to 22 inches around the band.
