Oh, I can't wait for Hanukkah! Cold weather AND cooking up my mom's noodle kugel and latke recipes -- it's the best.

I love sending off fun holiday cards as well, so I made this vibrant and cheerful Hanukkah card design using watercolors and Photoshop.

This is a set of eight folded note cards printed on the front with my dreidel design (blank inside). Each card measures 4.25 x 6 inches (11cm x 15cm) when closed, with ample writing space inside.

The cards are professionally printed using BEAUTIFUL, velvety, 100% recycled 13 point bright white matte card stock. This paper is the only matte coated paper in North America made with 100% recycled fiber and bleached without the use of chlorine compounds.

Comes with eight A6-sized kraft lunchbag-esque envelopes, which are also recycled. One of the photos to the right shows the back of the card, which has my name and a line stating that both the card and envelope are made from 100% recycled material.

I assembled everything together nicely in a clear box, in case you'd like to give it as a gift.

Original Acrylic Ink Drawing/Painting on wood block - 4 x 4 - Acorn in Chocolate Sky

This painting is small, but it's got lots of fun textures and patterns. I made this with a wood block and acrylic inks, including my brand-new glittery ones that I am in love with. The cute little acorn is sparkly, and in the chocolate-colored background there are areas of both opaque color and of transparent washes. I love this contrast! Finally, after painting I hand-sanded over the background and edges a little, so that the wood grain shows through.

This cradled wood panel measures 4" x 4" (10 x 10 cm) and is 7/8" thick. It's super lightweight and ready-to-hang, with a little gap on the back so you can stick it right on a nail, or you can just stand it up on a tabletop. The painted image continues around the sides, and it is signed and dated on the back.

It will ship protected with tissue paper and packing material and placed carefully in a small box, so that it travels to you safely. Enjoy!

The woods really do have eyes...and a moose head with a curled tongue, a hovering bee/butterfly, and trees that sometimes grow horizontally. Who knew? Oh, I love that feeling of running through a field with your arms outstretched, fingertips trailing along the tops of tall grasses...maybe even lying down in the middle of it all and seeing the stalks up close. Actually I don't know if I personally have ever done this, or if I've only seen it in a movie. But regardless! While drawing this, I got the chance to study many lovely photos of lavender and wheat, which brought up these nice thoughts. And that was fun.

I drew and painted this original in pen-and-ink and gouache on an 8" x 6" (20cm x 15cm) piece of lovely cream archival watercolor paper. It has pretty deckled (torn, not cut) edges. Oh, I can't wait for Hanukkah! Cold weather AND cooking up my mom's noodle kugel and latke recipes -- it's the best.

I love sending off fun holiday cards as well, so I made this vibrant and graphic Hanukkah card design using my handy pen and Illustrator.

This is a set of eight folded note cards printed on the front with my dreidel design (blank inside). Each card measures 4.25 x 6 inches (11cm x 15cm) when closed, with ample writing space inside.

The cards are professionally printed using BEAUTIFUL, velvety, 100% recycled 13 point bright white matte card stock. This paper is the only matte coated paper in North America made with 100% recycled fiber and bleached without the use of chlorine compounds.

Comes with eight A6-sized kraft lunchbag-esque envelopes, which are also recycled. One of the photos to the right shows the back of the card, which has my name and a line stating that both the card and envelope are made from 100% recycled material.

Playing around with a new color combination and my brand-new glittery acrylic inks, I came up with this cute little painting on wood block. The silver sky and brown tree are slightly glittery, so this piece catches light beautifully! (Judging by the owl's eyes, I think it is amazed, or perhaps just dazed.)

This cradled wood panel measures 4" x 4" (10 x 10 cm) and is 7/8" thick. It's super lightweight and ready-to-hang, with a little gap on the back so you can stick it right on a nail, or you can just stand it up on a tabletop. The painted image continues around the sides, and it is signed and dated on the back.

It will ship protected with tissue paper and packing material and placed carefully in a small box, so that it travels to you safely. Enjoy!

Oh, I love that feeling of running through a field with your arms outstretched, fingertips trailing along the tops of tall grasses...maybe even lying down in the middle of it all and seeing the stalks up close. Actually I don't know if I personally have ever done this, or if I've only seen it in a movie. But regardless! While drawing this, I got the chance to study many lovely photos of lavender and wheat, which brought up these nice thoughts. And that was fun.

Oh, I love that feeling of running through a field with your arms outstretched, fingertips trailing along the tops of tall grasses...maybe even lying down in the middle of it all and seeing the stalks up close. Actually I don't know if I personally have ever done this, or if I've only seen it in a movie. But regardless! While drawing this, I got the chance to study many lovely photos of lavender and wheat, which brought up these nice thoughts. And that was fun.

This is a set of six folded note cards printed on the front with my acrylic and pen-and-ink illustration (blank inside). Each card measures 4 5/8 x 6 1/4 inches (11 3/4cm x 16cm) when closed, with ample writing space inside.

The design is professionally printed onto satin card stock, and then I cut and folded and assembled each boxed set myself.

Will come with six A6 recycled kraft lunchbag-esque envelopes, and everything all packaged nicely in case you'd like to give it as a gift.

This abstract piece came pretty much straight from my subconscious! I just sat down with my inks and went to town. I love the raindrop pattern and the tiny trees and farm animals. This cute wood panel painting is perfect for any lover of quirky and weird!

This thin wood panel measures 8" x 10" (20 x 25 cm) and comes to you ready-to-hang, with a sawtooth hanger on the back. It's super light (about 1/4" thick), so just hang it right on a nail and it will stay up perfectly, or you can keep it propped up on a tabletop. It is signed and dated on the back.

I love love love David Sedaris, and this is an illustration inspired by one of his New Yorker articles. It was about a time in his 20s when he lived in a rented room in an old North Carolina boarding house filled with velvet furniture, Victrolas, and unusual characters. I was so entertained by the essay that it was a joy to make an drawing documenting all of that quirky Victorian bric-a-brac!
