Clear Glass Garden Totem - TM9

Up for sale is a sparkling clear glass totem for your garden that is made from found glass objects.

Made from four separate pieces of glass, this totem stands at approximately 8" tall and 6" at it's widest point. With the PVC pipe, this totem stands at approximately 23" tall. I spent a lot of time making sure each piece fit together securely as well as being visually appealing.

I use all weather clear glass adhesive to ensure many years of use. Each totem has been cured inside a controlled environment for over 30 days to help prevent condensation and to make sure the glue is properly cured. Each totem is newly put together and has never been displayed outdoors.

Included with this totem is a piece of 15-1/2" long PVC that has been painted hunter green. You will need to hammer a 18" piece of rebar into the ground and slip the PVC over the rebar. The totem will fit securely on top of the PVC. Please note that the rebar is not included but is readily available in shorter lengths at your local home improvement store.

This totem is also stable enough to be displayed inside on your table without the PVC pipe. Would make a beautiful accent piece for your next dinner party.

I try very hard to make sure the glass pieces I use do not have any imperfections in them, but occasionally one slips by me, but it should not detract from the beauty of this totem.

Our birdhouses are specifically designed for proper ventilation and drainage, while discouraging bees and other predators.

This birdhouse is made of recycled plywood with a pine roof. It measures approximately 10-1/2" Tall by 7-1/2" Wide x 8-1/2" Long with an outside floor dimension of 6-3/4" x 5" and an inside floor dimension of 6" x 4-1/4".

The entrance hole to this birdhouse is approximately 1-1/4" in diameter.

House is painted using a bright yellow colored Patio Paint and accented with a stencil design in flame orange with a red accent on the back. The roof has been left natural and sealed with a clear outdoor polyurethane.

Bottom of house can be removed for cleaning by using a screwdriver. We prefer using screws in our houses as squirrels can figure out how to open latches.

Depending on what setting and what height you place the birdhouse, this house will attract chickadees, titmouse, nuthatch, wrens, sparrows, or downy woodpeckers.

House will come with care instructions and a separate screw eye in case you would like to hang your birdhouse from a tree rather than mounting it on a post.

Because this house is handmade using recycled materials, it may have little nicks and scratches in the wood, but I think this adds to the charm of the piece. Please review pictures carefully.

Up for sale is one of Gary's latest creations inspired by an antique toolbox he has. This fun and funky box has been painted an amish blue color and embellished with an off-white butterfly stencil on both sides. I've used a dry brush painting technique to give it an aged look.

The box is made of 1/2" pine and measures approximately 23-1/2" Long x 12-1/4" Wide x 11-1/4" High. The bottom is made of 4-3" slats that are spaced just far enough apart to allow for good drainage if you want to use this box as a planter, but still close enough together so that your items will not fall out if you are using it for storage or berry picking. The handle is made of hard wood and is very sturdy.

Inside dimensions measure approximately 4-3/4" Deep by 21-1/2" Long and will hold eight quart size berry baskets, perfectly.

Some ideas for using this box include:

This is a wooden bowl that has been given new life with a mosaic. It is embellished with 3/4" glass vitreous tiles in shades of green and white. It has been finished with grout in a mocha color and sealed with a high gloss finish. This bowl is not food safe.

The bowl measures approximately 11" square at it's widest point and tapers down to about 8" for the base. The finish on the bowl has been left in it's original rustic state with the exception of a clear varnish to give it some shine and protection.

Up for sale is a vintage wooden tray with a random mosaic pattern in shades of white, black, green, and pink. I used all 3/4" glass vitreous tiles and almond colored grout.

The tray itself has been left in it's natural state which only adds charm to the piece. Due to the color of the adhesive used, the white tiles look more like a blue gray color, which makes for a pretty contrast with all the other colors in the tray.

Tray measures 19" long (21-1/2" with handles) x 12-3/4" wide.

Tray has been sealed but is not suitable for direct food contact.

What a lovely way to serve breakfast in bed.

Up for sale is a large leaf shaped concrete birdbath. This was made by using a latex mold that was created from a real elephant ear and a mixture of sand, portland cement, water, and concrete fortifier (to add strength).

It measures 17" long x 12" wide by 4" tall (including pedestal). The depth of the birdbath is no more than 3", which is the perfect depth that birds feel comfortable in. The rough concrete surface also gives them a stable surface to walk on so they feel safe and will be attracted to your birdbath even more.

Cement has been fully cured for more than 45 days and is ready to be used. I've finished it with a paint wash in two shades of green and topped with several thin layers of a sunny yellow paint wash.

This would also make a great birdfeeder in covered areas or can be placed at the bottom of a downspout to divert rain water.

What a great piece of functional art for your garden.

A platform birdfeeder is the perfect style feeder to attract all kinds of birds. It's also the best feeder to start out with if you have never fed the birds before. Hang the feeder near a tree and the birds can see the seed in the tray as they fly by.

This birdfeeder is made from cedar with metal screen for the bottom. The corners have been glued prior to being nailed for added strength. It comes with a black chain ready for hanging. The bottom has been finished off nicely with half round molding.

This birdhouse is made of pine rough sawn barn boards and comes complete with predator guard and proper ventilation. It measures approximately 11" Tall by 5-1/2" Wide x 7" Deep with an inside floor dimension of 5-1/4" x 3-3/4".

The entrance hole to this birdhouse is approximately 1-1/2" in diameter. House will also come with a mounting board suitable for attaching to a fence post or tree. There are even cleats on the inside front of the house so the baby birds can get out safely.

Front of house can be removed for cleaning by using a screwdriver. We prefer using screws in our houses as squirrels can figure out how to open latches.

This is suitable for bluebirds as well as swallows.

Up for sale is a large leaf shaped concrete birdbath. This was made by using a latex mold that was created from a real elephant ear and a mixture of sand, portland cement, water, and concrete fortifier (to add strength).

It measures 17" long x 12" wide by 4" tall (including pedestal). The depth of the birdbath is no more than 3", which is the perfect depth that birds feel comfortable in. The rough concrete surface also gives them a stable surface to walk on so they feel safe and will be attracted to your birdbath even more.

Cement has been fully cured for more than 45 days and is ready to be used.

This would also make a great birdfeeder in covered areas or can be placed at the bottom of a downspout to divert rain water.

What a great piece of functional art for your garden.

Up for sale is a sparkling clear glass totem for your garden that is made from found glass objects. This particular piece has a ring holder on top. Who knew there was another use for that type of thing?

Made from six separate pieces of glass, this totem stands at approximately 16" tall and 8-1/2" at it's widest point. With the PVC pipe, this totem stands at approximately 40" tall. I spent a lot of time making sure each piece fit together securely as well as being visually appealing.

I use all weather clear glass adhesive to ensure many years of use. Each totem has been cured inside a controlled environment for over 30 days to help prevent condensation and to make sure the glue is properly cured. Each totem is newly put together and has never been displayed outdoors.

Included with this totem is a piece of 24" long PVC that has been painted hunter green. You will need to hammer a 24" piece of rebar into the ground and slip the PVC over the rebar. The totem will fit securely on top of the PVC. Please note that the rebar is not included but is readily available in shorter lengths at your local home improvement store.

This totem is also stable enough to be displayed inside on your table without the PVC pipe. Would make a beautiful accent piece for your next dinner party.

Up for sale is one of Gary's latest creations inspired by an antique toolbox he has. This fun and funky box has been painted lime green and embellished with an off-white dragonfly stencil on both sides. I have removed some of the paint with a sander to give it a rustic aged look.

The box is made of 1/2" pine and measures approximately 21" Long x 10" Wide x 11" High. The bottom is made of 3-3" slats that are spaced just far enough apart to allow for good drainage if you want to use this box as a planter, but still close enough together so that your items will not fall out if you are using it for storage. The handle is made of hard wood and is very sturdy.

Inside dimensions measure approximately 9" Deep by 19" Long and will hold three quart size berry baskets or eight pint size berry baskets, with room to spare.

Some ideas for using this box include:

Copper Oriole or Hummingbird Feeder

This item is a copper feeder that can be filled with sugar water to attract orioles and hummingbirds. You may also fill the glass cup with grape jelly, which orioles love as well.

This feeder was made by me using copper wire, glass beads for accent and using a recycled glass shot glass to hold the sugar water or grape jelly.

Feeder should be cleaned at least twice a week and more often in hot weather. This design is very easy to clean as all you need to do is lift the glass out of the holder. Much easier than traditional feeders. If you have a lot of activity at your feeder, you will probably need to fill daily.

Sugar Water recipe for Hummingbirds:
4 parts water
1 part white granulated sugar
Bring water to a boil, remove from heat, add sugar and stir until dissolved. Cool completely before adding to feeder. Store sugar water in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Sugar water recipe for orioles:
6 parts water
1 part sugar
Same directions as above.

Use well water, untreated tap water, bottled spring water or clean rain water to make the sugar water solution. Never add dyes or food coloring.

Place your feeder at eye level in a tree or on a sheppard's hook for best results. Having the feeder near blooming flowers will attract them even faster. Once hummingbirds have found your feeder, the same birds will return year after year.

Up for sale is a vintage wooden dish shaped like a leaf that I mosaicked with assorted vitreous tiles and various sized glass globs. An almond colored grout was used and then painted with gold. The wooden dish itself has been painted with a gold wash on the front side. Since this is a recycled wooden leaf, there may be imperfections in the tray itself, but that does not detract from the beauty of the mosaic.

It measures approximately 19-1/2" long x 9-1/4" wide.

This item that is up for sale is a cute little pincushion made from a vintage cup and matching plate. I have not glued the plate to the cup, but if you would prefer that I do so, just let me know. The pincushion has been glued to the teacup so that it doesn't come out when you pull out any pins.

Use the plate to store all those little items that seem to clutter up your work space, but things that you need to have handy. **Please note that the sewing items displayed on the plate are not for sale, they are for display purposes only.** You will receive the pincushion cup and matching plate only.

This would make a great Mother's Day gift for that mom who seems to have everything and loves vintage items. I'm really finding it hard to part with this one, it's so cute.

The cotton blended fabric is a brown color that matches perfectly to the brown in the cup and plate and coordinates very well with the yellow flowers. It has been stuffed with polyester fiber fill.

The cup and plate weigh almost a pound without packaging. The items will be wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed very carefully so that they will not break in transit. Unfortunately this bumps up the weight over a pound which doubles the postage. Due to the fragile nature of this item, I cannot combine shipping with birdhouses or birdbaths, but would be happy to combine shipping with other pincushions, notecards, or ornaments. I use all weather clear glass adhesive to ensure many years of use. Each totem has been cured inside a controlled environment for over 30 days to help prevent condensation and to make sure the glue is properly cured. Each totem is newly put together and has never been displayed outdoors.

Included with this totem is a piece of 17-1/4" long PVC that has been painted hunter green. You will need to hammer a 18" piece of rebar into the ground and slip the PVC over the rebar. The totem will fit securely on top of the PVC. Please note that the rebar is not included but is readily available in shorter lengths at your local home improvement store.

This totem is also stable enough to be displayed inside on your table without the PVC pipe. Would make a beautiful accent piece for your next dinner party.

Our birdhouses are specifically designed for proper ventilation and drainage, while discouraging bees and other predators.

This birdhouse is made of recycled plywood with a pine roof. It measures approximately 10-1/2" Tall by 7-1/2" Wide x 8-1/2" Long with an outside floor dimension of 6-3/4" x 5" and an inside floor dimension of 6" x 4-1/4".

The entrance hole to this birdhouse is approximately 1-1/4" in diameter.

House is painted using Fleck Stone paint and has been sealed with an exterior sealer to protect the finish. The flecks are black in color with a white background. The roof has been left natural and sealed with a clear outdoor polyurethane.

Bottom of house can be removed for cleaning by using a screwdriver. We prefer using screws in our houses as squirrels can figure out how to open latches.

Depending on what setting and what height you place the birdhouse, this house will attract chickadees, titmouse, nuthatch, wrens, sparrows, or downy woodpeckers.

House will come with care instructions and a separate screw eye in case you would like to hang your birdhouse from a tree rather than mounting it on a post.

Because this house is handmade using recycled materials, it may have little nicks and scratches in the wood, but I think this adds to the charm of the piece. Please review pictures carefully.

Each pincushion is made from a small clay flower pot that has been painted with acrylic craft paint. Rub-on transfers have been added and then the pot was sealed with a clear varnish.

The "grass" fabric is filled with polyester fiber-fill and will come with five flower pins to add to your collection.

This pot has been painted pink. It measures approximately 3-1/2" tall and 2-3/4" at it's widest point.
