The images you see are previous portraits that I have been comissioned to paint. You are buying a portrait of your pet, horse, cat, dog, etc, to be painted in high quality acrylic paint on an 9 x 12 canvas. This is only for the portrait of ONE animal and the HEAD ONLY. For my pet portrait policies, please see my profile.
So how does this work?
Once you buy this item, you will need to send me 2-3 good clear pictures of your pet, and specify whether or not you would like a particular pose. You can e mail me the images, or send them via regular mail. My painting can only be as good as the photos you send me. If they are not clear enough, I will not be able to paint a good portrait. Once the portrait is completed, I will e mail you pictures of the painting at which point you may suggest any changes you would like made. Once you are satisfied with the painting, it will be shipped to you along with any hard copies of photos you have sent me. Please realize that it will take me 2-3 weeks to complete your painting, depending upon the amount of work I currently have. I have painted dogs, cats and, horses, and am willing to paint any other type of animal. Pet portraits are a great gift to give other animal lovers and a wonderful way to memorialize an important pet in your life.

The styles of the plaques vary, and I will use the style that will best flatter your pet. The pictures posted are an example of a previous portrait that I have done. I have painted cats, dogs, horses etc, so the options are unlimited. My own children are four legged and furry, so if you know somone that is the same way, this makes a great gift! Once you have bought this item you will need to send me three CLEAR pictures, no smaller than 4x6( either via e-mail or regular postal mail. All pictures mailed regularly will be returned with the painting.). My painting can only be as good as the quality of the pictures you send me. If there is a specific pose or background color you would like, please let me know, otherwise I will use my own judgement as to what looks best. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about this item, as I want you to be 100% satisfied with your portrait . The painting will be sprayed with a matte lacquer, and will have a sawtooth hanger on the back for easy display. This listing is for a customized painting of your pet on a leash holder. The painting is done in acrylic paint on a pine plaque. Plaques are roughly 9x12, depending upon the style. I usually use my judgement as to what style of plaque your pet will best fit on as well as whether it should be vertical or horizontal. Once the plaque is completed, the painting is signed and sprayed with a clear laquer coating to help protect it. Brass hooks are added to hold your pet's leash, collar or other accessories and a sawtooth hanger is attached to the back of the plaque for easy hanging. Two hooks are usually placed on the leash holder, but if you would like more, they can be added. Once you have purchased this item you will need to send me at least 3 clear pictures of your pet (one of which has a clear shot of the eyes) either via e mail or regular mail.
