In the last quarter of the 19th century, there was a new "religion" in America: SPORTS! Baseball, horse racing, bicycles, all reflected a shortened work day a its offspring: leisure time.

Textile designers and mills printed realistic images on cotton that reflected the activities and interests of a new generation. These small prints also included small florals, stripes and geometrics for women's dresses and aprons.

These reprints of designs created between 1875 and 1900 are available here on quilt-weight cotton, great for crafts, quilting, and clothing.

This print is part of our FLOOD SALE. Our studio flooded recently when Atlanta experienced unprecedented rains. Most of our fabrics were completely unharmed, but a small number became wet. We've laundered the fabric in mild detergent, tumbled it dry, and folded it gently. The fabric is in LIKE NEW condition with no stains or damage of any kind, but since it's no longer crisp and fresh off the bolt, we're marking it down! Our loss, your gain.
