This little owl loves books and the places they take him! This print is from my original pen & ink sketch with umber ink and watercolor painted. I am a great admirer of Ernest H. Shepard, British artist who rendered the original Winnie-The-Pooh 'decorations' as it states on the title page of the books. I was raised on these books and still feel the influence of Shepard's charming drawings - probably the earliest art I experienced.

Printed on Epson archival water color paper with professional quality inks. Image size is 7" x 5" with white border - overall paper size is 10" x 8".

This lovely home is located in a historic part of Longmont, CO. I was walking in the picturesque neighborhood with my camera and spied this very alert kitty who was very much aware of me. It was early morning and the sun was peeping through the trees.

This painting has a distinct olde world atmosphere. The finest quality pastels were used on a heavily textured sanded pastel paper which gives extra depth to the home's surface.

Pastel is a most unique medium in that the pastel particles can reflect the light and have been known to look fresh as new after 100+ years.

Pansies are such a nostalgic flower, they remind us of our moms, grandmas & times in the past. They are a most hardy, tough flower and bloom from early Spring into the chilly Autumn. They have happy little faces to greet us in our gardens and flowers baskets!

I was influenced by Richard Schmid, master painter, who says he does not like to paint flowers in a vase. The painting was done in oil on canvas and sold on eBay. This image is 8" x 10" with a 1" border (10 " x 12" total) for ease of matting & framing. It is printed on archival Epson watercolor paper.

Golden Koi Pond I & Golden Koi Pond II were painted together and are wonderful displayed together. The soothing movements of the koi in the sunlit pond give the viewer a calm and meditative frame of mind. The water lilies catch the light and have a glow of their own. The first painting also has some blue iris to cool the eyes.

We have a little pond and have enjoyed the lilies and other water plants. We also put in some small fish that were a cross between goldfish and koi but found them to be very shy and hid beneath the leaves most of the time.

Whether displayed together or alone these paintings will brighten and give an air of tranquil peace in the area they are displayed.

Painted with professional quality acrylics on gallery wrapped canvas. The paintings continue around the canvas sides so they may be displayed with or without frames. The paintings are sealed with a gloss varnish to retain the vibrant palette.

Two cousins, my grandchildren, were hiking when the younger child suffered a disappointment. Her cousin, Alex, comforted her by putting his hands on her cheeks and telling her, "It's all right, Bekah." By the time I got my camera out they were heading down the path. This was a completely spontaneous event - not posed. I was able to enhance the shadows beyond what the photo recorded. The title comes from scripture in the New Testament in John 14:27 '...Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.'

The original painting is not for sale. The original acrylic painting won the 'Peoples' Choice' award three days in a row at the Puyallup Fair in Washington State the year it was displayed.

This is a nostalgic view down a little-used dirt road from the little country community church to the small town of Cedonia, WA. This scene depicts my mother as a child walking with her younger cousin, Everett. Her uncle, Leo, usually had a cattle dog such as a border collie to help him work the cows.
