This is a fine quality, bone china cup and saucer made by Hammersley, England.

This cup reminded me of Jane because it was both demure and defiant--wild, swirling clouds of blue flowers restrained by delicate, ladylike ribbon festoons. Passionate, like the character of Jane Eyre, yet self-contained and controlled. The color on this set is BRILLIANT! Very pretty! Cup measures roughly 2" without the saucer and is approximately 3-3/4" from rim to rim. Saucer measures approximately 5-1/2" from rim to rim.

CONDITION: Absolutely mint--no chips, cracks, crazing, fleabites or wear to the pattern or gold. Very nice!

Although Mrs. DeWinter's world was in the 1930's, this lovely teacup looks just like the sort of thing that would have graced the elegant, ominous, Manderley. Sitting under the chestnut tree, sipping tea with Jasper at her feet...

Very pretty, graceful elegance! Bone cream-colored china with deep pink peonies and sage green leaves. Lots of stylish decorative beading, in both gold and relief. Graceful, balanced symmetry--delicate, yet strong! A very nice addition to your collection.

Cup measures roughly 4" across from rim to rim and stands about 2-1/4" without the saucer. Saucer measures about 6-3/4" from rim to rim. Shown here with my very rare Castleton teapot in the Gold Medallion pattern, also available in my store.

This is a top-quality item in excellent vintage condition. Not sure of exact age, but I know dates as far back as the 1950's. This set is rather rare; not even Replacements Ltd. has any in stock. I have additional cups and saucers if you need more than one.

"Catherine's face was just like the landscape--shadows and sunshine flitting over it in rapid succession; but the shadows rested longer, and the sunshine was more transient..." Emily Bronte, Wuthering Heights.

And so Catherine Earnshaw was a complex being, recognized as such by Heathcliff and likely one good reason why he both loved and tormented her. But I like to think of this charming and pretty teacup embellished with pink cabbage roses as a reflection of her brief and relatively happy period as Catherine Linton, living in a graciously decorated home and enjoying its comforts....

This is an absolutely beautiful vintage Hammersley cup and saucer, made in England. Soft white porcelain with stunning deep pink roses and green leaves, lavishly decked with gilding on the scalloped rim of both cup and saucer, on the footed edge, handle, and around the cup's girth. Cup stands roughly 2" tall and measures just shy of 4" from rim to rim. Saucer is just a bit of 5" across from rim to rim. This set has a wonderfully delicate look combined with strength and weight. A sturdy set, despite its apparent fragility--much like Catherine Earnshaw.....

CONDITION: In excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, crazing, but there is the tiniest fleabite of wear on the gold trim on the cup's rim. The fleabite appears to be in the gold, not in the porcelain itself. It is so small I nearly missed it, and does not diminish the set's beauty. Glaze and pattern are clear, bright, and shiny. One note--the handle on this fancy cup is larger than most, able to accommodate my rather large fingers and hand well.

How this centerpiece is constructed: Crepe paper roses are fashioned onto wooden skewers, then arranged in a 'vase' constructed of a white cardboard box expertly covered in heavy cardstock. The 'vase' is weighted slightly with a small bag of pebbles at the bottom, to keep your paper arrangement stable. The interior foam is covered with dark green shredded paper fill, then topped with curlicues of pink and white ribbon. I have made these arrangements for baby showers, bridal showers, and weddings, to an enthusiastic response.

A beautiful set of four exquisite French Limoges cups and saucers, perfectly suitable for a revolutionary tea party! Very pretty scalloped saucers with embossed beading. Cups also have light embossing around the outside of the rim. The porcelain is white with light pink roses, pale lavender flowers, and soft spring green leaves. Soft, shabby gilding on the handles for a delicate look! Teacup measures roughly 3-3/4" from rim to rim and stands 1-3/4" high without the saucer. And so the Queen's courtiers frantically paint her white roses red, in order to save themselves from an almost surely fatal mistake...Well, the roses are ALL red on this charming English bone china teacup and saucer, lavishly embellished with heavy gilding and bright green leaves. A very colorful and elegant cup, truly fit for a queen! Tuscan cups and saucers run a little small, somewhere between a demitasse and a regular-sized teacup--but their petite beauty is part of their charm! The footed cup measures roughly 3-1/4" across from rim to rim, and stands about 2-1/8" tall without the saucer. Saucer measures a fraction over 5" from rim to rim.

CONDITION: Near mint--no wear to the pattern (roses are a bright, red-pink with deep, kelly green leaves) or gilding. Lots of heavy gilding here! At LAST! A party tray that meets all your needs--large enough to accomodate a sizable amount of glasses, and with all the beauty and elegance of rich mahogany that WIPES CLEAN WITH A DAMP CLOTH. How is this possible? This tray is coated with three coats of quality Minwax SPAR Urethane, a sealant normally used in marine items such as boats or water skis, designed to repel water completely. This tray has been put to the TORTURE TEST: A glass of ice water was set on it and left standing for an hour. Normally you would shudder to think of the awful white ring that would leave--but as you can see, there's not a mark on it! Wipes clean with a damp cloth. At last you can have all the beauty and elegance of real wood without the stress.

This tray is very large (as you can see by the 12 full-sized party wine glasses setting on it) measuring 19-1/4" X 13-1/2" (interior dimensions) and an exterior dimension of approximately 14-1/2"x20-1/2". The 1-1/4" sides with handles are solid mahogany; the interior bottom and underside are mahogany veneer. Shown in a rich Cherry stain and constructed in such a way that the wood is allowed to breathe and expand with temperature changes, which will avoid your tray warping.

My husband and I bought this table several years ago in an antique store. It was in pretty rough shape, and we decided to refinish it, since simple restoration would not have solved the issues in its finish. We began to strip the old finish off, only to discover the burled top was a faux finish! Oh brother...thank goodness, my husband is a cabinet-builder, used to working with wood, and he replaced the faux finish with mahogany veneer. He did a very nice job, as you can see from the photos.

How old is this table? We don't know; it could be a genuine antique from the Victorian era (Victorians loved to do faux finishes!) or it might be a quality reproduction from the 1920's, 30's, or 40's. In any case, it is a solid, well-built little table, with no loose joints or construction issues. The finish has been maintained over the last ten years with orange oil, but there is a little finish wear along the curved edge of the table top. This can be easily fixed with a little cherry stain or furniture crayon. Table displays beautifully, especially with a pretty doily on top.

Measurements: Tabletop measures 12" from front to back, and approximately 25" from side to side. Table height is 23". Has a lot of nice detailing.

Tea Time Necessity....Set of Four Vintage Royal Grafton Tea Cups and Saucers Footed

These are very good quality, bone china cups and saucers in excellent condition. I have additional cups if you need more than four.

With regard to the color: I pulled out my box of 64 Crayola Crayons and the crayon marked 'sea foam green' was a near perfect match--except the cups are a lighter, more pastel version of the crayon color :)

Wow! These pretty sea foam green teacups decked with deep pink roses, yellow daisies, and bluebells are a friendly sight! Add a splash of pretty color to your table and enjoy their delicate beauty....Cups have nicely curved handles with gilding. Both the cup and saucer edge is gently scalloped and also gilded. Although the title description states that these are footed, the foot is very short and also gilded, as is the center of the saucer. The saucer is very curved and the cup sits rather low (see pics). Cup measures approximately 2" tall without the saucer and 3-3/4" from rim to rim. Saucer measures roughly 5-1/2" across. Bottom is stamped "Royal Grafton Bone China Made in England". I'm not certain of the age of these cups and saucers, but judging from their initial condition before cleaning, I would say they are fairly old! Don't worry--these have been thoroughly cleaned, and even the inside of the handles had the benefit of a Q-tip dipped in cleaner :)

CONDITION: In excellent vintage condition--no chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites. Very minimal wear to the pattern and gilding. Glaze is bright and shiny. Ready to accompany your prettiest linen and best silver.

This is a top quality, English bone china teacup and saucer.

"Emma Woodhouse, handsome, clever, and rich, with a comfortable home and happy disposition, seemed to unite some of the best blessings of existence..."

Well, we all know how Emma enjoyed being of some use to those less blessed, and so perhaps she'll let you use her teacup--for a price! This pretty teacup made me think of Gwyneth Paltrow's charming protrayal of Jane Austen's well-loved protagonist, and I can even see her wearing a gown in the same lovely shade of green-aqua! This is a very fine quality vintage Paragon teacup and saucer, and highly collectible. The footed teacup stands approximately 2-1/4" tall and 4" across. The saucer is roughly 5-1/2" in diameter. The colors are a medium green-aqua with deep pink roses, spring-green leaves, and tiny yellow buds. Lots of intricate, filigreed gilding that makes this cup so outstandingly beautiful! The bottom of both cup and saucer are stamped, "By appointment to her Majesty the Queen, China Potters, Paragon, Fine Bone China, England, Regd."

CONDITION: Excellent--near mint! Virtually no wear to the extensive gilding, no chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites. There are a couple of very minor scratches in the cup well and saucer, but they can be seen only upon careful and close inspection. Virtually no wear to the pattern--very clear and bright! The glaze is bright and shiny with no crazing. This teacup is in sparkling display condition :)

The Mary Poppins Pretty Vintage Footed Teacup and Saucer....Rare Franconia Bavaria Gloria Pattern

This is a very fine quality china teacup and saucer in excellent condition.

Garlands of magenta-pink roses swoop around the rim of this lovely cup, and also around the edge of the saucer. I took one look, and thought of Jane and Michael's charming nursery in the Disney film, "Mary Poppins"--quaint, old British charm! Somehow I can picture Mary Poppins sipping tea from this cup while astride her complacent, lavender merry-go-round horse smiling all the while, eyes closed!

CONDITION: This cup is in very good condition, with some scratches on the saucer that are only noticeable upon close inspection. No chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites. Pattern is clear and bright, gold trim intact. Slightly flared cup measures almost 4" across and 2-1/4" high (without the saucer). The saucer measures 6" across and has a slightly scalloped edge. I've only seen one other cup like this (apparently Franconia Gloria is rather rare :)

This is a very fine quality, bone china cup and saucer in near mint condition.

Well, we all know what a stiff-necked pain-in-the-neck Lady Catherine could be, do we not? However unpleasant her personal quirks and traits may have been, she DID live in opulent luxury, with beautiful china, draperies, and furnishings about her...Therefore, when I saw this ornate and exquisitely gilded Foley cup and saucer in the Broadway pattern, I was reminded of her. By the way, my favorite version of Pride & Prejudice is the A&E/BBC production starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. What's yours?

This beautifully ornate set is done in shades of turquoise, deep pinks, spring greens and touches of mustard. Both the cup rim and foot, as well as the saucer rim, are gently scalloped and gilded. Background is white. Cup measures roughly 3-1/4" from rim to rim, and stands about 3" tall without the saucer. The saucer measures roughly 5-1/2" from rim to rim.

A beautiful Olga nightgown with a beautiful pair of coordinating beaded slippers!

PLEASE NOTE: This gown may look orchid pink on your screen. It is NOT--it is a deep, brilliant hot fuchsia. I simply couldn't capture the intensity of the color; think deep hot pink with a purple cast to it.

An unusual gown in the respect that it features two layers of soft, sheer nylon inserts in the bodice, instead of being all lace as most Olga gowns. The dress form measurements as shown are BUST 36", WAIST 30", HIPS freeflowing. The gown fit comfortably on the dress form (at least I didn't hear it complaining). The coordinating beaded/sequined mules/slippers are size 7-1/2 to 8 medium. The slippers are done in burgundy/hot pink/fuchsia tones and should coordinate well. If you have a hot pink or burgundy gown of your own, consider these an added perk!

CONDITION: Gown is near mint--no holes, stains, rips, or tears. Two small tiny pics on the back of the bodice. Slippers were only very lightly worn (purchased new by me and worn two or three times around the house). Both items will be shipped gift wrapped as shown. RARE Castleton Teapot Gold Medallion Pattern...Vintage and Very Beautiful, Near Mint GREAT WEDDING GIFT

THIS TEAPOT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AT LAST! It is a very rare Castleton Teapot in the Gold Medallion pattern, manufactured between 1963-1972. Replacements Ltd. does not even have this teapot in stock, but other Castleton Teapots with the same body style and differing pattern begin at $800+ in their store. It has taken me a year to finally learn who made this teapot :) To understand why, read on:

This is a truly beautiful, quality teapot, in near mint condition--except for one thing: the maker's mark has been etched away from the bottom! Don't know why anyone would do this; I purchased the teapot in this condition sometime back from an antique store.

Other than this peculiar flaw (which can only be seen when the teapot is turned upside down) the teapot is in great, very slightly used condition--no chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites. The teapot base color (gallery picture is the most accurate) is a bone cream color, with lots of elegant gold detailing, and a peacock-style medallion. I have taken pictures of both medallions on front and back of teapot; front medallion is slightly larger. Looking for a way to liven up your wedding, anniversary party, or any party in general? These handcrafted crepe paper roses, both pretty and festive, will do the trick! Color is a deep royal blue or peacock blue, whichever term you prefer. The roses are securely hand-twirled by me onto wooden skewers, and stand approximately 12" tall and 3" across. I have not put leaves on, but I will upon request at no additional charge. Please note that because these roses are attached to skewers and not wires, they are not as readily posable, because they are not bendable. Pretty Vintage Footed Royal Halsey Japan Teacup and Saucer Deep Pink Roses

A very pretty vintage teacup and saucer, made by Royal Halsey (Japan). Both the cup and scalloped saucer are in near-mint condition, with no wear to the pattern and only very minimal wear to the gilding. Pretty sprays of deep red-pink roses, green leaves, and tiny blue flowers decorate the front and back of the cup and saucer. The cup measures just under 4" across and a little over two inches tall alone. Saucer measures 5-1/2" in diameter.

The bottom of the saucer is stamped, "Royal Halsey, Very Fine". I would like to point out that though this is a pretty cup in excellent condition for display or use, it is not the quality of some of my other teacups listed, and the price reflects that. Here is a set of three large gift tags based on my own original artwork (see photos). The gift tags feature a princess in shades of pink and turquoise with a hot pink ribbon, a stylized Merry-go-round-style horse in shades of pink and muted lavender and aqua ribbon, and a comic prince in shades of turquoise, red, and green, sporting a green and white striped ribbon. The prince bears the caption: 'For My Goofy Little Prince'. Gift tags are suitable for that special little princess that loves horses, and the comic prince would be suitable either for a young man or your husband, if he has a sense of humor :)

The prince and princess gift tags are a little over three inches square, and the horse is roughly 3-1/2"X2-3/4". All have "To" and "From" written on the back.

Possibly WATERFORD CRYSTAL Set of Six Vintage Petite CLEAR Cut Crystal Cordials...TOP QUALITY

SPECIAL NOTE added 3/9/09: I spoke with a woman from Ireland recently; she owned quite a bit of Waterford Crystal and informed me that early Waterford was not signed, and in fact none of her Waterford was signed. (Waterford was manufactured in Ireland; from what I have been told Waterford has now gone out of business and no longer manufactures crystal) Therefore, these crystal cordials may well be Waterford, due to their high quality, in spite of the fact that they are unsigned.

These photos do not do this set of six brandy cordials justice--the quality is superb! I bought these in an antique store years ago as a gift for my husband, who loved them instantly! Now, however, we have acquired so many wine glasses, cordials, and vintage Tiffin I'm running out of space...I saw an identical set in another antique store, and they were in pretty rough shape--all crazed and crackled, so somebody loved them a little too well. These are in MINT MINT MINT condition--no chips, no cracks, no fleabites, no crazing, no clouding. The cuts are sharp and clear and superior to modern crystal (they really knew what they were doing back in the old days!) I had great difficulty capturing the sparkling brilliance and clarity of these with my limited skill with a camera--photos do not do them justice! Cordials stand approximately 3-1/2" tall and are roughly 1-1/2" from rim to rim.

The cordials have a nice, weighty feel to them that comes with quality while still remaining delicately beautiful. They sparkle beautifully in a lighted china cabinet.

If you are looking for a gift for a special man, this is one that will definitely be remembered!

Do you love tiny, charming things? Then add this sweet little jam jar by Royal Chelsea to your next private tea party! The jar (without lid) stands roughly 2-1/4" tall and 2" from rim to rim; with lid and finial it stands about 3-1/4" tall. Underplate is 4-1/4" across from rim to rim, and I have included a very small spoon (not original to the set) made by Oneida Community Stainless. Sprays of pink roses, blue, yellow, and orange daisies and green leaves adorn the jar and underplate. Bottom is marked, "Royal Chelsea, English Bone China, Made in England".

CONDITION: Excellent! No chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites. No wear to pattern or gold trim. There is some very minor discoloration within the glaze (too minor to capture with my camera) on the jar's lid, that appears to have been a minor factory flaw. Glaze is bright and shiny, ready to adorn your tea party.

Wow! This is a really beautiful, quality silverplate serving bowl made by Poole. VERY heavy, solid piece (the bowl itself weighs more than four pounds) in near mint condition! Use it to serve muffins, cookies, your favorite homemade breads--the possibilities are endless! Or, you could wrap all your best silver in your favorite linen-and-lace napkins and use the bowl for displaying them. Very pretty addition to your china cabinet when not in use :)

This large bowl measures approximately 13-1/2"X12" and stands roughly 2-1/2" tall. Bottom is stamped: Old English Silverplate by Poole, 5033.

CONDITION: This piece is virtually mint--no wear to the silverplate, virtually no scratches, no dings or dents. Polished to a high degree--so much so that, as you can see, it was hard to keep my own reflection out of my photos :)

There is a very small manufacturing flaw where the silverplate mold didn't quite seal completely, very minor but I mention it only for an accurate description.

Looking for something with a little dash and sparkle for your next high tea? Add this charming vintage silverplate candy dish! Gorgeous roses in perfect relief, on both the inside bottom and all along the scalloped edge. Freshly polished and waiting to grace your own lovely china, linen tablecloths, and gleaming silver!

This appears to be silverplate over brass, in excellent condition with only minute wear primarily on the bottom interior (which will be covered with chocolates anyway, right?) The wear is so modest it is visible only upon close inspection under strong light, but I like to disclose anything less than perfection so that YOU know what you are purchasing. Measures approximately 9"X6" and the dish ends curve slightly upward.

Bottom has no maker's mark, but I purchased this in an antique store, promptly took it home, and polished it within an inch of it's finish, LOL. This piece appears to have some weight and solidarity to it, and is well-made.

The burglary was a peculiar one: various pieces of jewelry were dropped throughout the store and left trailing through the open front door. The front door had been propped open with a cast iron boot scraper. Perhaps the greatest oddity of all was the shop bell hanging on the front door: a loop of string had been run through the ring from which it dangled--and at the other end a large, yellow kite fluttered in the breeze. Thus, the bell rang continuously with each jerk of the kite..."

EXCERPT #2: "...I now understood at last why Carson had moved across the street--his jealousy of Michael ran with such depth that he could not bear to let him out of his sight for long. Because Michael loved Christiana, she became the prize to be attained. I don't think Carson would have had the slightest interest in her otherwise. This is the way things began, at least. I quickly realized, however, that though Michael was the initial target, Christiana's disdain and rather mocking personality intrigued Carson more than even he expected. Carson was very proud, with no tolerance for humiliation. Christiana could humiliate him with one sentence, and leave him unable to make the smallest reply without looking like an idiot. Carson developed an obsession for her, and went to great lengths to win her over. It was as though he were a child let loose in a candy store, with all its contents at his disposal, and had been told only the lollipop on the top shelf could not be had. STORY EXCERPT: "...The account of General Sherman's invasion at Gingertree was told and retold over several generations, with occasionally comic embellishments. It seemed Sherman sometimes had a glass eye that fell out when confronted by both Delia's and Almeda's stare; on other occasions the modest molasses barrel was an empty coffin filled to the top with powder and exploding with such force that it felled several trees. Other ornamental details included the entire household pelting the retreating Union Army with rocks--highly unlikely, in view of the burning house--and Almeda actually hitting Sherman in the forehead with the bucket, leaving behind a permanent scar..." They decide that Rufus McGraw, a brilliant and inventive chemist ready to take a risk, is their man. But Rufus is distinctive at five feet two and 118 pounds; such unusual stature will make him stand out, jeopardizing the mission. The SS decides he must masquerade as a woman...And so, Rufus dons corset and petticoats to become one of history's most elusive, evasive spies--ever.

PRONG SET VINTAGE BROOCH...Four Tiers of Emerald Green Stars in Goldtone Setting

This is a beautiful brooch, with emerald green and light green faceted rhinestones set in an elegant goldtone setting. Eight of the lighter stones appear to be a green aurora borealis. Condition is excellent, with only a small area of discoloration on the very center of the pin bar (no doubt from being slid through fabric over the years) but this, of course, would not be at all visible when worn.

I have worn this brooch several times, receiving many compliments on its beauty, but the pin is rather large for my five-foot-two frame; it tends to dominate me! The brooch measures approximately 2.25" across, and it always looks a little too big on me. So, if you're a tall, statuesque woman looking for a beautiful piece that won't get lost on your person, you've found it.

Beautiful Vintage GERMANY Scalloped White Bowl...Beading, Pink Yellow Shabby Roses

This is a beautiful vintage china bowl simply stamped "Germany" on the back. White with cascading pink and yellow roses and green leaves. Gold trim has minimal wear and pattern is excellent. A great bowl for that shabby cottage look, except there is nothing shabby about this bowl! No chips, cracks, crazing or fleabites. Bowl measures approximately 8-1/2 inches from rim to rim and stands about 2-1/4" high. Very pretty!

NOTE: The colors on this bowl are actually very strong, clear, and bright; they look a little paler in my photos. I had a hard time getting them accurate!

Looking for inexpensive party favors or flowers to decorate your party or wedding tables? Or maybe a baby shower? Or perhaps you just like paper roses, and would enjoy the novelty of this in your decor; whatever the case, this pretty and festive handcrafted crepe paper rose has a variety of fun uses! Handcrafted with quality crepe paper onto a wooden skewer, this rose meaures approximately 4-1/2" across and a finished height of 13 inches.

I have included a photo as an example of how this rose may be used for parties, weddings, and showers. I rolled an 8-1/2"X11" piece of colored cardstock into a tube, inserted it firmly into an inexpensive clear vase, and topped with shredded paper fill. The possibilities are endless! Use patterned cardstock, or glittery cardstock and top with silver or gold tinsel instead of paper. You can cut the cardstock level with the vase, or leave it tall, as I have done. Sprinkle a little party glitter around your floral creation, and let the fun begin....Cardstock, vase, and paper fill is not included in your purchase.

Looking for a festive, yet inexpensive way to create that party atmosphere? These charming pink and white crepe paper roses arranged in a vase are stylish yet fun at the same time! Suitable for anniversary parties, bridal showers, baby showers, graduation parties, or even as an unexpected gift for that friend who loves girly things! This arrangement is shown in pink and white, but virtually any color can be done, and if you have a specific request, please convo me and we'll work it out.

How This Is Constructed: Crepe paper is twined on wooden skewers, and then green silk leaves are added. A 'vase' is constructed out of white cardboard and expertly covered with heavy cardstock. The 'vase' is then weighted slightly for stability, and the roses arranged in foam. Filled with shredded fill paper and then topped with ribbon curlicues, these arrangements are a lot of fun!

A photo of this arrangement with a teacup has been shown to give scale. Teacup is not included with your purchase.
