$13.75
If this yarn doesn't keep you warm, the color will.

It's a complex blend of reds, with purple, pink, orange and yellow mohair, wool, wool/angora/glitz and wool/silk. That's just the base fiber. I've also added snippets of yarn from every fiery color yarn in my stash. Sparkles, eyelash, fuzz, felt...you name it, it's in here. There are more than a dozen different kinds of yarn mixed in. It took me almost as long to blend the batt as it did to spin the yarn! But I'm very pleased with it.

Reds are so difficult to photograph. I'd say the base color is a deep ripe tomato color. The photos don't do it justice.

Chunky thick-thin yarn.

Hand wash, dry flat.

Monitors vary, so colors may not be exact.

Shipping rates are for standard mail. Please convo me for priority mail rate.

Hand spun art yarn, Sand and Sea, mixed fibers, 65 yds

$16.25
This fiber mix is the result of a line from the old Joni Mitchell song "Court and Spark" going around in my head.... "His eyes were the color of the sand and the sea."

So I raided my stash for those colors and came up with this mix. It has turquois wool, silk waste, soft brown alpaca, ramie, glitz, a pearly grey wool I dyed with turmeric, a deep blue and purple tussah-merino blend, snippets of two metallic commercial yarns, a tussah-cotton blend called "Gold Dust" and Seacell (what homage to beachy treasures would be complete without it?).

This yarn really sparkles! The photos don't do it justice. It was a joy to spin and I hope will be a joy to use. It's very soft, spun slightly thick-thin. I try to keep the grist about worsted weight. I have several more skeins available, please convo me if interested.

Thanks for looking.

Thick-thin yarn.

Hand wash, dry flat.

Monitors vary, so colors may not be exact.

Shipping rates are for standard mail.
