24K GOLD PLATED PIECES - general information:

All of the 24k gold-plated pieces in my collection are fabricated of copper and/or brass. They are soldered with high temperature silver solder before plating, or assembled from pre-plated parts using gold filled wire, and sometimes a combination of the two.

Achieving this special "ancient gold" finish requires several steps which I perfected here in the studio. The pieces are given a lustrous matte finish, then sent to a custom plater who applies the right combination of nickel under-plating (always used to improve durability), and a high quality 24k gold plating.

The 24k gold plating wears well and does not tarnish.

24K GOLD PLATED PIECES - general information:

All of the 24k gold-plated pieces in my collection are fabricated of copper and/or brass. They are soldered with high temperature silver solder before plating, or assembled from pre-plated parts using gold filled wire, and sometimes a combination of the two.

Achieving this special "ancient gold" finish requires several steps which I perfected here in the studio. The pieces are given a lustrous matte finish, then sent to a custom plater who applies the right combination of nickel under-plating (always used to improve durability), and a high quality 24k gold plating.

The 24k gold plating wears well and does not tarnish.
