Hand Turned Wood Mushroom

This mushroom is hand turned out of poplar. There are "worm holes" made by wood munching critters to give the piece a unique rustic look.

Mushrooms make great garden decorations but look great as indoor decorations as well. We even have a customer who bought several to go with her daughter's woodland fairy toys.

There is a nontoxic walnut oil application on the wood. If you plan to use your mushroom outside, please know that this wood will eventually weather when exposed to the elements for long periods of time. (We store our mushrooms in the shed over the snowy winter months.)

This mushroom measures 5" high and is 3-3/4" at it's widest.

I've used a polyurethane finish to protect the wood.

This fine little top is hand turned hard maple. There are black stripes on both the top and bottom of the disk. The inks I use for the stripes are non-toxic and permanent.
