This is a cute little ring!

This sterling silver and seraphinite ring is simple and elegant. I used decorative sterling silver wire to create the bezel setting for the wonderful deep green seraphinite cabochon. The stone is set on a sterling silver band which is gently rounded on the outside, but flat on the inside, which makes the ring very comfortable to wear.

The stone is round and 12 mm in diameter. The sterling silver band is 4.5 mm wide. The ring is a size 6 ¼.

Seraphinite is found only in Russia. It has a deep forest green colour and it is chatoyant. You can see silvery feathery inclusions in it which create lustre.

The ring is a one of a kind (ooak) piece.

A gorgeous borosilicate (boro) glass bead in varying shades of green, brown and a hint of blue is complimented by a fanciful, loopy copper wire design to create an attention getting pendant. The glass and copper pendant is suspended on a green silk ribbon which is finished with handmade copper ribbon ends and copper clasp.

The pendant is 2 ¼” (5.9 cm) long. The length of the necklace, including the handmade spiral copper clasp, is 16” (40.6 cm) plus a 2” (5 cm) copper extender chain.

Borosilicate glass is a very hard glass. The colours appear differently in natural sunlight than under artificial indoor light. The colours are more striking in natural sunlight. The photos of this necklace were taken outdoors in the shade.

This sterling silver and charoite ring is pretty and feminine. I created a bezel setting for the beautiful deep purple charoite cabochon and set it on a band that has a feminine, romantic pattern. I oxidized the silver to give it a darker, "antiqued" look and to really bring out the beautiful pattern on the band.

The oval shaped stone is 10 mm x 14 mm. The band is 4 mm wide. The ring is a size 5 ¼.

Charoite is a beautiful purple stone that is found only in Russia. It can range from bright lilac, to violet to deep purple. This piece is a deep purple colour. Charoite is chatoyant, so you can see a silky lustre as light reflects from it.

The light green aventurine cabochon featured in this pendant has some darker bands that make it very interesting. The sterling silver link adorned with a sterling swirl gives the pendant a contemporary feel.

The pendant is hung on a navy Greek leather cord. The spiral clasp and the ribbon ends are made from sterling silver wire.

To make these cute little earrings I coiled some sterling silver wire into a swirl which I then soldered to sterling silver squares that I hung on the diagonal.

I treated the earrings with a patina to emphasize the texture, giving the sterling silver a darker, “antiqued” look.

The squares are 1/2” x 1/2” (12 mm x 12 mm) and hang from hand crafted sterling silver ear wires, for a total length of about 1 1/2” (4 cm).

Black Labradorite Necklace

This necklace is simple yet elegant. It is made with black labradorite coin beads, faceted black glass beads and sterling and fine silver wire. A black ribbon of soft suede finishes the back of the necklace.

The wire links, ribbon ends and hook clasp were handcrafted using sterling silver wire. The central silver link is lightly hammered. The link is 1" (2.5 cm) by 1" (2.5 cm).

The black labradorite coin beads have a diameter of 5/8" (1.5 cm).

Total length of the necklace is 20” (51 cm). The length can be adjusted upon request.

This necklace is a one of a kind piece.

Black labradorite is the trade name of larvikite. It is an attractive grey stone with some black spots and flashes of blue-grey iridescence. Although it does have some feldspar crystals in it, which give it the silvery-blue sheen, larvikite is not the same stone as labradorite (which is a more valuable stone).

Petrified Wood Necklace

An attractive piece of petrified wood is wrapped using copper wire. The petrified wood has streaks of beiges and browns. The copper wire frames it beautifully to show it to best advantage.

The petrified wood bead is 1 ¼” x 1 ¼” (32 mm x 32 mm) and the total length of the pendant is 1 7/8” (48 mm). The pendant hangs on a 3 mm wide light beige micro suede cord, which is finished with copper ribbon ends that have been hand crafted using copper wire. The spiral clasp is made using copper wire.

The necklace is 17” (43 cm) long with a 2” (5 cm) extender chain.

The last photo shows the back side of the pendant.

This is a one of a kind piece.

Petrified wood is wood that has been fossilized and therefore turned to stone. It feels and looks like stone.

These sleek, simple copper earrings with gorgeous iridescent green glass beads are perfect for fall and winter.

Small glass beads in a metallic green colour with blue flashes are on a small copper ring that is suspended below long, slim copper links. These earrings are long and slim. And they swing nicely too.

The earrings are just over 2 ¼” (5.8 cm) in length from the tops of the handmade copper ear wires. The handmade copper links are 30 mm long and 2.5 mm wide.

I’ve applied a transparent wax sealant to the earrings to prevent the copper from oxidizing and turning dark. The sealant is safe for your skin and for the metal.

Carnelian and Sterling Silver Necklace

An elongated carnelian drop is the focal point of this elegant necklace. The smooth carnelian tear shaped bead has been wrapped with sterling silver wire to form a graceful bead cap. It hangs below a sinuous sterling silver link. The necklace chain has 6 round carnelian beads and 4 more sinuous sterling links along it and is finished with a spiral shaped sterling silver clasp.

The tear shaped carnelian bead is the colour of peaches and tangerines. The round beads vary in colour from light peach to caramel and have some darker streaks within them.

The focal bead is just over 1” (2.5 cm) long, with the total pendant length (from just below the sterling link) of 1 5/8” (4.2 cm). The total necklace length is 19” (48.3 cm).

I hand formed all of the links and the clasp with sterling silver wire.

The carnelian used in this piece is natural, not dyed. Natural carnelian varies in colour from the lightest peach to a deep orangey red and often has varying bands or spots of colour within it.

Faceted iolite beads are wrapped with sterling silver wire and suspended from upside down hearts made from square sterling silver wire.

The hearts can swing from below the ear wires, which gives nice movement and allows the faceted stone beads to catch the light.

The wire hearts have been soldered closed, which makes them sturdy and allows them to keep their shape.

Iolite is a pretty stone which appears to be different colours depending on the angle at which it is viewed. From some angles it is a beautiful, rich purple blue colour and from others it appears grey.

The hearts are ¾” (2 cm) long by 7/8” (2.2 cm) wide. The total length of the earrings, from the tops of the handmade ear wires to the bottom of the stones is 2 ¼” (5.7 cm).

Doesn’t the pendant look like ripples on a lake?

I love texture. I created a rectangle from sterling silver sheet and folded it to create the ripple texture which makes the pendant three dimensional. I then hand made the links for the chain using heavy gauge sterling silver wire and added an amethyst to every third link.

The pendant is 1 ¾” (45 mm) long and 5/8” (16 mm) wide. The handmade chain is 17 ¼” (44 cm) long.

This is a one of a kind piece.

This necklace looks delicate and feminine. The fluorite beads are in various pastel shades of green and purple. The sterling silver chain made of figure 8 shaped links look airy and elegant.
