This finely detailed raven skull is made of hot cast jewelers bronze. Under seven grams, it is a comfortable weight to wear without being cumbersome. Like sterling, it can easily be maintained with any metal polish. As the pictures reveal, this three dimensional skull is a miniaturized duplicate of the real skull it is sitting on. I used the real skull to make a mold into which I cast a medium which shrinks proportionally as it cures. From that prototype casting, I made another silicone mold of the now miniaturized skull and cast a resin version that was sent off to my local foundry to be copied in bronze. This little fellow is totally three dimensional, even the bottom has the detail of the original. Just under 1-1/4" long, it is the perfect size to wear anywhere, anytime, even your boss will like it. This beautifully detailed skull has a solid cranium with the bail solidly cast on to the back and fitted with a generous jump ring. I've mounted it on a 24" oxidized brass flat link chain with matching lobster clasp and jump rings. The skull is also available with an oxidized finish as shown in the last picture, just ask. Even though I live in prime hummingbird habitat, I never in my wildest dreams ever expected to acquire a hummingbird skull to replicate. Out of the blue, one of my raven skull customers approached me about making her a hummingbird skull pendant from one that had died naturally in her backyard cedar tree. Sara sent me the deceased little hummer, branch and all.(see last picture) This petite skull measures 1-1/16" long not including the bail. It is only 1/4" across at the widest part of the cranium and weighs a mere 2 grams. Every tiny detail of the original including the bone texture has been captured in the solid blackened sterling silver duplicate. I'm offering it on an 18" black gunmetal curb chain, but that can be changed if you would like something different.

This is a reworked version of my hand crafted mirror polished raven skull. I've been experimenting with my aging techniques and have managed to make this one look like it has been dug up after fifty years. The forehead is pitted and the metal blackened with the edges and high points rubbed bright so the silver shows through making it look like it has been worn for a few years after being dug up. Wearing will only make it look even better. It's 1-7/8" long and tough as nails. It's a nice size and weight and is mounted on a tangle free 30" steel ball chain that that can easily be cut to any length you like. The Kitti's Hog-nosed Bat is a vulnerable species of bat and the only member of the family Craseonycteridae. It occurs in western Thailand and southeast Burma, where it occupies limestone caves along rivers.

It has a reddish-brown or grey coat, with a distinctive pig-like snout. Colonies range greatly in size, with an average of 100 individuals per cave. The bat feeds during short activity periods in the evening and dawn, foraging around nearby forest areas for insects. Females give birth annually to a single offspring.

Although the bat's status in Burma is not well-known, the Thai population is restricted to a single province and may be at risk for extinction. Its potential threats are primarily anthropogenic, and include habitat degradation and the disturbance of roosting sites.

I have been approached by several patrons for a more refined bird skull of true size, but not so large as my full life size raven skull, more along the size of those featured in the "Ginger Snaps" movie. In response, I've have replicated the skull of a carrion crow which is a slightly smaller "English" cousin to the raven. It is made of strong yet lightweight bone resin with a very natural texture and bone color. The overall length of the skull is 2 5/8". The skull surface is clean with a weathered bone finish. A 24" curb chain has been fitted to the drilled skull but a 30" ball chain or 32" black satin cord is available instead if requested. The raven skulls worn by the beautiful model are sold and are for demonstration purposes only.

I have been making these miniature steer skulls for several years and they seem to be quite popular in certain circles. They are made of bone resin and measure 1-1/2" L x 1-1/2" W. They are aged by my secret method and then hand polished to look just like a real old bone steer skull. I've seen these used as pendants, key chains, bolo ties, zipper pulls and even used as props in potted cactus plants. I have had several requests for my life size raven in a silver metallic finish. Because this skull is solid, to cast it in any metal would make it much to heavy. In order to get the look without the weight, I blended aluminum powder with resin and after curing hand burnished the piece to achieve an ancient looking oxidized gunmetal finish. Be sure to zoom in on the pictures to see the full effect. This life size raven skull measures 2-3/4" in length. It is strung on an 24" curb chain with a toggle clasp that passes right through the skull, so it hangs perfectly when worn and won't roll or flip. He's made of strong black resin and only measures 1-1/8" overall. He weights a whooping one gram. Being a miniaturized version of my larger bronze raven skull, he has all the exact same detail, just smaller. A metal ring solidly embedded in the back of the skull is mounted on an 18" curb chain which can be sized smaller if requested. Sometimes my customers like to wear more than one raven skull at a time with this one worn above a larger one, but this little guy can be worn alone when you want just a "hint of Goth". This a reproduction of an original Victorian skeleton key that I was blessed to stumble upon in a local antique shop. I've never encountered such a beautiful key in my life and felt compelled to share its beauty. I have reproduced it in jewelers grade silicon bronze and captured every delicate floral detail as well as the areas that have been worn smooth on the original. After carefully polishing it, I oxidized and burnished it by hand until it looked as old as the original. This 2-3/4" Victorian key is hung on a vintage 3mm copper chain that is oxidized to match. The chain is a long 36" with a clasp on each end. You can wear the key up high by looping the chain behind the neck, and latching the now doubled chain at the front shortening it to 18". The chain can be changed if it's not to your liking.
