I made this clock after noticing the mail carrier's magnetic strip had fallen off right in front of our mailbox in Vermont! As the railroad plate it steel, I had to do it...

Inspired to make smaller functional works that are unique and affordable, these railroad nut holders can be used for candles, or use them as stands for little strange objects that you already possess.

I ground off the rust and cold welded each nut/washer. The bottom is rust free and ready for felt or bumpers if need be. If you put these outdoors I would suggest putting a rust inhibitor on the bottom if you don't want the rust to come back. I personally like the natural patina and wouldn't care either way.

I will say, if you use these as candle holders don't leave them unattended. I am not responsible for any damage that may occur if candles drip/drop or do anything unexpected!

Exoplanet is an abstract photograph taken in Vermont. This is a close up of a construction truck blade.

Professionally Laminated onto 1/4" Black Beveled MDF (medium density fiberboard). No need to frame or put under glass, you can touch and clean this with a cloth, it is completely protected by the lamination process.

This piece has a professional cut out in back and screw to hang. If you want me to float mount the piece I charge $5 more to do that, please specify if you want 'as is' or float mounted 1/2 inch.

The Vermont Bauble Clock is an open ended Edition of Clocks made from found objects begotten in Vermont. I am inspired by the lost, the tossed and the disused scrap that is found in barns, dumps or hidden away basements.

I clean and degrease as much crud as will come off of all the pieces, in some instances I highlight with paint or cover with varnish to accentuate the metal. This particular piece is made from a drinking basin for cows. It is untouched, the patina is absolutely gorgeous! Found washer, hand painted clock hands and ring complete the face of the clock. Below the piece I have mounted a found coil.

Clock is lightweight and ready to hang. Clock comes with warranty and takes one AA 1.5 battery (not included).

This series of 10 Wall Art Clocks is made entirely from found objects (save for the quartz clock, paint and hardware).

The base of the clock is made from a found piece of aluminum which I have cut into squares. Found board has been painted and varnished as are the clock hands.

The bottom part of this clock is comprised of two farm machinery coils (used to rake hay with) which have been cut and cold welded together as well as onto the clock body. All ten clocks are as close to identical as can be expected...let it be known that the original found aluminum had fallen off of a vehicle and was bent in places as well as scuffed up: these are not perfectly fabricated zombies, they have character and grit. I have cleaned and scrubbed with degreaser as well as steel wool to make it shiny but intentionally NOT PERFECTLY PRISTINE. This sturdy little clock is lightweight and has invisible rays of happiness wafting from it 24/7.

This edition of Contemporary Wall Clocks is made entirely from RR Fish Tie Plates and Found Objects. All 100 Clocks are unique one of a kind pieces. RR Plates are the things on the railroad tracks that the rails connect to. They range in sizes, and are all rectangular with holes in them for the RR spikes to go through.

I have collected a variety of plates and added interesting found objects, or 'baubles' to each one. These are perfect wall clocks that are sure to add a bit of history and dare I say, intrigue to your art collection. A half inch box has been welded to the backside to float the piece and protect the clock movement from being pressed against the wall. Most clocks can hang on the wall without any problem, if uncertain use a stud finder or use a plate holder to display your clock on a shelf or table top.

Made in the USA Quartz Clocks take one AA 1.5 battery (not included). Certificate of Authenticity as well as Clock Warranty are included. Clocks are signed and numbered on the backside.

*it is IMPOSSIBLE to take decent pictures of these laminated photos as there is glare reflecting with a camera that doesn't exist in real life.

Chained is a photograph taken in Vermont. This is a close up of a huge tire with chains that I spotted in the woods during logging season.

Professionally Laminated onto 1/4" Black Beveled MDF (medium density fiberboard). No need to frame or put under glass, you can touch and clean this with a cloth, it is completely protected by the lamination process.

This piece has a professional cut out in back and screw to hang. If you want me to float mount the piece I charge $10 more to do that, please specify if you want 'as is' or float mounted 1/2 inch.

Metal Art, Hemp & Acrylic. Hemp wrapped through the plate for texture and color to frame the painted center circles. This is one of the first three plates I ever found, brought home, and worked on. Its hieroglyphic in appearance...think of it as owning a piece of "the beginning". Wired to hang/looks great on a shelf. (try to ignore the glare in the center of the piece, it doesn't exist in reality)

The copper plates have copper wire strung through them, copper wire is also strung through the electric plate. Painted washers match the top and bottom of the plate and a bright yellow fills the middle. Its a lively piece that has a nautical energy to it. Wired to hang/looks great on a shelf.

The Wonder Horse is a C-Print that has been laminated onto a 1/4" black beveled MDF (medium density fiberboard). The lamination means you dont have to frame this in glass and can easily wipe it a soft cloth to clean dust. The Photograph is mounted to a cut up foundry pattern from an old saw mill in VT. An old barrel band serves and the 'frame' for this lightweight/sturdy piece.

The Wonder Horse is a child's carousel horse that I found in an old ravine on a dairy farm. I photographed him and later went back to rescue him!
