I made this necklace with a mixture of my "teeny" and "tiny" hydrangea blooms. I selected flowers at random and assembled them in a random pattern. Made of sterling silver and finished with a whitened oxide, these flowers look very much like natural white hydrangeas.

The main flower cluster is attached to a sterling silver 1.7mm cable chain. Just off center is another 3 petal hydrangea bloom, this little blossom is detailed both front and back, so it can never be upside down. All pieces are permanently attached to the chain, making this a necklace rather than a pendant.

Total length of the necklace is 16", designed with a gentle curve to follow the natural neckline. The central cluster is 1 1/4" across, and approx. 3/4" tall.

All the edges of the flowers and the raised veins on the petals have been lightly burnished to highlite the fine details and give it a silvery sparkle.

Signed P.Irla, copyright, and .925, this piece is sealed with a clear matt lacquer to prevent tarnish.

This highly detailed five petal hydrangea is made of sterling silver that has been given a whitened oxide finish. Each of these earrings is assemble from a random selection of my "teeny tiny" blossoms and my "tiny" blossoms. They are assembled in a random but similar pattern. Each time these are made they will vary slightly, just like the real thing. Two different sized blooms make up each pair.

Made of solid sterling silver and finished with a white oxide, they look very much like the actual white hydrangea blossoms. The tiny veins in the petal are lightly burnished to reveal a silvery sparkle. Very delicate looking.

I've set three very fine, very white, very well cut round diamonds into the surface of this 18k yellow gold band. With its tool marks and textures, the primitive feel of the cast band is in sharp contrast to the precision of the diamond cutting. I have assembled this little pendant from a random selection of my "teeny" and my "tiny" 3 petal hydrangea blooms. The pendant moves freely, suspended on the 16" long, 1.7mm sterling cable chain. I have cut the chain just off center and inserted another 3 petal flower. This little piece is detailed with a flower on both sides. Two blossoms back to back, so it doesn't matter if it were to spin and flip, you always see the blossom.

The pendant, chain, and extra flower in the chain, are all made of sterling silver. The flowers are all finished with a whitened oxide, making them resemble the real flower. They are sealed with a clear lacquer to prevent tarnish and maintain the color. The little fine raised veins of the bloom are burinshed to add a silvery sparkle.

If you look closely you can see that I have made these flowers as a mirror image left and rignt.

Ginkgo earrings with tiny 18k insect

Hand cast bronze Ginkgo leaves, each slightly different. One leaf has a tiny, 2.2mm x 3.4mm, solid 18k green gold Japanese Beetle riveted to it. The bronze leaves measure 7/8" wide and have a very nice mottled green patina, and they hang from solid 18k yellow gold wires.

Each time I make these they have silght variations in the patina, and the location of the insect may be different. This makes each pair one of a kind.

The patina has been sealed with a clear matt lacquer and requires no maintenance, but they must not be put into any commercial liquid jewelry cleaners.

Small Geranium Leaf With 18k Ladybug

Just a little bit bigger than my "tiny geranium leaf" these steling silver leaves have a very dark gray surface oxidation. The edges have been polished for a little bit of sparkle. On one leaf I have riveted a hand carved solid 18k yellow gold ladybug. This tiny ladybug is only 2.5mm long.

The leaves measure 14mm, and they are finished with solid 18k yellow gold earwires.

To the ancient egyptians, the scarab beetle represented the begining of the reincarnate life cycle. A reminder that if you do not live an honorable life, you may come back next time as the lowest form of life, the dung beetle.

I made these tiny scarab studs of sterling silver and gave them a heavily oxidized black finish. These little scarabs are highly detailed and measure 6mm x 4mm (1/8" x 1/4")

They are finished with heavyweight sterling silver posts and earnuts.

This is a beautiful, highly detailed little 4 petal hydrangea blossom. Made of sterling silver and the oxidized to a very dark gray. The edges and the fine raised veins of this flower have been lightly burnished to give them a bit of silver sparkle.

Finished with heavy weight sterling posts and earnuts. Each earring is just slightly different. They each measure 7/16" (11 mm).

This is my medium size three petal hydrangea. Made of sterling silver, these blossoms measure 5/8" (14mm). The flowers are finished with a whitened oxide finish and the fine raised veins and the edges of the blossom are burnished to give these flowere a little silver sparkle.

They are finished with solid 14k yellow gold earwires on loops, to give these earrings a bit of movement. Each earring is signed P.Irla, 14k, copyright, and .925.

Little pairs of Japanese Maple seeds. Hand cast in solid bronze, and finished with a rich brown patina, they almost look like the real thing. Solid 18k yellow gold wires complete these simple and elegant earrings.
