Earth Elemental, Altars on the Wind series I

$33.00
Altars on the Wind:
First of all, these beauties are true to their name and won’t sit still for their portraits. Most of the photos I tried to take of them were blurry because of this so I apologize for the lack of good images. I know it might be hard to trust me on this, but they are so, so much better in person - I promise!

Now, what are they exactly? Not wind chimes, not sun catchers - although some do look superb with sunshine streaming through them. They are pieces of art meant for reflection, beauty, and for increasing certain kinds of energy based on the gemstones used. Anyone who has small children, rambunctious animal friends, or perhaps can’t openly display an altar might want one around. They are wonderful for hanging over an office space/computer desk, or near a bed, over a full altar, or my favorite, over the kitchen sink. Dishes are not so difficult to get to with a beautiful reminder of the Goddess nearby.

This is so beautiful and "alive"! I truly wish I could capture the energy on camera. This piece would be perfect for anyone looking for grounding Earth energy or more connection to their totem animals/nature spirits.

The longest dangle is about 9 1/2 inches long and ends in a wonderful Moss Agate donut that's 1 3/8 inch. Flanking it are a gorgeous, handpainted ceramic wolf pendant and a rough cut Citrine point. There's also a ceramic, handpainted Owl and a beautiful Autumn Jasper donut as well.
All the stones included are:
Carnelian
Tiger Eye
Moss Agate
Aventurine
Fancy Jasper
Amber
Autumn Jasper
Bloodstone
Green Garnet
Chiastolite
Citrine

I did not get a very good photo of the wolf so if you'd like to see what that looks like please go to my Wolf Medicine earrings listing.

Since most of my Altars on the Wind have a great many gemstones included, I will not be including metaphysical properties in my descriptions. However, if you'd like that information please just convo me and I will provide it.

Most of the photos I tried to take of them were blurry because of this so I apologize for the lack of good images. Dishes are not so difficult to get to with a beautiful reminder of the Goddess nearby.

Okay, this one I would classify as a suncatcher since it would be a crime not to let these beautiful, faceted glass beads make tiny rainbows all over your wall. The small piece of driftwood I used is so unique it reminds me of a spacecraft. (well, at least one from StarTrek) The dangle hangs down 11 1/2 inches and is finished off with a 2 inch gold spiral. It's beautiful in the light!

Dishes are not so difficult to get to with a beautiful reminder of the Goddess nearby.

This is my favorite! I love the combination of these colors and energies, and it's wonderful to hang in sunlight as well.
The all natural driftwood measures about 4 inches long. The longest dangle is about 9 1/2 inches and is finished off with a Goddess pendant. It was sold to me as Turquoise, but I'm pretty certain that it's dyed Howlite because of the weight. Either way, she's beautiful and substantial - almost 2 inches long.
Other stones included:
Honey Calcite (the large drop)
Citrine
Turquoise
Amber
Aragonite

Since most of my Altars on the Wind have a great many gemstones included, I will not be including metaphysical properties in my descriptions. Most of the photos I tried to take of them were blurry because of this so I apologize for the lack of good images. Dishes are not so difficult to get to with a beautiful reminder of the Goddess nearby.

This piece is delicate, a bit feminine, but don't assume that means it's just for looks. These stones are very effective, in my opinion, at increasing love (particulary self-love) and joy.

The all natural driftwood measures about 4 1/2 inches and the longest dangle is about 7 inches (not including the ribbon to hang the altar). Each dangle is finished off with a substantial pendant of Rhodocrosite, the center one measuring 2 inches long and the other two 1 3/8 inches. These pieces have been dyed, unfortunately, but they are still very pretty and hold a good energy. They are also beautiful with sunlight shining through them - something I tried to photograph and didn't succeed very well at. :)
Other stones included:
Rhodonite
Rose Quartz
Crackled Clear Quartz
Peridot

Since most of my Altars on the Wind have a great many gemstones included, I will not be including metaphysical properties in my descriptions. Although they look fantastic in sunlight I strongly suggest that you protect them from it so that you can enjoy their beauty for years to come.

Altars on the Wind:
First of all, these beauties are true to their name and won’t sit still for their portraits. Most of the photos I tried to take of them were blurry because of this so I apologize for the lack of good images. Dishes are not so difficult to get to with a beautiful reminder of the Goddess nearby.

This altar was so much fun to make! I love these stones, especially combined together, and it does indeed have a fairie vibe. The all natural driftwood measures about 4 inches, and the longest dangle is roughly 8 1/2 inches long (not including the ribbon for hanging). Two of the dangles end in beautiful Flourite points, the center one is 1 1/2 inches and the smaller one is 3/4 inch long. The other two dangles end in a 1 1/2 inch fairie charm and a sweet little toadstool bead. Other stones included:
Amethyst
Rose Quartz
Amazonite
Peruvian Blue Opal
Lilac stone

Since most of my Altars on the Wind have a great many gemstones included, I will not be including metaphysical properties in my descriptions. Dishes are not so difficult to get to with a beautiful reminder of the Goddess nearby.

I'm offering here the first one I made in honor of the Moon Goddess, Luna (Roman) or Selene (Greek). A beautiful, full-figured white Howlite goddess carving hangs from the center dangle. She's flanked on one side by a Mother of Pearl crescent moon and on the other side by a spiral and cluster of stars (Mother of Pearl and Hematite). Other gemstones include:
Lapis
Blue Lace Agate
Rainbow Moonstone
Angelite
Obsidian

The all natural driftwood measures about 4 inches, and the longest dangle measures about 7 inches long. This does not include the length of the ribbon at the top.

Since most of my Altars on the Wind have a great many gemstones included, I will not be including metaphysical properties in my descriptions. Deep blue Lapis is combined with Sea Sediment Jasper, also called Variscite. The Ying Yang symbol is an intarsia pendant, meaning the two gemstones were glued together with an industrial adhesive and then were carved and sanded together as one piece. The effect is stunning.

The necklace measures about 18 inches in length and the Ying Yang pendant measures 1 1/2 inches across.

If you need more information about the metaphysical properties of the gemstones please convo me.

Fire Bird Necklace, inspired by S.J. Tucker's song

$37.00
I was inspired to make this piece by listening to the fabulous song by S.J. Tucker. Here are a few of the lyrics:

To see a maiden dance around a fire
is not so strange,
but fire dances round the limbs
of this uncommon maid.
Be brave enough to burn
and you'll be brave enough to fly!
Join your sister Solace
as she lights the morning sky.

I am the Firebird, I am his daughter,
I am the Firebird's child...
I am the Firebird,
the boldest song you've ever heard,
join in the dance and make it
wild, wild, wild, wild, wild!!

Wonders of the water, earth and air
are all the same,
but you'll never know a wonder
like the wonders of the flame.
Freely fly as what you are
and never walk in shame.
You must not fear to blister
if you live a life in flame!

I am the Firebird, I am his daughter,
I am the Firebird's child,
and like the flames
I am wild, wild, wild, wild, wild!!!

This is a truly unique and eye-popping necklace. The colors are so vibrant and striking together. The deep reddish-orange of Carnelian and the bold red of the Crab Fire Agate are perfect compliments to the black Obsidian - a volcanic glass. Could that be more perfect for a fire necklace? The Firebird is 3 pieces of variscite, measuring in total 2 1/2 by 2 1/4 inches. The entire necklace measures about 21 inches long and is finished off with a goldtone toggle clasp.

This is a true conversation piece, excellent for ritual and any other time you need some strong Fire energy! For more information about the metaphysical properties of the stones please convo me.

After this night, sunlight will very slowly begin to increase and green growth will gradually return to the natural world. This Sabbat is a celebration of the returning light and life. Many bring evergreen decorations, Holly berries and Mistletoe into their homes as symbols of this return. Many celebrate by reenacting the battle between the Oak and Holly Kings, with the Oak King winning to rule the coming time of greater light. As with Midsummer, this Sabbat’s counterpart, it is also a time strongly associated with the Fairie realm.

In this painting, as the sun rises the Spiral Dancer has gathered wood in preparation for a fire. Even though the scene is empty and barren she has the ability to keep herself warm, and the promise of new life returns with the Dawn.

She is part of the Spiral Dance Collection which portrays the goddesses as a mix of human features and expressions of energy, which flow out from their hands and feet as spirals but can also be expressed through other elements associated with them. She is faceless so that each individual can imagine the features that they need to see in order to have a personal connection with her.

Acid-free cardstock, 5 ½ by 8 ½ inches
Shipped with a white envelope in a protective sleeve and a sturdy cardboard mailer.

The Crone aspect of the Goddess is now replaced with the Maiden aspect, as the land grows more fertile. This Sabbat is most often associated with the Goddess Brigid. Many fill there houses with candles and honor her by making Brigid Crosses from the wheat of last years harvest. Brigid is a goddess of creativity, fertility, protection and fire.

In this painting, the Spiral Dancer seems to represent Brigid herself, as she glows deeply from within. It’s still rather barren and cold outside but she is warm, comforting herself by the fireplace. Upon her altar is a goblet of milk to honor the renewed fertility of the Earth.

She is part of the Spiral Dance Collection which portrays the goddesses as a mix of human features and expressions of energy, which flow out from their hands and feet as spirals but can also be expressed through other elements associated with them. Festivals to honor the Fire God Bel often have people leaping over fires to ensure fertility for the year to come. The Goddess takes on the role of Mother, and the Great Marriage of the Goddess and God is celebrated. The Maypole, as a symbol of sacred sexual union, is erected for dancers to weave ribbons around in honor of this marriage and to promote the union of those wishing to find a partner.

In this painting, the Spiral Dancer leaps wildly and joyfully over a fire. Symbols of the Gods surround her, and the Sun, or Bel, shines intensely down upon her.

She is part of the Spiral Dance Collection which portrays the goddesses as a mix of human features and expressions of energy, which flow out from their hands and feet as spirals but can also be expressed through other elements associated with them.
Moon Dancer - original watercolor print

$15.00
The Moon Dancer is one of the first Spiral Dancers in the collection. In my mind, she is the sister of Sun Singer - opposites, yet equals. They both carry within them a secret code, a language of power that only they can understand. The Moon Dancer is about High Energy - both the kind she can create with her dancing and the kind she can create with her thoughts, Joy, Healing, Protection, and Connection to the Greater Universe. Around her falls an intense Meteor Shower, as if the night sky was announcing her glory.

The image is 6 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches on acid-free cardstock measuring 8 1/2 by 11.

Each print will be signed and dated by the artist, and shipped in a protective sleeve and sturdy cardboard mailer.

They measure just over an inch long
(not including the earwire). A red Coral crescent moon sits over a small Blackstone bead and a freshwater pearl. I'm sorry for the lack of images - I tried, really. Apparently they are trying to keep an air of mystery about them.
They are handpainted ceramic so every one is a little bit different. This way they get to show off a bit of personality. I chose green garnet, aventurine, fancy jasper and little faceted red garnet drops to keep them company while they dangle from your ears.
The dragons measure approximately 1 1/2", and total earring length is roughly 2" when being worn. They hang from surgical steel fishhooks (in order to avoid possible allergies to other metals).

It is the Witch’s New Year’s Eve, and is a time when the veil between the worlds is thin. Because of this, many celebrate by setting a special place at a feast dedicated to honoring loved ones that have passed away. This is also the time where many forms of divination are used to plan for the coming year.

In this painting the Spiral Dancer raises her arms in both farewell and greeting as the sun sets. She is alone with the natural elements, deeply quiet as the power of this magical time resonates within her.

Image is 6 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches on acid-free cardstock measuring 8 1/2 by 11.

Each print will be signed and dated by the artist, and shipped in a protective sleeve and sturdy cardboard mailer.

Love Thyself Goddess Dangle/Charm

$23.00
This goddess charm was created for any woman (or younger girl, teenager, etc) who needs a little boost in her self-esteem. Stones included are Rhodonite, Rose Quartz, Rhodocrosite, Citron ("lemon chrysoprase") and crackled Clear Quartz. The first three stones are traditionally used to increase feelings of love, joy, and happiness. Many people use them for relationship issues, but I feel that they are particulary good at making you feel better about yourself regardless of what's going on with any other loved one. Citron, the minty green colored stone, is helpful for feeling relaxed and at peace, and Clear Quartz enhanced the energy of the other stones.

The goddess is polymer clay and was created with a mold. She has the word "love" carved into the back of the image, and chips of the stones around the edges. The entire length of the dangle (not including the loop with the clasp) is 9 1/2 inches, with the goddess measuring 3 by 1 3/4 inches.

I've made it with a loop and clasp so that it can easily be hung on a bed post, shelf hook, or any other convenient place where it can be seen. (I do not recommend hanging it from a rearview mirror since it is a large dangle and the polymer clay goddess is somewhat fragile) I personally believe that the stones will affect the energy of the person, but just the image can have a powerful affect also.

Upon purchasing, if you tell me how you intend to use this piece (not meaning specific names or info, just an overview of the situation) I can also do subject-specific Reiki on it to increase the positive energy that the charm can emit.

Never the less, she just showed up out of nowhere and this is the end result. After doing some research I discovered that she is seen as the guardian and protector of the Women's Mysteries, and there are many fascinating takes on the old myths about her circulating on the web.

She is made of polymer clay and is mounted on a wooden circle that was then glued to the box. Her eye is a glittering crystal (all the better for reflecting the truth of who you are)
and she is surrounded by Garnet, Bloodstone, and Blackstone beads as well as plenty of coppery glitter (is there ever enough glitter?...well, not for some of us) I painted the box earthy reds and coppers to represent the Women's blood mysteries.

The box measures 3 1/4 by 3 1/4 inches and is about 2" deep.

Sweet Dreams Mother and Child Dangle/Ornament/Charm

$27.00
I was inspired by all the mothers I know who are sleep deprived due to new babies or toddlers who are having night terrors, etc. (myself included of course!) So this peaceful mother and baby were formed out of a strong desire to be more rested and to pass that blessing on to someone else in need as well.

The mother and child are made of polymer clay, as is the little "Dream" bead. They are glued to a sturdy wooden circle that is surrounded with gemstones that I find help with relaxation, sleep and good dreams. They include Kyanite, Angelite, Peruvian Blue Opal, Amazonite, Lapis Lazuli, Blue Lace Agate, Citron ("lemon Chrysoprase"), Rainbow Moonstone, Turquoise, and Mother of Pearl Star beads.

The dangle is substancial in weight and measures roughly 7 inches long (not including the circular hanger with the clasp) and is 3 inches across the widest part of the circle.

Visually speaking, it can serve as a reminder to a mother to deepen her breathing, relax her shoulders, etc while she is up late nursing or rocking a fussy baby. And if hung near a bed or crib, in my opinion, the stones and the intentions of the owner can aid in the actual relaxation and sleep of the child and mother.

If you would like me to add Reiki to the charm please just let me know in the message box.

The shelves are stocked with books, herbs and the mortar and pestel to grind them, gemstones, even a little crystal ball and dark mirror for scrying! Her wee hat is perched near a bowl of stars, and her familiar, a white striped cat, sleeps nearby. There's so much detail that the pictures barely do it justice.

The cabinet measures about 9 and a half inches tall (to the tip of the tallest candle) and 6 and a half inches wide at the base, which is felted on the bottom. Clear Quartz, Jasper, Citrine, Snow Quartz, Lepidolite, Mother of Pearl and Apatite gemstones are included.
The Wheel of the Year- Mabon Greeting Card

$3.50
Mabon takes place on or near the Autumn Equinox, and is considered the second harvest. As with Ostara, this is a time of balance, when the light and dark are equal. This is a time for seeking balance and peace with ourselves by letting go of old regrets and arguments, and finding forgiveness for others as well as ourselves. It is a time for healing and reflection. Many give offerings to the Trees of Cider or Mead. The Goddess moves into her Crone aspect and the God, representative of the Sun and the grains, symbolically dies and awaits rebirth in the Spring.

In this painting, the Spiral Dancer settles down for the long darkness to come. Her branches are bare but in her lap is the overflowing abundance of the harvest, for which she is grateful. She is grounded, quite literally, with her roots deep within the earth. Their strong life energy remains, although hidden from sight.

Acid-free cardstock, 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches
Shipped with a white envelope in a protective sleeve and sturdy cardboard mailer.

She is part of the Spiral Dance Collection which portrays the goddesses as a mix of human features and expressions of energy, which flow out from their hands and feet as spirals but can also be expressed through other elements associated with them. They are sure to get attention and start conversations!
Note: These are heavier earrings so if you're sensitive to that you may not be able to wear them.

This little beauty is still bundled up beneath her moss blanket, pleasantly lost in dreamland for a few brief moments longer. Soon Spring will be in full swing, and she'll be very busy.

Lucky is a OOAK polymer clay creation of mine. Beside her cozy nest is a beautiful drusy Amethyst point, and around her are scattered signs of early spring - including some remaining snow!
The nest measures approximately 2 inches wide, and with Lucky in it 2 inches high. The base she sleeps on is a 4 inch circle and felted on the bottom. The twig that her nest is attached to sticks out on both sides of the base by an inch or so.

Not meant for small children. Decorative item only.

Wheel of the Year - Samhain - large 11X17 print

$25.00
Image is 16 1/2 by 10 1/4 inches on acid-free cardstock measuring 11 by 17 inches. Each print will be signed by the artist and shipped flat in a protective sleeve and very sturdy cardboard mailer.

Samhain marks the beginning and the end of the Wheel of the Year.

$25.00
Image is 16 1/2 by 10 1/4 inches on acid-free cardstock measuring 11 by 17 inches. Each print will be signed by the artist and shipped flat in a protective sleeve and sturdy cardboard mailer.

Each print will be signed by the artist and shipped flat in a protective sleeve and sturdy cardboard mailer.

Midsummer, or Litha, takes place on or near the Summer Solstice which is the longest day of the year. From here on out the daylight hours slowly decline until Winter Solstice. The Goddess is pregnant and ripe with the promise of the harvest soon to come. This is a time for charging and clearing crystals with the strongest sunshine of the year, as well as a time to honor and work with the Fairies. The twilight of this shortest night of the year can be an important gateway to their realm, energetically speaking. Many also celebrate the turning of the year with a reenactment of the battle between the Holly and Oak Kings, with the Holly King winning to rule over the time of coming darkness.

In this painting, the Spiral Dancer is the pregnant Mother Goddess embracing all of nature. The abundance of intense green growth is intoxicating. Pictured with her is a white deer with a single horn - a real animal that many believe has been born to signal a time of great change. The fairies light up the air around them and there is a sense of peace of joyful, yet subdued, celebration.

She is part of the Spiral Dance Collection which portrays the goddesses as a mix of human features and expressions of energy, which flow out from their hands and feet as spirals but can also be expressed through other elements associated with them. Each print will be signed by the artist and shipped flat in a protective sleeve and very sturdy cardboard mailer.

Beltane is opposite Samhain on the Wheel of the Year and is also a time when the veil is thin.

$25.00
Image is 16 1/2 by 10 1/4 inches on acid-free cardstock measuring 11 by 17 inches. Each print will be signed by the artist and shipped flat in a protective sleeve and very sturdy cardboard mailer.

Ostara occurs on or near the Spring Equinox, when day and night are equal. It is a time of balance where unnecessary things, thoughts and habits are thrown away to make room for the new. The Anglo-Saxon Dawn Goddess Eostre, who’s symbols are the rabbit and egg, gained her greatest influence during this time of year. It is no coincidence that the modern symbols of Easter remain the same, or that the day Easter is celebrated changes from year to year based on when the first full moon after the equinox occurs.

In this painting the Spiral Dancer is gently yet steadily growing. She sits upon and within rich, fertile soil that is preparing to support the intense greening soon to come. She is youthful, but wise.

Imbolc brings with it the first small signs of Spring.

Wheel of the Year - Yule - Large 11X17 print

$25.00
Image is 16 1/2 by 10 1/4 inches on acid-free cardstock measuring 11 by 17. Each print will be signed by the artist and shipped flat in a protective sleeve and very sturdy cardboard mailer.

Yule occurs on or close to the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year.

The pressed Baltic Amber just comes alive, not to mention the rainbows that the crystal scatters across the wall. Other stones include Garnet, Citrine, and Carnelian. At the top is a spiral where a tiny, detailed ceramic owl bead hangs. Truly one of a kind!

The Wheel of the Year- Lammas Greeting Card

It used to be common for farmers to “sacrifice” to the Earth the last sheaf of the first field cut in thanks for the harvest and to ensure the return of the fertility of the land. Many now celebrate by making their own Corn King which they burn or cut down as a symbolic offering. Many also bake bread in honor of the wheat and corn gathered from the harvest.

In this painting, the Spiral Dancer joyfully moves through the fields, some of which are already cut down and some of which are still green. Hints of the dark time of the year are in the air, but she is filled with Gratitude for what the land has given her.

Acid-free cardstock, 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches
Shipped with a white envelope in a protective sleeve and sturdy cardboard mailer.
The Wheel of the Year- Ostara Greeting Card

She is part of the Spiral Dance Collection which portrays the goddesses as a mix of human features and expressions of energy, which flow out from their hands and feet as spirals but can also be expressed through other elements associated with them.

The image is 6 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches on acid-free cardstock measuring 8 1/2 by 11.

Each print will be signed and dated by the artist, and shipped in a protective sleeve and sturdy cardboard mailer.

The Wheel of the Year - Mabon, original watercolor print

$15.00

Image is 6 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches on acid-free cardstock measuring 8 1/2 by 11

Each print will be signed and dated by the artist and shipped in a protective sleeve and sturdy cardboard mailer.

She is part of the Spiral Dance Collection which portrays the goddesses as a mix of human features and expressions of energy, which flow out from their hands and feet as spirals but can also be expressed through other elements associated with them.
