Ideally framed in an 11x14 frame. Will be shipped in sturdy chipboard, in manilla envie.

Artist Sarah Zamora reserves all rights to the image.

Image 1: Photo of Actual Print
Image 2: Photo of the original art, on 8.5x11" paper
Image 3: Print in 11x14" frame (not included)
Image 4: macro photo of detail
Image 5: Buy 3 of this print, frame them and place side by side for a GREAT triptych effect!

Original Mixed Media artwork by Sarah Zamora, created August 21st, 2009. image is 8.5x11 inches, on paper.

titled: "community utopia'.
This piece is about how the perfect group fits together...full of different personalities, talents, strengths, weaknesses, shapes, sizes, etc, we lend each other our strengths when we connect. Building together, we influence one another and accomplish so much more than we ever could on our own.

Part of the fun about this piece is that it is made almost entirely from cast-off items! All the paper it's composed of is old church bulletin cardstock (journey series!) that was clean, and saved by me from the dumpster. Most of the paint was applied from my art student's palettes....they tend to pour out too much! The mesh and tulle (6 pieces, some clearly visible) is leftover from a tutu making party. It's 97% upcycled!

this piece has layers of various media, including: vintage dictionary page, several colors of inks, watercolor & acrylic paints, pigment powders, etc.

Thanks for being a fan!
Sarah Zamora,
aka:
Original Youth

I wanted to paint a simple, yet striking piece to end the month. The 'remembering' part is two-fold; first, to Ophelia's monologue, where she 'remembers' the flowers as she melts into insanity', and the second is a remembrance of my Grandfather, Carey Looney. Though we lost him to Cancer when I was just 13, I have amazing memories, and it made me sentimental as I created today. This piece is an ode to beauty, both current and fading, and a celebration of creation itself.
Ideally framed in an 11x14 frame. Will be shipped in sturdy chipboard, in manilla envie.

Artist Sarah Zamora reserves all rights to the image.

Image 1: Is scanned, but the 'original youth.com' watermark will not appear on your print, of course
Image 2: Photo of the art, shown on original 9x12 W/C paper
Image 3: Studio shot of the piece in Progress!
Image 4: macro photo of detail

The original piece of art was created 08/14/2009 for give-a-way 08/16/2009 to my 'Original Youth' facebook fans.

artist's statement: below the layers, glamour, dust and drama of our day-to-day lives, what matters is something far beyond ourselves. The base layer of this mixed media piece is a page torn from a 1963 Webster's dictionary, with the definition of 'Cross' listed on the middle of the right-hand side. This piece uses that text and supporting images as the framework for the composition.

this piece has layers of various media, including: vintage dictionary page, several colors of inks, watercolor & acrylic paints, pigment powders, etc.

Live OUTSIDE the box, ORIGINAL acrylic painting on canvas

$55.00
Why would you want to live IN the box? That's no fun. Have some spark, an adventure, and get out of your rut. This piece of art evokes a sense of originality; can you handle it?

Vibrant orange and yellow spark from fields of pretty blues and turquoise. Aqua accents, a bit of green and black, there's lots of color to help your transition from BLAH to bold! 3 red circles loosely invite you on a journey.

Okay, enough creative rambling. It's just good art. One of a kind, always, never to be duplicated. You are an original, why shouldn't your art be?

12x12, art acrylics on canvas. Sides are crisply painted in a streak of rusty orange and bold red. Back stapled, no framing required, ready to hang.

One of a kind piece, created October 25th, 2007. Initialed by artist on front, signed and titled on back.

Ideally framed in an 11x17 frame with an 8x10" mat opening.

Created 08/07/2009 for give-a-way 08/09/2009 on my 'Original Youth' facebook.

artist's statement: The activities of day to day life get extremely redundant. The future that we imagined for ourselves is typically abandoned, due to financial hardship, marital compromise, parenthood, physcial limitations, or the must-have corporate lifestyle. We sometimes feel sorry for ourselves, daydreaming while doing daily chores (again), and wondering what else is out there. This piece is a bit of an escape of the mind; thoughts about travel, fortune, luck, and a more luxurious lifestyle, a fleeting momentary thought before we refocus on the task at hand, ground ourselves in the stability of the life we have now, and joyfully set out to live another day with abandon. (secretly, it's a bit of a subliminal 'shout out' to once independent women who are now stay-at-home-moms, but you can interpret what you will, or just like it visually).

this piece has loads of layers of various media, including: map of Seattle area, dry cleaning ticket, scrapbook paper (measuring tapes), bingo ticket, fortune from a cookie, church bulletins, tissue paper (tan and white), several colors of inks, watercolor & acrylic paints, pigment powders, lava gel, handmade mulberry paper, and other stuff I added.
