It may be snowing outside, but the Burpee seed catalog came today and I'm already thinking of Spring! These sweet, delicate flowers look just like a Columbine flower, with cornflower blue outer petals, a purple center with a pink swarovski crystal "stamen". Made from lucite, they may look delicate but these are earrings you can live in, toss in the jewelry box and not have to baby, because they are practically unbreakable! They dangle from a 14kt goldfill french earwire.

The outer blue flower is 1" across, so they are noticable, but not overpowering.

Handcrafted lampwork glass beads are the focus of this necklace and earring set. With great depth and color variations in blues, greens, golds and creams, the beads remind me of storm clouds, or what the earth would look like from space. I LoVe, LoVe, LoVe how this pendant came out! The iolite stones vary in hue from periwinkle blue to tanzanite purple and are a beautiful, cool contrast to the icy sterling silver. Yellow is the hot color of the season, and since my last name is Lemons, I'm happy about that! This bracelet was inspired by the little enamaled lemon charm dangling from the end of this bracelet. Made with bright pink vintage glass beads (the 4 larger ones), I've mixed in some light pink Swarovski bicones and some clear Swarovski cubes. I've been watching way too much television lately, including the "So You Think You Can Dance" show and have been inspired to create this ooak collage. Starting with a 12x12 piece of artist bristol board, I've painted a sky and dotted it with silver stars, added music, an original papercut of dancers dancing on a floor of crushed mica and a curtain of lush green velvet complete with gold cording and tassle tie back. A copper moon with a blue star dangle hangs in the sky. Comes with black velvet ribbon for hanging, and was recently featured in a "romance" treasury!

These lyrics were my inspiration as I made this necklace. The bluebird in enameled onto a sterling silver base (enameled both front and back) and strung with sterling silver and Swarovski crystal beads in a blue grey color called "black diamond". The necklace itself is 19", the the blue bird pendant adds an additional 1 1/2". I've added a sterling silver lobster claw clasp and 1 1/2" of chain, so it can be shortened slightly. The pendant is not removable.

Over the Rainbow Necklace

I love the movie "The Wizard of Oz" and never tire of watching it every holilday season. I'm an eternal optimist and the phrase "if happy little bluebirds fly over the rainbow, why can't I?" seems to resonate with me. That is the inspiration behind this necklace.

A sterling silver bird (swallow) soars over a rainbow of Swarovski crystals. The center portion of the necklace is the bird and rainbow, and then it tapers into a sterling silver curb link chain, and then tapers down again to a small guage of sterling chain, and clasps with a sterling lobster claw. The necklace is about 20", but can be shortened simply by clasping it into a different portion of the chain.
