Recycled cashmere heart pillow -- pink, fuchsia, lipstick, petal, hot pink

$30.00
If anyone ever invents a computer monitor that allows you to touch the item in the picture, I would sell a million of these hearts. I wish you could feel what it's like to run your fingers through hundreds of strips of 100% cashmere. It's heaven on earth. Trust me.

This very cool and different pillow is completely recycled except for the thread used to sew it together! The little cashmere strips came from thrift shop cashmere sweaters that I've washed and dried to bring out the most in the fiber. The base fabric is a wool plaid taken from a recycled jumper. The strips are inserted one by one by one. It's time-consuming, but the effect is really amazing. Nuances of color, texture, and softness.

The pillow is stuffed with offcuts from cashmere, wool, and other projects that fill my dining room. Just ask my husband. My house is a "scrappy" place.

I envision this hanging on the wall of a treasured daughter or niece. I can see it on a coat rack or hanging from a curtain rod. It would be fabulous on a chair or bed. I can guarantee no one else has one.

The colors are brighter than the other pillows I'm selling. This one is for the party girl. Brighter, louder, more attitude.

The heart measures 9 inches wide and 7 inches tall. It's substantial. It is not intended for children under age 3 unless it's kept out of reach. The small strips are inserted in and out of the wool but are not sewn in. They present a choking hazard.

My friend, Christy, gave me the idea to patchwork the sweaters and the Christy Bag was born.

There are more than 10 different sweaters incorporated into this bag. The sweaters are felted, cut into 3-inch squares, sewn together one-by-one-by-one, and made into the bag you see.

The width of one side of the bag is 15-inches (5 squares wide) and is about 12 inches deep. Straps are 27 inches of patterned nylon webbing. The bag is fully interfaced and lined with a great red pattern. There are 2 inside pockets and a magnetic snap closure.

Want to get noticed? Want to have people offer to buy the bag off your back? This is your new bag.

Machine wash inside out on gentle cycle and lay flat to dry.

No thrift shop is safe from my clawing hands.

The flower is made using a rug-hooking technique called "proddy." Little strips of fabric are drawn through using a spring-loaded tool. Very fun and addicting, as you can tell from all the proddy items in my shop.

The button in the center is vintage, carved shell. Very sweet. The flower measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Pin back securely hand-sewn.

I love the holidays and, even though the kids are just going back to school, I'm getting ready.

This pin is made from a recycled wool skirt, both the beautiful red fabric and the great tartan plaid used for the back. The button is new. The flower is made using a rug-hooking technique called "proddy."

This would look fantastic on a purse or handbag or even on your coat.
Sleigh Bell Door Hanger with Holly Leaves

I also love the sound of old sleigh bells. Both remind me of Christmas past -- Currier & Ives, stockings hung on a mantel, sprigs of holly tucked into beautifully wrapped gifts.

This door hanger will jingle happily every time you open or close the door. The wool fabric keeps the metal bell from scratching your door.

Everything is recycled -- the holly leaves are made one-at-a-time from a recycled wool sweater. The plaids and tartans are from thrift shop skirts. The sleigh bells are vintage as are the buttons used.

Because each door hanger is handmade, pattern placement will vary as will size of holly leaves and buttons used. If you have a preference for one big button versus several smaller buttons, let me know in the seller comments and I will make it happen until stock runs low.

In that time I bet I've made about 10 red sweaters, either for me or for others. So...I have a lot of red yarn bits around the house. One afternoon I gathered them all up and VOILA! I had enough for this great bag.

There are about 5 different combinations of red yarns making up the stripes. The black chevron accent stripes are slightly raised for extra detail.

The bag measures 14 1/2 inches wide with a slight taper toward the top. It is 10 inches deep with a nice, flat bottom. The lining is a cotton fabric with an Asian feel. It reminds me of bamboo. Two inside pockets and a magnetic snap closure

The handles are recycled black leather from a thrift store purse. They measure 16 inches end-to-end with a 7 inch drop from the top of the curve to the top of the bag.

This bag is machine washable on gentle. Air dry.

Recycled cashmere scarf -- pastel with circle motif -- neckwarmer, muffler -- lavender, pale pink, sage green, ivory

$40.00
I'm very proud of these scarves. No new material is used except for the thread. The cashmere comes from old sweaters -- moth-eaten, too small, forgotten. The sweaters are washed and dried and then cut into 5 inch strips. Strips are pieced together to make up the length. Then, two strips are sewn together so the scarf is double-sided, thick, and luscious.

This scarf was very fun to make. The main portion is very pale green/yellow. Almost a beige color. There are also portions of pink, pale sage green, and ivory. The detail on the ends is reverse applique with all the colors of the scarf plus a tiny bit of periwinkle.

The scarf is 36 inches long. There is a long buttonhole on one side to allow you to pull through the opposite end and secure the scarf as tightly as you want. No extra bulk but all the warmth and softness you expect from cashmere.

The scarf can be machine washed (really!) and dried. It's already been through a whole cycle so you'll see no shrinkage, only additional softness and loft. You have to feel it to believe it.

For me, I like a little color. I like a keychain that I can find easily in my purse. I like the cushion of multiple layers of recycled wool.

The design is simple. Two layers of recycled wool form the base. Then, a penny rug design on the top. Penny rugs come from early America. Homemakers, unwilling to throw away even the smallest of scraps, would cut pits of fabric into circles using coins as templates (hence the term "penny"). The result is retro and cool.

The colors of this keychain remind me of a cozy cabin. Grey check on top, then purple, then a fab plaid of lavender, grey, and brown.

This key chain can be hand-washed if needed.

If you have a preference for one big button versus several smaller buttons, let me know in the seller comments and I will make it happen until stock runs low.

$15.00
This bracelet is made from recycled wool taken from thrift shop skirts. There are 5 different wools used plus some 100% cashmere ribbing for the backing.

Each diamond has a bit of the red wool plus a small bit of plaid. Three different plaids, all in holiday colors of red, green, black, and gold. The outermost wool is a black, grey, and white houndstooth check. The edges are slightly frayed for more texture.

The bracelet measures 2 1/4 inches by 8 1/4 inches. Buttoned, it is about 7 1/2 inches. Enough to fit securely but not tight. You can adjust the length by moving the button.

Adorable with a black or red sweater for that holiday lunch or outing. Great all year since it doesn't scream CHRISTMAS but whispers it instead with a smile lurking.

Definitely one-of-a-kind. Definitely Raging Wool. Thanks for looking.

Neoprene? Really? Could we please have a little color and pattern in our lives?

This case fits the bill with beautiful colors like lavender, petal pink, fuchsia, blue, etc. Whatever Granny crocheted the original blanket definitely had it going on.

The Granny Square blanket recycled to make this case is pure wool and was felted in the washing machine prior to disassembly.

The case measures 5 3/4 inches high and 4 inches wide with an inside measurement of 4 3/4 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide. And iTouch or iPhone fits. A Blackberry fits. The cozy is deep enough that nothing is going to go slipping out and hitting the pavement.

The cozy is lined with a recycled wool skirt. I'm a fringe lover so the lining is fringed slightly all the way around. The strap measures 8 3/4 inches and buttons securely so you can hang the cozy from your purse.

The first and second pictures show this exact cozy that you will receive. The other pictures show the detail of the fringe and lining and how the iTouch looks inside.

Recycled wool sweater messenger bag -- grey, blue, embellished

$45.00
Oh, but this is a great bag. I've been using recycled sweaters for almost 10 years. For the longest time, I cut the sweaters into 3-inch squares and patchworked them into tote bags and back packs. But, I've grown weary of the tote bag and have decided to retire the design.

This messenger bag is my new creation for the recycled sweaters. The flap is a pale heather grey with embroidery embellishment in blue, ivory, burgundy, and purple. The front of the bag is plum and the back is charcoal grey. The sides are grey embroidered with darker grey. Tons of texture on this bag. All the panels come from recycled wool sweaters.

The lining and the strap are made from a plum and white houndstooth woven wool blend fabric. One inside pocket. Magnetic snap closure on the flap.

The bag measures 10 inches wide and 9 inches deep. The side panels are 2 1/2 inches wide. Plenty big for your wallet, cell phone, keys, etc.

The strap is adjustable from 50" to 53" by means of a button and 2 sewn buttonholes. I'm 5'3" and the shorter length is just right for me. The final photo shows the button securing the strap. I have a picture of a different messenger bag on my model/friend, Lisa, so you can see where it falls on the body. Lisa is 5'7". Lucky her...

The bag is hand washable -- lay flat to dry. Super cute. Super unique. Like all my recycled creations, this one is one-of-a-kind and can't be duplicated. Ever.

$25.00
This scarf is knit from hand-dyed rayon yarn. I did NOT dye it myself, but I did knit it myself. It's a triangle scarf with very long tails. You can wear it with the point in front and the long tails wrapped twice around the neck or you can have the triangle in back and have long tails tied loosely in front.

This scarf should be hand washed due to the hand-dyeing. The colors look like the shores of Aruba to me. Turquoise blue, lime green, and shades in between plus ivory.

Many thanks to my friend, Lisa, for modeling.

This would be the perfect Mother's Day gift.
