I took this photo in Palma de Mallorca, in a courtyard next to the Royal Palace and Le Seu Cathedral grounds.

I really liked this gate, and the way the walls opened up into the center area. I waited several minutes for a group of people to pass, so I could take this photo. This one person never left, so I finally gave up and took the photo.

This photo was shot in Parc Guell, in Barcelona, which is a park designed by Antoni Gaudi. Originally designed as a gated community type housing area, this area is now a tourist site and one of the Unesco World Heritage Sites. Barcelona is full of the architecture of Gaudi, and this is one of the best places to see that work come to life. This was one of my favorite places in Barcelona.

This is one of my favorite photos from the thousands I took in Spain. It's taken from the Alcazaba in Malaga, one of my favorite spots in one of my favorite cities in Spain, a beach city on the south coast. I love flowers SO much, and there were so many in that city. From this spot you could see the bay for miles, with everything from beaches to skyscrapers. Incredible.

Malaga is the city where Picasso was born, and is so much more than a typical tourist city.

This photo is of the Le Seu cathedral in Palma de Mallorca, the main city on the main island of the Balearic Islands, to the east of Spain. This is a section of preserved original Roman Wall near the Cathedral in the Barri Gotic or the Gothic Quarter in the Old City region of Barcelona.

A lot of the pictures that I took in Barcelona were with Sepia settings. The weekend I was there was rainy and dreary, and somehow the Sepia tones suited the moment.

Last year I spent 3 months studying abroad in Spain, and was able to see a lot of the country. This photo was taken in Palma de Mallorca, the main city on the island of Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands off the East Coast of Spain.

Wonderland was taken in the Royal Palace in Palma. I was able to go inside the palace, but this area was actually closed off by a gate. I was inspired by the light and the brightness of the red gate at the end of the hallway, so I snuck my hand through to take a photo.

Moto was taken in Barcelona back in February 2008 when I was fortunate enough to get to visit the city for a weekend during my study abroad time in Spain. I fell in love with the city instantly (enough to go back on my own for another weekend a month later) and through my photos tried to capture some of what makes the city so incredible.

Something about all of these bikes just caught my attention. I actually walked by, stopped, and then went back to take the picture. I think they call out to the obsessive compulsive side of me, the way they are all lined up in a perfect row. Also, most of the pictures I took this afternoon are in Sepia, something I experimented a lot with.

During my travels in Spain, I spent my Spring Break (Semana Santa) doing a tour of Southern Spain. In Sevilla (or Seville), we toured the Alcazar, and also spent a lot of time in the royal gardens on the castle grounds. It was here I found these gorgeous orange flowers, tucked in the shadows of the larger surrounding plants.

This photo was taken at the Rambla del Mar in Barcelona, Spain, while I was lucky enough to be able to spend some time there during my study abroad travels. The Rambla is a drawbridge, and when a boat leaves, the bridge raises, and it's a pretty neat experience to watch. This spot was one of my favorite places in the entire city, which says a lot because Barcelona is an amazing city!

Castillo Postcard SDJ

This is a postcard version of the Castillo print. This castle is the Alcazar of Segovia, the city where I lived for three months while I studied in Spain, and is supposedly part of the inspiration for the Disney castle. Regardless of its Disney status, this definitely is an impressive site.

ORDER more than one and save!!! Get a second one for only .75 cents and every card above the third one for .50 cents each! Convo for a special listing!

This postcard is printed by Vistaprint, and is ready to ship upon ordering. It is matte finished, and measures 5.47 inches by 4.21 inches. The back has a 1.25 inch margin with a black and white representation of the front photo. The rest of the back is blank for writing, except for the bottom, which names the print title and date, a link to dreambirdphotos.etsy.com and a link to Vistaprint.

The magnet used in the photos is not part of the listing, but is available in our shop!
