SpindleCat Studio is pleased to be able to add animal inspired handmade copper stitch marker keepers to the shop.

You are purchasing (1) one Bunny Rabbit marker keeper.

BUNNY is made of 14 gauge copper wire that is torched, bent, annealed, bent, hammered and shaped by eye into form, then filed, polished and tumbled for strength and durability. Because each marker keeper is handmade without use of a jig the keeper you receive may vary slightly from the one in the photograph.

Use BUNNY as a knitting stitch marker keeper, a shawl pin or a pendant. The end has been sanded to a smooth point so as not to snag knitting if you would care to pin the keeper on a sweater.

Measures approx. 1-7/8" x 1.38" [4.8cm x 3.2cm]

Each "Harmony Spirals" shawl pin is handmade using three separate continuous pieces of solid copper wire. One piece, twisted and coiled to form the stick pin, the other two pieces coiled to form the holding circle and its adornments. By design, all six wire ends are protected within the the centers of a spiral in keeping with a smooth, flowing and harmonious composition.

Because these pins are made freehand without a jig, the pin you receive will look similar to the original that is photographed.

A clever feature of this pin is that one of the spiral adornments is fixed and the other slides freely around the ring. You place the slider for a symmetrical or assymetrical look as the fancy strikes you.

Can be used to pin a cherished handknit sweater, woven shawl or crochet scarf closed against the elements.

Outer diameter of circle: a bit less than 1.75" [43mm]

Handspun Art Yarn from my wedding dress - 2007 UpcycleBB Contest Entry - take something no longer useful and upcycle it to a higher purpose...

One (1) 16 yr. old size 8 country tulle style wedding dress

Cut into long thin strips and scraps using sewing shears.

Handspun into singles on a foot operated spinning wheel.

Plyed on a drop spindle.

No other material used.

Transformed into 181 yards of usable art yarn.
