This lovely compact is such a stunner -- it has a deep green enamel lid with two sprigs of asters in a lovely vintage brass tone. This compact even has its original Rex 5th Ave. powder puff and sifter screen inside!

It measures about 3.5" across and snaps shut securely. I have yet to try this, but I bet you could replace the powder in this with some of your favorite mineral makeup and take it with you wherever you go -- what a Mad Men-inspired office gal you'd be, whipping this baby out in the next staff meeting!

This lovely 1950s powder jar would be a perfect accent for a vanity or bureaus -- great storage for rings, coins or hair jewelry!

The lid appears to be vintage brass with a blue plastic cover, accented with a handpainted enamel rose medallion in the center. The glass has a great tulip design embossed around the edges. The glass has some minor fleabites to the inner rim; the lid has a bit of wear and discoloration on the blue plastic portion of the lid, but is still in wonderful condition.

It measures about 3.5" across and just under 2" tall.

This unusual pin duo is connected by 2 differing lengths of brass chain and features a heart and a dagger in deep sapphire blue rhinestones. They could be used as a sweater guard to give your not-so-innocent sweater set a bit of kick-a** attitude, or they could be worn on a lapel or a shawl or scarf.

Unmarked, in mint vintage condition. The heart measures 1.25" long and the dagger is 2.25" long. The shorter connecting chain is just about 5" long. The chain is not detachable, but with a sturdy pair of jeweler's wire cutters, you could remove it and wear a pin on happy days, and the dagger on days when you would like people to back off!

The detail and heels on the shoes are black, but I went with a palette of chocolate brown, rust, ivory, copper and gold for these shoes, so they are totally versatile.

The beading is in wonderful condition -- I can see no missing beads or loose threads. I love-love-love these shoes! Sadly, my feet will not fit in them, so here they are for you to enjoy.

For a long time, I was known for painting wacky, undersea scenes in watercolor. Most were sold to good homes, but a few were given to my sister. And after looking at those paintings recently, I decided it's high time to start watercoloring again.

But first let me paint a little undersea adventure on a pair of shoes!

These gorgeous gray patent leather boots from Joan & David have a cute little peep toe, decorative buckles, and a 4" heel. They have a zipper, so they're a breeze to put on or take off... but why would you want to take them off?

Anyways, I decided these shoes needed some incredible red branch corals, gigantic pinky-peach sea anemones, and lots and lots of seaweed. Then of course there are the starfish, aqua bubbles and deep blue bubbles, too.

This is such a stunning find! It's a lovely little evening bag-compact -- essentially, a tricked-out compact in its own little black cloth carrier, and it's in simply incredible condition. It still contains the original square Volupte powder puff, sifter screen and powder; it also has a small compartment for little necessities (about 1.75x3" and .5" deep); and it has a spot for a tube of lipstick.

For a special occasion, you could easily put a small vial of perfume in the case, along with a slim eyeshadow; a mini mascara might even work (think *wedding tears* they happen even to the toughest modern girl!).

The carrier has a small pouch on the back with a faux tortoiseshell comb in it.

The front of the compact has a beautiful floral design, with plenty of pink roses and blue and yellow wildflowers, all with plenty of swirling green leaves and yellow scrolls.

Pink Roses and Rhinestone handpainted enamel brooch

This sweet little brooch features a handpainted rose over a white guilloche enamel medallion surrounded by tiny faux pearls. As if that weren't enough, there are white enamel flowers set with bright pink rhinestones surrounding the center, all over some petal-like filigree. Such shabby-retro charm!

The brooch closes securely, and the bar in the back is nice and straight, too. The whole pin measures about 1.5" across and is in excellent condition -- the enamel flowers on the outer edge are a bit chippy, but I think it's charming! There are no missing stones or faux pearls.

This incredible find features a double strand of the most unusual moonglow beads I've ever seen -- they almost look like they have ridges, but it's all a trick of the light! They're perfectly smooth, and they seem to glow from within. Then there are the crystals -- there are 8 sections of the most beautifully faceted Austrian crystals, giving this necklace even more sparkle and shine!

These beautiful earrings feature crystal clear vintage glass prisms up-cycled from an old chandelier! Really, I chopped up a poor old, decrepit chandelier, cleaned all of the parts I could save, and have slowly been turning them into jewelry!

This incredible find from Royal Traveller just may be my favorite suitcase... and I might steal it from the shop.

But don't tell The Man. He thinks I have to much stuff. (And he doesn't even have visiting privileges in my crazy 18'-long closet. And he NEVER WILL. hehehe)

This case is in excellent vintage condition -- it has a small stain on the lining, two tie downs, and another piece that pulls over to keep things organized. There is no key with this case. It has a few marks on the exterior, but is still an incredible cherry-red suitcase and everyone will be jealous of you for finding such a cool thing!

This little beauty would be perfect for your own magical beauty potions or lotions.... not that you need them, of course!

It was most likely a cold cream jar and has a metal screw-top lid, which was scrupulously cleaned by its original owner because the metal is in practically pristine condition (white on the outside, shiny brass on the inside). The jar itself features a lovely scroll work design on 2 sides, and no maker's mark underneath aside from the number 6.

Love Elixir No. 6??? Maybe!
