This Fun and Funky Mermaid Art Quilt is made of 100% cotton and Batik fabrics and batting. The completed quilt is fused and machine appliquéd, machine and hand stitched and quilted using Sulky cotton and polyester thread.

Siren is flanked by red coral and in the foreground is a bright blue saucy starfish.

The quilt is multicolored and vibrant – patterned in blue, red, green, orange, aqua, and turquoise with an aqua batik surreal background mirroring the wonderful azure blues of the Caribbean.

25 1/2 inches by 22 1/2 inches

It has a wall pocket across the full width of the quilt for hanging and support, which provides for a flat lay against your wall. The binding is hand turned and sewn, as is the artist signature block label.

Color coordinated cotton fabric is used on the backing and border to accent and enhance the quilt design. The border is a rich batik in hues of yellow, gold, orange and corals with a gold flowing design in the fabric. The background is quilted in waves representing the sea.

The hummingbirds outside my window inspired me to make this quilt. This is a landscape Hummingbird Handmade Art Quilt Wall Hanging made of 100% cotton and Batik fabrics and batting. The completed landscape quilt is machine appliquéd, machine and hand stitched and quilted using Sulky cotton and polyester thread.

The quilt is multicolored and vibrant – patterned in lush colors of coral, purple, yellow, orange, aqua and green Batiks. The sky is a solid cotton fabric in an inky teal blue color. All other edges are hand turned and machine finished.

Tropical and vibrantly depicted, Tallulah the Toucan is featured in colors of the jungle. She’s orange, green, yellow, turquoise, blue and black.

She sits among multi colored foliage and just glows with the richness of the brilliantly hued Bird of Paradise that she is.

Lots of brightly colored Batik fabric with a stained glass look Batik background in shades of blues, teals, greens and golds that, to me, resemble a jungle when it rains.

The border is a dotted coordinating Batik in similar colors. The back is a brighter green coordinated Batik fabric.

The background is quilted leaves in gold and green threads, some resembling the fabric leaves. Quilted vines also curve through the background.
