The book has black stitching on the side with some yummy green fibers, multicolored coordinating beads and a beautiful golden lily charm. <br /><br />There are 34 unlined pages in this journal. They are white, cream, tan, and co-ordinating colors, including hand dyed pages that have been colored in coffee.<br /><br />There is a golden accent charm in the upper right hand corner of the journal. (This box is a collectible item.)<br /><br />It's inspiration was based on comments I received about being Italian and a New Yorker while on a cruise several years ago. Needless to say, they weren't nice comments.<br /><br />It shows a woman's hand with a mini fork twirling "spaghetti" strands that are strips of paper with various slurs used for Italians. The "spaghetti" is in a plate with a gun and holster next to the plate. Under the plate is a piece of wood that looks like a chipped kitchen table. <br /><br />Included with this posting is a history of some of the words used in everyday conversation that have racist origins and some information regarding one of the largest lychings in American that was of Italians.<br /><br />This piece is meant to educate the viewer on the stereotypes faced by Italians in America. <br /><br />This item was featured at a solo art show at Art Lab sponsored by COAHSI. In the upper right hand corner is a raised image of the word, "Wonder"<br /><br />The box itself is black with black ink enhancing the wood on the back. It is a hand held bag, with a handle is a braided cream color satin cording. It is long enough to wear on the shoulder as well. <br /><br />It closes via golden colored snap. The interior is lined with simple black fabric. <br /><br />It measures to be: 7.5 in by 8 in and its a bit over 2 in. wide. It is just yummy. The necklace is on two pieces of twisted silver and closes via a beautiful clasp.
